Help. Only have reverse and first gear. Vss, revolution sensor?
adamzan replied to jamesr403's topic in The Garage
Not my pic, stole it from someone else. I don't currently have a trans sitting in my garage, lol. -
I have one too. The one in my 94 is missing. But my 95 still has it.
-
Check sensors like the o2, and coolant temp. And the maf wiring is notorious for causing Intermittent issues like this. Don't use sea foam it is a waste of time. How would you notice it Leaking out of the manifold? Only if it is cracked or leaking I guess.

Still trying to figure out Ticking & knocking Sound
adamzan replied to Macrow's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Rev the engine up while under the hood, if it sounds like a snapping sound more than a ticking, it's the manifolds. They will be louder under load. Lifters will go with the speed of the motor. -

I'm not sure you could, I have replaced a trans in these trucks and have had the interior apart completely. Last time I looked there wasn't really a direct access "hole" in that area. I mean maybe if you tear the console/shifter/handbrake and their mounts out, but it is probably easier to just lower the trans down a bit. -

Here is what the FSM says about changing it. I believe it is on top of the trans. Take a look at the second pic: -

adamzan replied to jamesr403's topic in The Garage
The revolution sensor is NOT the same as the one on the tcase held in with a 10mm bolt. That is the vehicle speed sensor. -
Did you or someone have the pan off recently? Because that usually happens when someone leaves the stick in the holder when reinstalling the pan. And it gets caught.
-
The first one is your fuel pressure regulator hose. It isn't cut, it is about that long, and probably wasn't noticed when removing the intake manifold. Youll see the barb it fits on, on the back.
-
I'm not sure why they would be different. I don't have time at the moment to look but is there a difference in the length for those part numbers or something? Because I know for a fact you can just take the adjustable ones out and put in the normal shocks. They are just shocks with a valve in them.
-
It doesn't matter. The adjustable suspension shocks are the same length/mounting points/whatever. You just unplug them, zip tie the connector out of the way, and install new shocks, easy.
-
That's what I'm thinking, you need to take the wheels off and service the brakes. Do all 4 corners. And repack the front bearings at the same time. Mine gets 16-17mpg even with 33's so definitely something wrong there.
-
This happened to mine after a windshield replacement, it would leak and water would get into the harness somewhere. I got it fixed under warranty, but it was the exact same symptoms. Sounds like if it is damp out, it does it until the truck warms/drys. I would check all your connections for corrosion or moisture in them. It was the same speed sensor code it threw as well.

1994 Nissan Pathfinder LE Serious Radio Issues
adamzan replied to brc19761's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
With all the time spent on this you could just go to the junkyard and find another stock head unit. Or buy an aftermarket one. -
Yes it can. Another very common cause of that code is the maf sensor wiring at the connector. It is a well documented issue.
-
The Facebook retards are all saying they're gone. I doubt he would just stop like that.
-
You just need the transmission, you can re use your transfer case.
-
You know what is weird. The JDM engine I bought came with Denso spark plugs. I'm sure they were never changed as the motor only had about 30k on it. I replaced them with NGK plugs of course
-
I like how you use the correct spark plug for the engine. Instead of most people on here who say "I installed autolite platinum plugs and it misfires and gets @!*% gas mileage". Buy a new/used engine. If the keyway is messed up any fix will just be a bandaid that you can't trust.
-
That happened to me as well. Fried the dimmer switch when installing a radio that ended up being farked. I just got a used one from the JY. I actually have a spare around somewhere if you want it, for the price of shipping.

The 94 cluster has some SLIGHT differences. Like I mean you would not notice unless you have them both side by side. Like I did, lol.
