  1. mine were worse then that, they had no rubber at all. AC sells poly bushings but i also bent one of my control arms, i just decided to buy 2 new trailing arms. it was going to cost me $110USD but sense the dealership calls me a regular i got them for $75USD each. you also have to buy new hardware, you will probably have to cut your bolts off. alex
  2. hes correct, its a 27 mm. i think they are the same on the vg30 and vg33 truck motors.
  3. it takes like 20 minutes to switch out the VSS, its located at the tail end of the transfer case on the passenger side mid way up the t-case. has 1 10 mm bolt holding it on. check pinnacle for prices, i just to have one lying around ill try and see if i can find it.
  4. its your transmission computer saying that your VSS has gone out. replace it and no more blinky and a lot more speedometer...
  5. someone hit my rear bumper end and SCREWED it up. so i replaced both sides with the chrome ends. and got a chrome front bumper and grille. i like the look of the chrome more.
  6. are you sure you have no prewiring for a trailer? or any evidence of it? when i was down in moab this last june my trailer plug was wrapped around my hitch, hit it on a rock and it tore out all of the wiring. i didnt notice until dan told me my brake lights were not functioning. i would check that again. alex
  7. eh i was just guessing off memory.
  8. it doesnt really matter what gear oil you put in the diffs anyways. just put in some GL-4 and call it good.
  9. geeze your having a lot of problems with your pathy haha
  10. it could possibly be the switch. it just went out at the same time you decided to install new lights. thats what happened to my vss. i went through a huge mud puddle, the speedo started acting up. i thought i had seriously messed somethin up. turned out the vss just went out at that exact time. alex
  11. i hear ya dean, same here, when i do my rear diff next time im going to figure out some kinda of diff skid plate so i dont have to worry about the drain plug.
  12. yeah its not that hard, just take the dimmer wire on the overhead console and hook it to the factory stereo dimmer wire. lol
  13. dude please.... do you really think people are going to help you if you come on and say please use it...
  14. i have the 32 bfg ats, they will fit you just need new wheels with a 4 inch BS or less.
  15. lets just ive had water covering half my speakers, no problems other than tearing out the carpet and cleaning it.
  16. add a new tranny to that too. the 2wd trans are different, the output shafts have different lengths between the 2wd and 4wd, so you would need a 4wd tranny. front axle, cvs, front driveshaft, 4wd spindles, hubs etc etc...
  17. yes those are the temp sensors, you only need one tho... i dont know what the other one is for.
  18. i dont think it would fit the contour of your roof line. but the actual screen that displays the temp/compass is removable. so you could build your own console or locate the temp/compass screen elseware. maybe under the radio? have some seethrough black plastic and then have the digital screen behind it? i think that would look way cool.
  19. alright guys i was a little bored tonight. i hooked up my overhead display temp readout to my coolant temp sensor just to see if it would work. the display stopped at 131 for me. after that it just displays "---" like dean said above. so i guess its a no go. that would have been pretty awesome tho if it worked.
  20. there should only be 1 screw. open the sunglasses holder and it should be up there. then the rest of the overhead console is held onto the roof with clips. it should snap right off. there there is a plug connector for your reading lights.
  21. 98, ive done this mod already.. are you still having problems? i don tknow if i understood it all but do you have the overhead console update wire connected to the speed sensor wire? The VSS wire to splice into it white with a blue stripe. When you remove the cluster from the dash, turn the cluster over and the plug on the far right had the wire you are looking for, it's on the bottom row and the 3rd position in from the right. (doing this all from memory) as for the wires coming out of the overhead, i think there should be 5 of them. 1 ground 1 power 2 for the temp sensor and 1 for dimmer control. you have to get a stock ambient air temp sensor. check local junkyards. any 96-04 pathy LE or 97-03 Qx4 sensor will work. its located on the center support right in front of the rad. you only need 1 sensor. it should then work correctly. i got my sensor and harness connector for 3 bucks. works just fine. im sure the aftermarket sensors wont work correctly. feel free to ask any questions.
  22. thats not true. i just pulled codes last night using the old method. put the ECU in self diagnostic mode and the check engine light should start blinking. then look up the code
  23. the flashing O/D light means one of the sensors inside the transmission isnt working correctly. my O/D light flashed like 17 times or so when my VSS sensor was all messed up. have you gone wheelin lately? or through mud or water? check the connections going to the tranny wiring harness. go to autozone and get the codes read
