  1. Hey now you don't need tie wraps to hold on your license plate I wish i had access to a shop like that
  2. That looks sweet. Those rims look like the ones on my dads r50 lol
  3. Yep yozsi hit the nail on the head, thats if your truck is 90+ IIRC
  4. Last time my truck was doing that it was one of my frame crossmembers working its way loose. Those exact symptoms.
  5. Just change the belt. Its probably worn anyways
  6. Wheel bearings, our truck is doing it too. thats what im betting on
  7. Up here, i've been surprised with the quality of some of the canadian tire brand (mastercraft) tools. But usually I buy snap-on or that other major brand, cause I'm hard on my stuff (damn rusty pathy bolts)
  8. I wish i had as much money as you.
  9. hmm our 00 is going to need new pads soon too. Has anyone ever had to change the rear drums? The mech at the dealer told me that they should last the life of the truck if you don't drive with the parking brake on. (5speed)
  10. Maybe they couldn't get the wire onto the number six plug
  11. You don't have to get a ribbed pan, you just have to bypass the stock tranny cooler and install an aftermarket one.
  12. Well because its been sitting maybe one of your lines rotted out, Is it near the front or the rear of the truck? I've seen lines rot on trucks before that sit over the winter and come spring time you've got no brakes. Brake lines aren't a big job though.
  13. You should see this truck im trying to get running, its an 88 pathy thats been sitting for 5 years. I could barely get it to turn over, and I fried my booster cables
  14. Then your truck is stock.
  15. close enough, your just jealous because you don't have EFI :tonguefinger:
  16. I have that manual too, its a piece of sh!t. Get the factory service manual = SO much better. You don't have the circular air intake because your truck is EFI not carburated like the 87-89 models. does your engine look like this: ?
  17. If you take care of it, it will last a long friggin time, my dad told me yesterday, that if the frame didn't rot out, he'd stil be driving the 93 that he gave me, It has 340k kilometers which is roughly 220k miles? It runs damn well, and was maintained at the intervals in the manual. I'd say, mechanically, its in better shape than ANY of the gm, ford, or chrysler trucks in this hole area with that many miles on them, because id like to see a gmc jimmy with that much milage with such low repair bills (like 3 things went wrong in that time frame) They are probably the best suv ever. period. I haven't seen one that could take more of a beating and still run great. Check the garage section and the how to's and you'll find a wealth of info.
  18. I want to see pictures of your engine bay, suspension and steering system. Cause I want whatever enables you to do chit like that
  19. well if it handles better without the tie rods it'd probably be bad a$$ if you disconnect the ball joints
  20. They don't look too bad the way they are now, but maybe they just need a cleaning, i haven't really looked into it yet as im trying to get a steering knuckle and spindle and everything after that!
  21. 53 inch tires? HOLY CHIT BATMAN Where did those come from Well there is one difference you're going a lot faster on the road. But to each his own. I drive crazy sometimes but try to stay safe. I guess if you know your trucks limits....
  22. My truck used to enjoy driving untill the frame went to hell But I've got a new one to get me around, and I'm going to try and rebuild my old one. So if you're rebuilding anything i am, i'd like to seen how you do it.
  23. Those look awesome, now is there anything I can do to the chrome ones that my new pathy has? Im going to put my legos and 31s on but I'd like to have a second set of decent looking rims
  24. If yours is a 93 like you sig states the CC will be on your signal lever with a master switch beside your rear defroster switch, thats how it is in my 93
  25. Mine looked quite solid before I took off the tires and gave it a real hard look, But yours could very well be in good shape. But if there are any holes get it reinforced ASAP and then POR-15 it.
