  1. I am running 31x10.50x15 BFG's on Stock chrome steelies and I do not rub at all. Not even at full turn-lock.
  2. Dammit I want some skids!!! All I have to do is find the money!!!.
  3. I would think it might be a combination of both. Either way I would definetely look into replacing the shocks and struts since they are 15 years old.
  4. I bought all my parts online from courtesy nissan inc. They are awesome people. I talked one on one with a guy and went over everything I needed and he told me some more helpful tips too. There number is 1-800-527-1909. or 1-972-644-3942. The part number might be different as your doing this job ona 95 correct? I would not see why it would be a different hose but I am not taking any chances. Good luck.
  5. I would check your ignition switch. And I would follow your terminals all the way from the battery. That is where I would start.
  6. I also wanted to add that even though the little coolant bypass hose may not leak or look worn replace it anyway, I imagine it must get pretty hot in there so that hose could rupture. Besides you do not want to overlook that and have to take the front of the engine apart because of that 3.00 tiny hose.
  7. Ok bud that does sound better. And for the record the accord is tuned up, and my wife hardly drives the car anymore. I do, to commute to work usually against a headwind at 5000 ft above sea level. Bring that pathy here and see if you get even 25 on the highway... Oh and by the way my wife is 6' and weighs 150lbs. I weigh 185lbs and am 6'1. So go ahead... tell me to go on a diet dude.
  8. There is no way. My wifes Honda Accord 4-cyl with no weight in it only gets 29-32 on a good day. I can not believe you got 30mpg while towing. These trucks are not even rated for that off the showroom floor.
  9. I agree with Simon, "if it ain't broke dont fix it" I bought both cam seals and the crankshaft seal before attempting the job just incase. After I pulled the front of the engine apart and looked at the seals I determined none of them were leaking. The job itself is really not that hard, if you do a search there is a fantastic step-by-step write up on exactly how to do it and what you will need to do it. Just remember to keep everything in line for timing purposes. Good luck and keep us updated!! If you have problems or questions there is always someone here who can answer them.
  10. I think your permanently disqualified from ever getting 29 mpg with 35" tires and the weight of that arb up front Tyler. Assuming you still have the arb.
  11. That is some really good mileage. I average like 16-18 on the highway cruisin at 75. I know I would probably get a little bit better if I went 65 but I do not want to get run over.
  12. Wow you are really lucky to have gotten off that trail under your own power!! Sorry to hear about your Q though.
  13. If you were having shifting problems then I would say you need to atleast have that thing looked at while it is out of your pathy. I should not be very expensive since it is out of the vehicle. You dont want to just replace seals, change out fluid then reinstall only to have more shifting problems. Might as well recondition that t-case while it is out too.
  14. I rolled mine on it's side but I was doing like 25 sideways when it happened. It would not have happened if my rear tire did not blow, causing the rim to dig in to the dirt and send her over. Got her winched back over, tire changed, let it sit so fluid would run back to where it was supposed to be then started her up and drove her 3 hours in a blizzard with no drivers side window yeah it sucked real bad.
  15. I lived like 20 min from wetumpka but never saw that bad arse ride.
  16. I have only one more addition....Drink beer. I always stop once I start getting really frustrated first off to go get something to wrap up the bleeding with. Second is grab a beer and sit back evaluate the situation.
  17. I will let you guys know what I decide to buy.
  18. Ok cool I am not buying the pilots!! I'll start checking out ebay. Thanks alot guys for chiming in and letting me know what's up before I made a 40 dollar mistake I owe you both a . This might be feasable for Tyler as we live in the same town.
  19. Ok...I already did plan on sealing them up with some acrylic elastomeric stuff but if they are just gonna rust immediately... where the ones you had pilot's Nismo?
  20. Just curious if anybody has run these lights. I did a search and Mr. Pickles had some pilot lights but they were driving lights. These are basically a off-brand cheap arse KC lookin light. They have some cheasy plastic guard on them. I plan on just mounting them to my stock bumper on my R50 in front of the grill. I have not been off-roading much at all lately so I just can not see myself spending too awful much $$ on lights. I am mainly curious of the brand and of any tips on instlaling these. I am not good with electrical so please....be gentile....... I could not find them on the autozone web site but I saw them this past weekend. They are only 40 bucks. They have some KC Hi-lites in there too but they are 110.00. I just can not swing that for lights right now. Thanks everybody
  21. :o Holy crap!! You were not kidding!!
  22. I have never met ya before but I have sure heard of you. I just wanted to say thanks for starting this site. It has literally saved me hundreds of dollars on repairs. Plus there is all kinds of useful info. I am looking forward to what's in store for NPORA.
  23. Ok I have just barely started to compile some parts for a 2" lift. I was thinking about just saving up and getting the prado lift but at this time it is just not practical for me. While it would be nice being 4.5" higher this would mean I need to buy some pretty big tires which in turn means more $$. And my truck is a baby taxi right now so practicallity is pretty important. So for now I will just go 2", then later on after I buy another truck I could stack the prado on top of the 2" lift like Max has done. I will be getting these parts for the 2" lift over time. I was doing a bit of research on springs, I see everybody here as gotten the springs from AC. I personally do not like AC and if I do not have to deal with them then I do not want to. I plan on putting KYB struts up front and I think some Rancho's (I have not done much research on these yet) in the back. Then all I need are the springs and maybe some camber adjustment bolts right??? I might get some 1" spacer for the front too but not too sure yet. In case you have not realized it yet I do not know much at all about suspension. Eventually I do want my R-50 lifted but it is going to take time as $$ is not exactly abundant these days. Is AC the best/cheapest for coils? I am not familiar with OME but I have heard they are more expensive so I am up in the air as to what to do. Is there anybody else that sells springs for the R50 beside having them custom made? I will using the "search" feature more about this but for now I am at work and just wanted some fresh answers on what you guys think.
  24. How old is your battery? If it is not the starter I would look into a dead cell in the battery.
