  1. I could use a model of the frame I need to know where that cross member goes for the rear axle arm things (still don't know what there called).
  2. I wouldn' take it to sams club anymore.....Is that the same thing as costco up here? Because if it is, well my dad took the wd21 to get new tires and they didnt even tell him that it had holes in the frame.
  3. It says not to in the haynes manual
  4. I have a pathfinder that is red = redfinder I am very uncreative.
  5. Make sure you clean out your frame rails ! My dads old boss used to own my wd21 and he did that exact same thing except on both sides or so i heard.
  6. That would be like 95% of them....I try to get people who I meet at school with pathy's to check it out.
  7. could also mean your oil is low.....my friends car did that when he got a hole in the oil pan. although I've never run our pathy's that low on oil ever. Just an idear
  8. lol. I have a ten day trial for WoW right at the moment. Will see if i buy a game card on wednesday.....
  9. Is this site really prone to deals gone bad or something?
  10. What is the highest you have for any of the wd21 pathfinders? IMO You don't need to study pathys, as anyone here can say their reliability is unparalleled compared to the competition.
  11. I second that, it also says it in the haynes/chiltons manuals
  12. Yeah, thats what i did, because the noise was driving me nuts. I've been wondering if that bike rack i had on there caused any premature wear of the bushings.
  13. did you go through any water, that could've fried your alternator, but either way a battery or alternator doesn't cost that much, especially if you put the alternator in yourself.
  14. Yeah stick r50s are rare, but they're nice! Watchout for rust on the drivers side rear fender lip, i have a nasty bubble there. No o2 sensors have gone bad for me yet Oh and the gas filler tube, this happened to us recently (got a hole from corrosion and leaked)
  15. A guy at nissan told my dad that even though he's at 197k on his 2000, and the interval is at 160k, that the belts are "pretty tough". We'll see how tough they are when it breaks and i get another free truck! But yeah, get it done asap, had one break on our old mazda 929, luckily didn't break anything.
  16. Or maybe you shouldn't have sat there and spun your tires. For future reference, starting off real slow on the gas and keeping it in first gear usually works well. Although, I wouldn't buy a 2wd SUV not meant as an insult, just my 2 cents
  17. I have to agree the electrical problems on these trucks are peanuts compared to other brands, unless you've left your truck sit and mice have chewed the wires. Also, I'd like someone to show me at least 20 Gm's fords or chryslers that run as good as the pathys that people i know own and are at atleast 240k. I'd never buy an american vehicle, ever. I learned from my parents and friends mistakes.
  18. Mines gonna look new when its done. And It won't rust again. Make sure to POR15 that frame.
  19. That is pretty rusty, but for a wheeling truck it wouldn't really make a difference i guess. At least your frame looks decent. Mines really rotted, you can probably find my threads on that somewheres.
  20. A junk rush job, yes, and it will also need to be completly redone in a year or two.
  21. Just keep truckin along on it and don't give up, thats what I always think.
  22. I know for a fact that for the frame, if it needs any patching, you'll need thicker than sheet metal. But for the body it would probably depend on the extent of the rust to consider removing the body off the frame. I've seen replacement fenders and stuff on ebay for pathfinders for relativly cheap, like 40-50 bucks IIRC. I know i'll be buying one.
