  1. I think I'm gunna have to lower them. Here's my issue now.....Put new bushings in the UCA's & the passengers side went together just fine, but the driver's side spindle assembly isn't rolling up to connect the ball joint to the UCA. I notice the outer half shaft boot is split. Could've the half shaft slipped out of place? I MUST get this fixed by tonight. Please Help!
  2. Just an FYI.... Bushings went bad for the UCA's on my Pathy, which has a CALMINI 3" lift. I ordered replacement bushings through Rock Auto like I always get my things now..."AWESOME & CHEAP"...they wouldn't fit the UCA. So, I had to order bushing from CALMINI. So, when thinking of a lift kit for your Pathy/Xtera/Etc. think about things like replacement parts. Not bad, but Rock Auto was cheaper. Oh well, Shiznit happens!
  3. sorry all! Don't shoot me for being a lazy A$$ right now.....I have my 3" CALMINI lift on now. The front is 18 5/8" from the ground to the lower lip of the kickpanel...The rear is 1/2" lower. I like the taller look, so is there spacers I could put for the rear, or should I just lower the front, or is that 1/2" not gunna make that big of a difference? Maybe new shocks will even it out? Thanks for all your input! Pics to come...
  4. Here's the pisser..... Get the lift done, bumpers & prerunner bar, & fender flares done & head to get an alignment. Well, I should be thankful that the guy @ the shop was honest & told me he wasn't going to do it cause he wouldn't get an accurate alignment done cause the DARN UCA bushings were shot/loose. Too much play. Wish I would've noticed that before I put them on. So, I'm ordering all new for both sides & will be replacing them. Thinking about putting some Heavy Duty Upper balls joints in while I'm doing that. Might do lower also. Depends on how ambitious I feel. Hell, I need to do a new CV boot also. Shoot me now!
  5. Okay, I loosened everything up & redid everything for the torsion bar. Lift is finished! I bed lined the front & rear bumpers. I put those back on & going to sand down the surface rust on the PreRunner Bar & bed line that. Once that is dry, put it on the bumper & add the lights. Then I'm also going to paint the grille & fender flares again & reinstall those also. Only thing I need to get done before snow flyes is get enough help to get body lift on & get new exhaust. Then I need to help the wife get an off-roader & lift it. Peace out Everybody!
  6. Yes, I was in a hurry. That's what I used this time around. Lots quicker! I'll just jack it up, unload the adjusting bolt & pop it in place, install the snap ring, & then tighten the bolt. Thanks!
  7. K, quick question with hopefully quick answers.... Just got done lifting the Pathy. Drivers side snap ring popped in just fine, but passengers side torsion bar must have to go forward just a little for snap ring to fit in correct slot. Do I have to loosen up the bolt to be able to pound the torsion bar forward, or can I just jack up the front & try pounding the torsion bar forward without undoing everything on that side? I'm feeling I'm gunna have to undo everything on that side.... Thanks for the imput!
  8. That would be awesome to have just incase for the future. What would you want for the pattern?
  9. Hoping to have another vehicle soon to drive so I can do some of this stuff to this current Pathy once the motor is shot.
  10. What I was going to do to my rotting Pathy was SAS, lift for 35's, pull motor & drop in small block 350, exo-cage, pull doors, pull interior & rhino line interior, snorkle, etc.....Get it ready for Top Truck Challenge & get the Nissan Pathfinder name out in the 4X4 world. Getting really sick of all these JEEP owners being A$$ES & thinking JEEP is the only thing out there. I'd love to own a new 4dr Wrangler, but JEEPs everywhere. Want to keep something different & show them up.
  11. Ok, quick update on my rotting Pathy..... Frame is far too gone to restore/weld-up. Took my Calmini lift off it & took the front & rear bumpers off to switch out with the ugly chrome ones I have on this Pathy. I cleaned them up & painted them with bedliner. Going to do the same with the Pre Runner light bar. Hope to finish them up today & maybe have them on the Pathy this weekend. Lift will be in a couple weeks tops! The other Pathy I'll be getting trailered to my home & parted out after I get what I want off of it. I'll keep people posted & post a pic/forum in the "For Sale" section. I'm sick about having to get rid of it, since it ran better & body/doors shut nicely & hasn't been in an accident or anything, but Oh well, "........ Happens". Some may ask, "Why wasting the time & paint on original bumpers"? Cheaper route right now. Looking for some off-road bumpers, but don't/can'tafford the expensive ones & can't find anyone close to make me some for a reasonable price. Well, time to get out in the garage & get to work. Peace out Everyone!
