  1. I have done some amazing things with that thing. They work well if you know how to use them properly.
  2. Consider this: I don't ever settle down. What kind of a forum is this when I ask a question and get a stupid as hell answer to it.
  3. Yes, let's compare a real SUV to a minivan. The minivan is geared differently for more fuel economy and quietness. It's not meant to go off-road where low gearing is a must and it doesn't have the best Japanese engine ever made that you have in the Pathfinder. The VG engine is the most efficient between 3000 and 4000 rpm. It's normal to drive around doing 3000 rpms. Nissan geared it that way for a reason! When I cruise between 55 and 65 on sloping roads I leave over drive off (equivalent to using a lower gear) and there is plenty of power to get around.
  4. Perhaps their plenums are smaller to begin with? It would make sense that they would put a smaller intake plenum into a smaller car. I need to see some dyno figures.
  5. Except that the intake air will not be that much significantly cooler with the spacer. It does add a little bit of length to the intake runners but the VQ intake runners are good enough as is.
  6. No idea why they did it but it must have been one of those "we have to use this one now" things. I don't think the 94-95 ECU takes full advantage of the new O2 sensor.
  7. Yes, the bungs were changed to the bigger size in 1994 I think.
  8. I don't think there will be any gains with a plenum spacer. At least not from what I remember.
  9. Yes! Test the wiring for continuity and the MAF sensor for the correct voltage output range.
  10. Speaking of tuning... What timing are you running and how do you know it is where it should be? The recommended spec is at 15 BTDC.
  11. To the asshole that's lowering my rep on purpose: Keep going, you are being very productive.

  12. Here is a more helpful tip: Use one of those long skinny extending things with a grip on the other end and pull it out. Can't think of the name right now...
  13. Who is the manufacturer of the wires? Nissan engines work well with either MSD, NGK, or Yazaki wires. No idea on other brands... Have you checked the gap on those plugs by any chance?
  14. Take that junk out of your engine and trade it for NGK V-power plugs. They are just as cheap but actually work well in these engines.
  15. Have you replaced the distributor cap and rotor? What brand of spark plugs are you using? Are the spark plugs in the correct heat range? Do you have any other codes stored in the ECU?
  16. Don't just screw it into the pillar without a proper mount or backing plate.
  17. That's right, gut that crap and be done with it! Mine will just make a popping sound out of the exhaust since I have a high flow cat, which I need to pass inspection around here or it doesn't pass.
  18. We still got those pansy ass speed limits up here in the north east but that definitely saves me some mpgs and $$$ when I choose to follow them.
  19. I wasn't sure about the wiring on TBI units because their MAFS is right inside the throttle body so I don't imagine them having issues with that.
  20. More than likely! The MAFS is everything to that ECU.
  21. I had 19 mpg before and now I'm getting 21 mpg but would probably get more if I went easier on it. Following the maintenance schedule is everything. Also, remember that this truck has the aerodynamics of a brick so the faster you push it, the more energy you will waste. If you look at some early WD21 gauge clusters, there is an arrow right above 55 mph. I think that is the most efficient speed for a WD21.
  22. Amazing! I just can't believe how you made that work. Don't drink and drive!
