I agree... some of the most successful rigs have 4cyl and small V6 power plants. *Sure HP has it's place, there is no doubt about it, but it takes more than the simple ability to spin a couple tires or comfortably drive 90mph down the freeway

Why shops still, or ever did, use air tools to put lug nuts on... I will never understand. Les Schwab tires had to replace a stud on my Pathy some time ago because the idiot used an impact wrench to start (and finish) the nut... he crossthreaded the damned thing. Took everything I had to loosen the stupid thing! :furious:

As with the last time this was brought up I agree too and would cheerfully make donations. Based on a quick look, it appeared to me that it would be a minimum of about $25-$35 a month for the sites hosting... this is both the main page (www.nissanpathfinders.com) and the forums (npora.ipbhost.com). Based on the amount of new members and the increased activity in recent months here I would venture to say that costs to support that have risen recently. I may be off here, but again it was just a quick look at ipbhost.com and what I "think" may be the hosting company for nissanpathfinders.com At any rate, I am in support of any help we can offer to Mr. Jim... he has done so much more for all of us here, simply by creating and maintaining the two sites that we find so valuable and has brought us all together. I am also willing to offer up any other help that may be needed/that I can.

Well lets see.. In high school I had no car, I bought my first car myself... took jobs close enough that I did not need a car. After buying said first car I found a better job that did require driving. Tranny on my Taurus went out once. I paid for the rebuild myself... engine in the Pathy? Again I bought the replacement myself... same goes for oil changes, tune up's, fuel, insurance... speeding tick.. oh wait, I'm not dumb enough to get those but you get the idea... I hope. So, parents responsibility? Not a chance my good man... not a chance!

yeah I got tired of that a while back and finally broke down and bought some for the gate... but not before I found a "decent" price on them lol

Sweet.. congrats But please post a picture of what it looks like now. This might help others decide on lift amounts and tire wheel combo's It will also give the rest of us a good visual of how much of a difference the wheels make once you get them on.

Yeah a replacement is planned for the future... just not sure when. I got this one used from a wrecking yard for $50 It looked almost brand new. I needed the ability too tow a trailer so I picked it up to serve the need until a proper one could be made.

Yep, that's what mine is like... CG, as V6 said have one made... go by trailer or local welding shops. Tell them what your needs and requirements are (tow capacity and size/placement restrictions) and they should be able to hook you up with a custom made unit. I'll agree with that... if the truck mechanically/physically cannot do it it really does not matter how good the driver is. But on the other side of the coin... a heavily modded truck is limited to it's drivers abilities. It really does take a combination of both to get where your going... and back. *Just my opinion, take it as you will*