  12. Yes, 31X11.5X15's will fit. I have that size of Swamppers on my Lego's & they work & opperate just fine. No rubbing or anything. Ur new wheels & tires are rubbing? Check the back spacing. I have some after markets rims that make the tires rub cause of back spacing issues.
  13. Can you say "FUBR'D"? Why in the world would you run the O2 sensor across the darn engine to plug-in? You'd think it could be plugged in on the same darn side the sensor is......just my I was going to switch out the old sensor with a new one to see if my Code 33 & check engine light would go off. Guess I'll be waiting until Tues on my day off. Gives the penetrating oil a few days to soak in also.
  14. Are you just wanting to know what options there were @ that time? I didn't buy mine new in '94, but both my '94 SE's are damn near loaded. One has rear disc & the other has drum brakes. Other then that, I'm pretty sure it has every other option possible. No, neither one of mine has leather interior, which is good to me. I've had leather in previous vehicles, but don't really care for it. Looks nice & I think easier to clean & wipe down, but hot in summer & cold in winter. What else are you needing to know? Stop by a Nissan dealership & I'm sure you could get all the info your looking for about '94 Pathys.
  15. I mounted my little Cobra in the cubby underneith the radio. I then ran the coax cable up under/behind the dash, out the passengers side door up by the door hinges & behind the inner fenderwell lower corner & zip tied the cable up around the frame, out between the body & rear bumper up to the tire rack. Mounted the bracket to the flat gussets in the upper right corner of the tire rack. Worked good for me. The only thing I didn't care for was....CB in the cubby so tight, couldn't really hear the CB speaker that well.
  16. Other parts of the frame is going bad. I'd rather have a solid frame overall. Just welding & patching areas up for now, but will be almost a yearly thing. Band-aid effect. We'll see what happens & if he can find something. I think he said he was going to look down south & southwest.
  17. Alright, time for an update.....The frame on my old Pathy is rotten. I have a guy looking for a solid frame for me so we can do the body swap. While doing so, I'll throw the 3" BL on so both lifts are on. Then I can work on this Pathy I'm driving now. Keep everyone posted.
  18. Thanks for suggestions on my issue. I'll do some checking. Good luck to the others.
  19. I've got one for ya..... Knock sensor has been replaced & all the plugs, cap&rotor, wires, fuel pump, fuel filter, etc. According to the shops diagnostic machine, everything is testing good. Check Engine light is still on & I believe the "35" code still comes up on the ECU. Very low idle & sometimes wants to stall after starting it. When running the A/C, sometimes turning the corner, driveway, into a parking stall, it stalls. Does that have something to do with the A/C unit? Would my 02 sensor have anything to do with it also? I have a new one I can put on, but I've heard its a PITA to get to? Thanks for all the input everyone!
  20. I tried to click on the link & couldn't connect to the site. Is it still available?
  21. I used Simple Green & let it sit for about 10-15 minutes to soak in. Looks like it just came off the factory line.

the us army found simple green to be corrosive to aluminum after long periods of exposure... but if you rinse well you probably won't have an issue

i used pledge to clean my engine bay, looks pretty good for $4... you can use tire foam, too

  22. hey, did you spray down ur engine compartment with any cleaner beforehand?

  23. DAMN-IT! Well, when I take my Calmini lift off the other Pathy & put it on this one, I know not to get new TB's. Just get UCA's. I have the JGC springs for the rear. Now, I just need to get things done. Thanks for all the info everyone!
  24. OK all you axle gear heads.... I'm stupid when it comes to these. Just a wild hair. If I end up swapping out the engine with a SB 350, would there be enough power to turn these & would they be worth picking up? 2.5 Ton GM military front & rear axles w/transfercase & steering. 6.66 gears & two driveshafts for $500.00. Good deal or not? Thanks for all your imput!
  25. Ok, figure this one out cause I'm really confused. My nephew drove the Pathy from the storage unit to the house. Drove & rode like nothing ever was wrong. Put a new battery in it & it popped right off & everything was perfect. So, I'm wondering if it was driving rough & hopping cause of it being out in the eliments for a couple years & not driven. This last winter it was stored inside a controlled climate building. Think something like the bushings & things loosened up & better then they were? I'm still going to look things over though.
