  1. Oil pan gasket? You recently did your tranny right? I remember reading somewhere that if the motor is not supported that it could damage the oil pan or something.
  2. Take an 87-2000 VG powered pathy for a test drive and you will never complain about power again LOL. Kidding aside there really is no specific performance parts for the r50s which sucks!
  3. X2 I did this to 4x4pathy94's truck and now it starts everytime instead of click click click, wait a few mins, click click START.
  4. Neither of my 95's have an airbag.
  5. Just so you know what kingman is talking about, these are the tension rod bushings. Also known as compression rod. Same thing.
  6. Not sure about local stores but rockauto has them and 4x4parts.com has the polyurethane ones which are much better but cost more.
  7. At that many miles I would replace the upper and lower link bushings as well as the panhard rod bushings. I did it to my pathy at 170k miles and it really tightened things up.
  8. If it was code 13 (the other way around) engine coolant temp sensor, that could also cause it to put WAY too much fuel in.
  9. Injectors? I don't really know how the tbi works but I do know it has 2 injectors.
  10. I had a severely worn lower ball joint on my drivers side and it amplified the shimmy. It was so bad you could move it up and down easily in the socket.
  11. You are probably right. Just for the record I bought 3 of mine in august 09 (two uppers one lower) and one lower in may 09. They were all either moog or TRW, I can't remember. It's been 9 months now and my ball joints are still nice and tight. I've put about 15,000kms on the truck since then and I have gone on 4 or 5 wheeling trips. Plus the random playing in the snow. Given the quality of our roads here I am surprised they lasted this long! My drivers side outer TRE is pretty loose right now though...
  12. You know, I bought new ball joints for my dads r50, and they were the lifetime warranty TRW ones from partsource, no zerks either. Even the oem lowers on his truck (that were only slightly worn at 240,000kms) didn't have them. The new ones I bought for my wd21 the lowers had no zerks but the uppers did and they were all the same brand
  13. I think he was just saying that the ones without the grease fittings tend to be the cheaper ones, while the higher quality ones, like moog, have grease fittings.
  14. They are full of @!*% some dealers just don't want to do it. Bring it to another one. I'm lucky the first dealer I went to said it was covered.
  15. I found if the alignment is not PERFECT it will cause the truck to shimmy at random times.
  16. I paid 1200 even to have my entire system replaced...It was the damn Y pipes that cost the most.
  17. Just snug up all those hose clamps on the fuel rail. Takes you 5 minutes. I did that to my pathy when I first got it just to prevent this issue. Some were getting loose.
  18. I used the same stuff when I was broke. It held up for about 2 weeks. For that summer I just kept reapplying it every 2 weeks
  19. The only time I ever smelled brakes was when my friend was driving the @!*% out of his old gmc sierra and would accelerate and stop very hard. Are you hard on your brakes?
  20. I'm pretty sure the timing on the TBI pathfinders is supposed to be at 12 degrees BTDC
  21. I just did this today (also swapped an LSD in place of open) and used castrol hypoy C 80w90 and some store brand LSD additive...Made by revive. Worked great.
  22. Try to get valvoline max life ATF. It is great stuff.
  23. I guess living in california you don't have to worry about this kinda stuff. I have seen 2 pathfinders worse than that one that have been repaired, one of them is on this forum. It can be done in a weekend with 50 bucks in plate steel and a couple rolls of mig wire.
  24. Run the truck for 10-15 minutes. My original O2 sensor came out like a hot knife through butter. The exhaust pipes won't be that hot but be careful.
