The only time you hear the supercharger is if you are well into the throttle. Normal, reasonable driving you would never notice.

What about the ground on the battery cable that is bolted to the body? Mine was loose/rusty. Cleaned it up and it fixed a few problems. One being my temp gauge would move with any electrical load.

After having both, the X has some pluses, but there are quite a few things it lacks that my wd21 has. Here is a brief list. Missing from X that my Wd has: -heated seats -heated mirrors (in Canada or winter states this is a plus) -rear seats don't seem to recline or have headrests. -rear seats don't have arm rests -coil sprung suspension (every X I looked at had broken leaf packs) -tire carrier -rear glass that opens Also you have to remove the seat bottoms when folding the seats which kind of sucks but if I'm camping it gives me more room. But if you need to use them in a pinch while the bottoms are at home this presents a problem. The truck feels marginally faster. More torque for sure. I have the supercharged version with a fresh motor. It is also way harder on fuel than my wd21. For no reason. Runs great, no codes. Pluses for the X: -No frame rot -No floor panel rot -No flares to rot out fenders -Good headlights/fog lights -Cool looking roof rack -More parts available as they're newer They are very similar front end wise. Going from a pathy I found myself at home. Only difference is no stupid tension rods. Also the ball joints are press in not bolt in, bottom ones have a large but which is a pita.

Cleaning up the grounds and connections does worlds of good for an older car. Fix like 10 issues on mine that way in one shot.

Are all the bulbs of the right type. Sometimes people put in what ever they find.

All it does is add noise.

I had a similar problem, it was the ground that supplies ground for the taillight harness itself. Tiny ass black wire. FYI, there are a lot of pink wires with blue stripes on these rigs. Where you at in WA? I'm currently passing through.

Access the bolts through the starter hole. Remove the gusset there for even more room.

I found them way too soft in the front. Rode like an old Buick from the 70s. Not sure about you but I like a firmer ride so I went with the ranchos.

That will not fit without a relocation kit. The oem Nissan filters are also way bigger than Fram or purolator. Worth picking up a case at the dealer they are only 8 bucks last I checked. Better than any aftermarket carp.

No, you'll need to use a T with some extra hose and clamps.

Have you checked the vacuum line that goes from the fuel pressure regulator to the back of the intake manifold. If you look near where the cut out for the number 6 spark plug is, you'll see it. Mine fell off and caused the truck to run rough.

It is common up here to use oil based rustproofing. Most of it is environmentally friendly now. It is about 100 bucks a year and they soak the @!*% out of the truck. My rockers don't have any rust at all because of this...

Could be bad steering rack bushings.

Jeez mine isn't even that bad and I'm in Canada. I would see if you can get access to a sand blaster. All that rust converter stuff doesn't do anything. If you can see rust/pitting, it will come back. I would blast it, paint it and fill the rockers with oil spray once repaired.

Sounds like a dead fan clutch. Also is there any dirt or debris in the radiator fins? That can cause issues.

It does make a huge difference. Have to re do it every few months or so if you wheel a lot but no big deal.

I know what you mean by thicker, but it fit fine on mine. The studs are flush with the edge of the nuts, which is fine. Where does it not fit?

I did that to mine but I used brake cleaner to clean all the surfaces first. I ended up loading it with fluid film. But damn does it ever glide in nice even with a 33" tire on it.

I have a zip lock bag in the glove compartment full of fuses. I raid JY pathy's and other vehicles with the same type. fskc paying for fuses. I do the same with bulbs Not sure there was actually a separate connection just for the amps. It was just the 2 radio connectors IIRC. They took the signal right to the amps through that harness.
