Hey josh...I'm getting close to getting some of these stickers...I was wondering on the pathfinders.com part if Redpath88 is going to keep the fwd address on pathfinders.net how hard it would be to change that over...the only reason I ask is I'd hate to put a decal on that points people to a location where they cant get to the forums...

PB is good...it burns the eyes though...WD works good for lubricating things and taking sticky stuff off...I mainly use PB and it helps...sometimes things just need some heat added to get them out..

manual tranny? possibly a throw out bearing...mine would groan when it was cold sometimes I would have to give her hell to get it to stop yelling but most of the time by the time I got 50 yards down the road it would go away... but that doesnt really sound like a belt slipping its more deep of a sound... if its an auto maybe the a/c compressor or idler pulley have bad bearings?

dissy cap is fool proof...only goes on 1 way...now if you got the order goofed up on the plug wires or that will cause a problem... you may also want to inspect the rotor...

Exhaust manifold bolt busted? Need a head job?
unccpathfinder replied to Xmas's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
isnt that pretty much what an ez-out is?... the issue is getting in there and accessing the bolts...I think the best opportunity is when you put a body lift on and just jack the body up a lil more to give you access through the wheel well... -
Exhaust manifold bolt busted? Need a head job?

yea you can remove them...it can be a PITA with the heads in the truck but it can be done without a rebuild...I think that would mean you would have to scrap the head or weld it shut the tap it again...helicoils are always an option -
DIXIE something off of a big american truck will be nice...or you can get some air horns...still havent gotten around to that...im shooting for the train horns...

I"ve never had problems getting seals...and I have an extra RMS plate...but I can see the parts store not being able to get that plate...but the seals/gaskets are def available
-
i've never once used distilled water its all come outta a hose pipe somewhere or another...If I drink the water I'm sure the engine can handle it but thats just me
-
remove the bracket from the horn and see if you can make it fit without that on there...then you can tweak it and make it fit... you can actually remove the mtg brkt from the wheel and from the pad...and work with them until they mate...it could be possible that someone did this and got one of the back on rotated 180 degrees? I would think they woudl have idiot proofed it but who knows...worth a shot
-
have any speakers/subs easily accessible...rub it across the magnet on the back of those...I've done that with all of my tools
-
sure its not the exhaust cooling off?
-
leave the lower radiator hose off and flush it with a hose while its running? then just remember when your filling with antifreeze that theres prob about a gallon of water in the block so you'll only need about a gallon of pure antifreeze and then just check the ratio with a tester and adjust accordingly... but there are drains on the block I've just never used them...
-
that fix it?
-
SES and check engine should be the same light...unless they started doing something new
-
I guess Jim did it some time ago...
-
I dont believe so as long as you line it up for the most part and dont ding it up too bad...i havent reinstalled one but I think thats the easiest way to do it...I"ll try to remember to check the FSM when I get home for the reinstallation instructions

put the truck in N and set the brakes and chock it...put a spade on about a 5 ft wire pull the control wire off the starter and hook this one on....bump the other end of it on the + post and if it turns over you have wiring problems in the stock wiring if it acts up you have something else...battery starter or conductivity
-
I think its 3 per bracket...2 front and 1 top...but I found on 2 different trucks that the carriage bolt cutout rusted over time and they ended up spinning...but yea it can be done that way
-
