-
yea I was completely making half doors until I had way too much @!*% to get rid of before moving to cali... I'll be in town dec 19th-21st and im trying to have the 95 dropped off in CLT so I can have some wheels to get around and see folks...I'll send you an email and see if we cant meet up or something...maybe go and hit the easy trails over by UNCC even though they built apmts on half of it... so what'd you get...i got this stupid camry...its a nice car but I really hate cars...almost bought me a chevelle the other night drunk on ebay...that would have been sweet and I would be moving back to the east coast b/c the gf would be kicking me out if I had pursued it anymore and won...

it'll take you as far as it can...then it'll run out...I figured it up sometime and its like 40 miles...and I sucessfully calced it about 2 dozen times or something and the last time i tried to push it to the cheap gas I ran out for the 1st time ever...pissed me off I was like 5 miles from work and I should have had enough to get 20 miles past...the gas light never came on...felt her studder then killed out...and instantly shut down so I didnt kill the fuel pump...I calced up the mileage and my O2 went bad and on that same tank of fuel my mileage dropped from 19 to 16 which after checking left me right where I stopped...so my advice is dont push it...b/c that light may not always worked... after that the light came on a couple of times when I got low but I didn't want to push my luck...esp after I got the gas can award at work...

aight well pretty much I moved to cali and brought the 87 and have had some issues in selling my 95 b/c it had some oil leaks along with some other things...So I was heading home one night late from work thinking of who else would like to buy it since my cousin is now back in financial trouble and cannot purchase it and I remembered you. I'll fwd the email over and if your interested we can probably work something out...over Xmas I plan to replace the oil pan gasket and valve cover gaskets b/c they are both leaking some and I may have to replace the RMS again... But hey man good work on school and gotta stay outta trouble with them there policeman's...

Speak of the devil...you get my email the other night? still working on my project...the engine in and she runs like a champ...runs rich though I need an O2 and still have some other issues to work out but really havent had a lot of time to polish out all the kinks...between graduating work and moving to cali and now working 50+ hrs per week I dont get a lot of time to work on the pathy but its getting closer month by month...eventually it will be completely trail worthy again... biggest disappointment so far was the front glass...i trucked it all the way out here to cali and put in our building and went to get it out the other day so a guy could come out and replace it and I guess the heat cracked it doh...

heh...you know its bad when you try to brake stand it and it just slips...doh I knew I shouldnt have done that after I felt it slip a couple times...good luck its a fun job...esp by yourself

aux. driving lights installation question
unccpathfinder replied to german996's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
I think it can be done with the bumper on still...figure out where you want them...make sure you have good clearance on everything drill the holes through get an extension bar and a socket (may have to put a piece of paper or something in the socket to keep the nut at the top so you can get it started on the threads...then tighten her up...run all your wires and your good...coat hangers work good for getting wires in places you cant reach...like up the inside of the fender and out by the door jamb...then I cut a little hole in the OEM boot and passed the wires in there for the switches... -
holy @!*%...thats no good (as if you didnt know)...thats what worries me about this swap I just did and some wires eventually rubbing the insulation off and having something like that happen and burn her to the ground...hope you get it squared away

college....beer...and something I love...not really sure where the idea came from but UNCC is where I went to school...I was drunk when I joined and everyone else had some sorta pathfinder in their name so there she blows...its on all of my forums I'm on car related or not so if you see it its me... I think my old full tilt name was UNCCMucker kinda like #$!&^% but for some reason they wouldnt let me pick that...maybe thats wehre pathfinder came from in place of mucker...i donno that was a while ago...

Welcome since i havent had a chance to say that yet...not a bad idea...charlottesville is a nice place...I used to make a trip up there once every christmas with the ex gf...her grandparents lived up there...I dont think you have to worry about stepping on the mods toes too bad around here...I havent been banned yet (or even warned) and i've done some pretty stupid/annoying things on here after too many coldbeers...

yea frames should be the same...I used a 93 or 94 4 bolt tranny x member on my 87 that had a 2 bolt...although the 4 bolt auto was made differently as expected but mounted in the same location
-
thats where I'm stealing the data from to make the models...did you get it red if not I can get you the data from a 95 it should be the same... no worries...i'll prob return the favor to everyone tomorrow night...GF is outta town again for the night so that 36 pack thats been sitting for 2 months is going to get killed (its only got about 24 or so left)

Hello everyone... I'm back on my venture to CAD up the WD21...I didn't get very far previously but I now have some new tools that I think will help me out along the way if I can get what I need. I saw a CAD website that you can pay like $56 for 3 models that had a WD21 on there but I dont think its worth it... I am working on the frame and think I should complete that here soon but what I really need if anyone happens to have a copy somehow are PDF's of the body in plane, mainly 1 side and possibly a top view I think the rear hatch, hood and front end can be developed fairly easily. I am not currently using Catia at work and want to keep my skills up so I'm practicing this way...

dont breath... haha no seriously I think the pathy's both the 95 and the 87 were the worst cars ever for this...I had rain vents on the 87 so I would crack a window and it would go away fairly quickly...the 95 was really bad...about it and didnt have rain vents so sometimes I'd just wait knowing they would fog and wipe them down B4 I left...

I have done this many times for quick checks and never fried anything...lost of folks say it gives you voltage/amp spikes which can reek havoc on the system but I personally havent experienced it and not saying that its right but I have seen about 4 of my mechanic buddies do a quick check that way...but I would remove the NEG cable so you dont get the pee shocked out of you if you accidentally ground yourself out... sounds like its time to call up the mythbusters and see if they can fry some electrical systems by using this method to check the alty...

reverse not working is usually the sensor on the tranny...my 87s have never worked and im almost 100% sure thats whats causing it...
-
it gets baked and becomes brittle then it gets hit sometimes with the oil filter change...I broke mine like 3 diff times its a real PITA to get that connector back on there I think they intentionally made it difficult to hook up...
-
got mine from advance autoparts...
-
yea it should have a wire that breaks out of the starter control and power wire...I think its yellow...
-
but if you adjust them too much your tires will rub the frames...not a big deal as long as you know where to stop...after putting 31's on the 87 I had to adjust the driving style for parking lot turns b/c the knobs on the mudrovers would hit the frames and I was too lazy to adjust the stops..

If I included a link in some of my ebay auctions?
-
sweeeeeet...im not crazy...thanks for maintaining my sanity...
-
I swore I replied to this post...I think someone removed it...or maybe it was another shimmy thread...i will put money on tires or wheels...i had an issue with a tire place that couldnt get it balanced and told me wheels i called bull@!*% and swapped my mud rovers over from my 87 and bam no more shaking at highway speeds...mine wouldnt shake so bad in the morning when the tires were cold but in the afternoon it'd damn near shake your teeth out... go have them spun up and see how bad out they are...mine was 12 oz out and I had replaced everything from the bearings to the spindles to the ball joints to the tie rods and none of it fixed it...changed the tires and bam it was fixed...

good advice...i can add dont drop axle on hand...it requires medical attention...
