  1. Yup somebody need to have a talk with Nissan. Along with a swift kick in the nuts. Wonder what the Infinity variant of a patrol would be called? Or look like.
  2. Sounds like a blast!! when we going?
  3. Man sounds like a bad accident. Thank goodness mom and kids are ok(in both vehicles). I freak out all the time now when my preggy wife tells me she and my 2 yr old daughter are going to visit her sister. It is only and hour away but it and hour on I-25 through Denver.
  4. U-joints on the driveshaft possibly. Get underneath and do a visual inspection and shake things like the driveshaft.
  5. XPLOR, seems to have a pic for every situation!! That's awesome.
  6. Just a thought. How much $$ do you think Nissan could make if they did bring the patrol over here?
  7. Wow dagwoodzz! I never even saw your reply or I would have definitely traded up with ya! I have made 5- different 5-gallon batches of beer so far. My favorite is between a strawberry wheat I made and a Nut-brown old castle clone with some different hops. I was just getting really into it when I got this job and now my brewing equipment sits in storage. A sad day indeed. But Pondwater Brewing Co. will brew again!!
  8. Venison jerky!!! *drools a little*
  9. Ouch! 2G's. I do commend you for dishing out the cash on an older pathy. That is pathy love!! Most people would look into other options.
  10. For me it always seems to be that darned power steering belt.
  11. X2 to what 02 said! I am glad this thread is back up and running. Thanks Moderators and Administrator 88! You guys deserve a raise... I went into town the other day and i saw a white R51 pathfinder in the workmans warehouse parking lot and it was lifted on some big wheels and tires. I'd have to say it must have been atleast 4" of lift. I did not get close enough to see what size tires he was running but they were pretty aggressive with some minor bling wheels too. It looked dam good. I do not like the way they look stock but when they are lifted with some beefy tires they look good.
  12. I had the quick squelch at start up and it turned out to be my power steering belt being a little loose. Tighten them bithes up!! I now have a small annoying squeal and my belts are only 10,000 miles old so I think they stretched a little and the fact that is is getting down to like -20 around here isnt helping. I gotta get under there and tighten mine up!!
  13. Bullsh!t!! Show me heeps that last as long as pathy's do when given the same off-road punishment. And yes we consider frontier "things" and X's the best Nissan offers simply because that is all we can get. Isnt that obvious?
  14. Maybe it was a "soft roader" but it still won best new 4x4 in the years of 1987 and 1990. Since then they have fallen off the pace. I think it would be a good idea to re-vamp the pathfinder name to a contender for 4x4 of the year. I mean if you think about it what does Nissan have that most those other 4x4's dont? Reliabilty. Just my thoughts though. I am not trying to take anything away from the X. They are definetely the direction Nissan is going with their 4X4's. I have seen some truly awesome looking X's on Roninwheelers and that is cool and all I just dont like how tall and weirdly shaped they are.
  15. You all make good points, GG is right though the X is too tall and awkward and I personally dont like the styling. Pathfinder was Nissan's off-road baby, and I think it should stay that way. Obviously Nissan kinda has that intention or it would not even bother with the Best new 4X4 competition. Figures we finally get a V-8 and the off-road capability goes down the shi!!er. Maybe they should re-brand the Pathfinder as the Mallfinder then.
  16. I picked up a copy of Petersons 4X4 today and it had the 2008 4x4 of the year article (main reason I picked up the mag). I am going to make this short. The Pathfinder did not fair well at all. Except for on high speed desert tracks where it was considered reputable. They actually considered the Pathy to be on the bottom of the pack when it came to hill/rockcrawling. They consider the traction control system to be annoying, dangerous and horrible and the proof is there in the article. It shows a pic of the tires and they are shredded. Ok I'll stop now but lastly they say that the pathfinder has lost the path and found the pavement as a grocery getter. Sad Sad Sad. I hope that someone from Nissan takes this article to heart and remembers what the heritage of the Pathfinder is brings it back. I apologize for this post being so negative, but I am a proud pathfinder owner and it saddens me to read this so I thought I would share it. On a side note back in 1987 the Pathfinder (two door) won the 4x4 of the year. It did it again in 1990 (four door) it is time to bring that honor back.
  17. I love that grill!! Looks really good. Sorry to hear about the damage your other vehicles suffered though.
  18. This thread is one of the most 'friendly' political threads we have yet, although it didn't start as a political one. Perhaps people have learned, to some degree, to discuss or even argue their points without becoming childish? Disagreements of opinion are fine, healthy even, as long as it doesn't degenerate to insults and name calling. This was quoted from Precise. Did you read it up until this thread got locked? It got down to some name calling. And yes I admit I was doing some of the name calling. I still do not think these types of posts belong here but that is just my opinion. If this is supposed to be "family friendly" then why do we allow these posts. You can not argue that a good majority of them end up in name calling. True people can chose to ignore the posts and I do alot of the time but I have always spoke my mind no BS if I dont like something or someone I will tell them always have always will. If this site has evolved since it started then it should not still be called NPORA. The reason this post pissed me off was over a picture of a kid with his leg blown off. Yeah that's "family friendly"
  19. Looks real good. Good job so far!!
  20. continue in this manner and there won't any mod interference.. if/when this disintigrates into name calling and such, then the hated edits come into play. Is this my Q to jump back in?
  21. We use those alot at work. They actually make different sizes too. I kept one for my truck so I could put my tire chains and some other odds and ends in it.
  22. Let's be honest here, yes quite a few people view your posts V6 but I would say half of the people "tune in" to see what kind of argument has erupted from it. I know it turned ugly between you and I have apologized for my actions.
  23. Some of my posts were deleted. I guess I was being a bit of a poopie head.
