IIRC if the belt is off three or more teeth, pistons start hitting valves.

ewwwww thats exactly what my frame looked like when my dad gave me my first pathfinder. And I called every shop in the area and none of them would even look at it (told me to go buy a blazer b/c they're cheaper to maintain). Good on you for getting it fixed. Prevent it from happening again, and it will last you a looooooong time. I'm going to work on mine as a "project" of sorts.

Thats brents truck isn't it.

Missing/Broken Cowl Vents/Grilles? Don't buy used ones!

Pavelow Leaks??? I think his was a fuel rail problem wasn't it? -
I usually do anyways for gas mileage , cause they thew on some roughrider radial AP tires on the back to pass safety, they have lots of tread left, but they suck. The fronts are goodyear wrangler radials and the treads a lot better. I'm gunna switch them up if i can find the time. Tires make a world of difference on these things I think. The r50 sucked in the winter with the bfg long trails, but with the revo's, its like saying to bad winter everytime i drive it. The only time I find that I have a lot of trouble is when the snow is packed down, and it turns really hard, thats where I've gotten stuck. Just a pita to go underneath and pull her into 4x4

I don't think so, its an XE and my other one is an SE. But I didn't think all the SE's had the lsd. The se does have disk brakes though, someone told me that on pathfinders if i have the disk brakes generally you'll have the lsd, but who knows. Its wierd because my friend was watching me, and sometimes in 2wd both rear tires would spin, sometimes only one, and then in 4wd on ice, all 4 spun

Pull the fuse? But I guess then the computer with complain and throw up some kinds of error light. I find my wd21 to be really light in the back, like in snow, i can hardly get anywhere without the 4wd, I think the carrier weighs the rear down, as my old one has more traction in 2wd.

there is usually a lot of clunking with frame failure as well.....
-
I have a sagging tbar in the front right, and 220,000 kms on my 95, and it seems to be pretty tight, or at least better than I expected a wd21 to handle (my first time driving one on the road in 3 years)

Nice flex man V6, I used to think the r50's were kinda gay looking and were useless for wheeling before I joined this board and saw pezzy's and alex's rigs
-
i think your probably right
-
Simons right, its all about the driver. My friend took his 97 plymouth breeze (a front wheel drive CAR) through some sh!t that I wouldn't take my pathy through. And we somehow made it out.....

Did you pay this person? Because if you did......small claims court? And chriskaw440, not at the welders house, the welder himself
-
So a stock first gen X should drive somewhat similiar to a stock first gen pathy except bulkier?
-
I went to the dealer to get some prices on parts and a salesman said to me, your driving one of those old pathfinders? I said yeah, the ones with a real frame and real axle in the back, not like the mall crawler piece of sh!t we're standing next to. Even they admitted it had lost its way and that if you can find an 87-95 in good shape, keep it for as long as you can.

Mines great on the highway, and yeah, its definitely better than the car's I've driven. I find my wd21 handles corners way better than our rodeo does even with the one sagging tbar (way less body roll). Although, the r50 is really nice for trips as well. The furthest we've taken it (r50) is from ottawa to Orillia, which is a bit over an hour north of toronto. Around 1000km round trip

I'm not going to replace mine until the originals break off. Also I don't get any smell on any fan speed and I haven't cleaned out the plenum. -
Mine aren't even broken on my old red one, and it has some bad rust! And 220k miles. What kind of driving would do that?
-
I guess he disappeared again
-
Could you not just cut out the rusted areas and rivet the new steel plate in and seal it with silicon? Thats what I had done to the left of my brake pedal in the fender and where your feet sit while driving

My old one went from ottawa to washington dc and somewhere in virginia like 3 or 4 times, all of those times nothing ever let us down, although while we were at my dads friends place (our destination) we did replace the front and rear bumpers, although that was planned when we left. Also there where countless trips from ottawa to montreal, toronto, mont tremblant (resort). the last road trip we ever took her on was a few weeks before we stopped driving it. It had 340k on it and we left ottawa, drove to montreal to see my uncle, drove around there a bit, then headed up to mont tremblant for a nice vacation. After that we went straight back to ottawa. Truck had no issues. Ever. I'd drive my new one to florida and back right now. If i had the cash

Yeah I pulled off the tail gate skin, and all the connections look good. The motor just isn't working and it isn't coming down enough to push that little switch that lets the hatch open. But it doesn't matter right now as the right glass hinge is broken Thanks, I couldn't remember what that rust converter was called. People around here told me to por15 the frame too. Ill do it this spring. I'm going to be working on the torsion bars and tcase linkage today before it goes in for the speaker installation. I'll post up some detailed pics of what happened if i can.

How did you guys plug them in my factory plugs are different than the new infinity's i just got. Is an adapter available, or am I supposed to just solder the wires to the new speakers.
