  1. Is your throttle cable hung up? My dads truck had a high idle after a shop repaired something and turns out the throttle cable for the cruise control was popped out of the actuator and causing it to idle at like 1700..
  2. Could also be the 02 sensor if it is old.
  3. Actually you turn lots of heads if its coated with mud! Other than that no one really notices...Maybe it was a chick magnet back in 95?
  4. If you can, jack up the truck and put it on a jackstand, then remove the tire, and use the jack to jack up the control arm so there is no pressure on the rod. I found it a lot easier to work this way!
  5. Also new ones at a parts store are around 20 bucks...
  6. You really don't need to be a pro welder to do this. It can be done with one of those 110v fluxcore mig welders. As you can see in edicers pics the bearing race is just tacked on in a bunch of spots.
  7. Maybe take the drum off and bring it somewhere to get them to check it. although it should be fairly obvious
  8. Could it be an injector maybe? There are tests in the FSM for them...
  9. The two sensors on the vg30e are right beside each other. The one for the ecu is the one with the yellow connector IIRC
  10. Yes there is a how to on this forum in the garage section. Also doctorbill did an excellent write up as well. Search for them! At 190k if it's never been done that isn't good. Usually you do these items at the same time: -timing belt -tensioner -water pump -thermostat -cam and crank seals ( I would suggest only if they are leaking though.)
  11. Alright after watching that video it definitely sounds like it could be the timing belt.
  12. I agree with B on the timing belt. I have heard that if it is off a tooth or 2 that it won't rev up all the way. But I have not confirmed this. Also Check your MAF sensor and the wiring going to it. It is known for the wiring to fail right at the connector because of the sharp angle it is on. Try wiggling the wires while the truck is running to see if it affects anything.
  13. Something similar happened on my old 93 it turned out the linkages in the door for the lock were seizing. Lubed them up and no problems again.
  14. Dududucklings 2000 SE pathy has them too, I thought that was so bad ass when I saw it.
  15. Yeah the o2 if it is bad sometimes will make it hesitate. It did that for nige's truck and mine.
  16. Hey eric let me know the dimensions of the washers and bearing races you use as I just noticed today that one of my bushing cups has split and probably won't last much longer.
  17. Drive up here and we'll fix it.
  18. Its not dropping the tranny that is a pain its the removing all the other stuff lol. Give yourself lots of time man.
  19. X2 Thanks a lot dude!
  20. I want to do the same thing I'm tired of my friends whining about it.
  21. Yeah it could. 4x4pathy94 had that happen to him just after his tranny went, talk about adding insult to injury. His was a rebuilt too.
  22. You can swap the crossmembers.
