  1. Turned out to be the oxygen sensor. Would the O2 sensor being lazy cause power loss while driving?
  2. Well I've smelled my pathfinder running pretty rich lately, and also have noticed a loss in power especially when shifting into third gear along with a slight hesitation when its cold (only in 3rd for some reason). CEL popped on during the short drive home and ran the code...code 45. Ive noticed alot of people saying this can be caused by bad 02, how can I test it? The oil smells like fuel also. I dont have the room to work on it right now and I will probably be taking it in tomorrow. Anything I should know before taking it in? Is there a specific injector that they should look at first? Just tryin to go in with as much info as I can, but also dont want to start telling dude how to do his job.
  3. Thanks guys, I took the truck last night after it was running. I needed my vehicle today. I will be taking it back ASAP though.
  4. It turned out to be the fusible link to the ignition, also the previous owner decided to install a hack job alarm system then half ass take it out. So thats being returned to factory also soon, I might as well bite the bullet and have it all cleaned up.
  5. It wasnt so much of a spark as a bulb blowing and giving off a good flash. And I agree, I dont want to tear into it and hand it off. I just need to find a mechanic I feel comfortable with letting dive into my wiring. Ill crawl around under there in the A.M. and see if I see anything obvious. Couldnt of happened at a crappier time! Cost of the bill should be fun.
  6. Well I bought my Pathfinder earlier this year with the dash voltage regulator bad, I switched that out and then the gas gauge didnt work. I just dealt with it. Lately ive noticed for a split second the HVAC back lights would come on, then I didnt see them. Well today I hopped in and started it up, and I saw a flash on the cluster (im thinking top right light, cant think right now). Now I dont have any radio, tail lights, dash lights, turn signal nothing. The headlights and the car run thats it. Where do I even start? Im no electrician and I know im going to have to take it to a mechanic. Fuses are good from what I can see.
  7. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/19042-pathfinder-common-problemsfixes-read-this-first/?p=99peep that thread. I put a new regulator in, but my gas gauge still reads wonky, I have no idea whats going on with it. It will read correctly when I fill up, then its way off after that. Dipping down to E and back up etc.
  8. Thanks ill swing by tomorrow, I found the part number. http://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/parts/nissan-guide-assy~32850-v5001.html
  9. Correct. Im assuming its the plastic bushing at the end on the ball of the shifter? One never came out the first time it was popped out. Does anyone have a part number?
  10. Hey guys, just did the fluid ch ange on my car. (gallon of GL-4 and a quart of stabilizer) shifts really well other than it being super loose! It wasnt before, but now its real lose, I have alot of play. My hands are destroyed from that sharp metal ring so I really dont want to go back in there right now. Is this a 911 thing? When I popped the shifter out, I didnt see a bushing, it was just the metal rod along with the snap rings etc, and thats how it went back in. But it didnt feel like this beforehand.
  11. Thanks, I might as well just order the exact stuff instead of half assing it with what I can find. Also is there another brand of fluid I should be looking at other than Redline MT 90? Anything less expensive?
  12. I cant find any GL-4 locally in 75/90. Can I use 85/90 GL-4 in its place and be fine?
  13. Whats weird is it was working (but sometimes wonky) before I did the regulator. Im wondering now if its just working correctly it exposed an issue with the sending unit. I dont want to drop the coin on the sending unit only for it to not be the issue.
  14. Im able to use a jumper to manipulate the ohms at the wires coming out of the sender, and the guage moves, does this mean for sure its the sending unit? im at a loss.
  15. I just recently did the voltage regulator repair, and now I have my temp gauge, but the fuel gauge isnt moving up. I have power to it, the right voltage and I did the grounding trick behind the cluster and it moved so im assuming that part is functioning. How do I test my fuel sending unit? I have it all uncovered right now, just not sure where and what to check for. thank you.
