  1. SWEET Mudfinder! Great look! That just made up my mind for me! I'm getting ready to order it today!
  2. Alright, sorry for the long delay! I hope I'm not too late! First thing is first. Make sure you have all the correct tools needed. The only one I needed to get was the hex socket for the manifold bolts. 1.Drain your radiator fluid. 2.You'll need to take all the upper intake manifold. Be sure to label all the hoses and cables where they go. 3.Removing the throttle cable and necessary brackets also. 4.Using a hex-type socket, remove the manifold bolts. 5.remove the manifold. 6.Release the locktabs in order to unfasten the fuel injector connections.....BECAREFUL not to damage the connectors. 7.Remove the fuel lines from the fuel rail....(I did not do this, you don't need too if you don't want.) 8.Remove the fuel rails by hex-type socket or allen wrench. 9.Remove fuel rails with the injectors installed. 10.Now you will have to remove the lower intake manifold. 11.The unit bolted to the top of the engine block with a cable connected is the knock sensor. 12.The connector also has a locktab. 13.Unbolt the sensor and replace. 14.Clean all the old gasket off where the new ones must go. 15.Now you are repeating the steps, but backwards. 16.If need be, You might want to replace your O-rings. I didn't because of the engine swap I will be doing in the near future. I haven't noticed any differance in the fuel consumption and horsepower. Good luck and enjoy a few beers while working on this. If you have a buddy to help, it will go alot quicker. Let me know how it goes. Travis 94 Pathy
  3. Yeah, I know Mr. Pickle...I think it is time to screw over all the other makes and models besides ours. We need to have major engineers design the top of the line stuff and only offer it for Nissan/Toy's. I was just giving you some grief about the chroming. I know it will cost ya an arm & a leg.
  4. I've burried the needle on my Pathy!I was moving pretty darn fast!
  5. Sounds ;ike Mr. Pickle has a problem with COPS! Better watch it! Having insurance helps alot, but still phone the found Jeep to the Police Department and leave it at that. You did your good sumaritan(spelling) deed for the day. It doesn't take rocket science to figure out what to do in this situation.
  6. Wouldn't that be a nice option for the newer Frontiers, Pathy's, and Titans? Small for off-roading, but still a beautiful feature to have come with the vehicle.
  7. It's a no brainer fellas! V-8's or the larger motors with a high top? Cowl hoods! Scoops! It won't take much for this except a trip to the junkyard for a spare hood and a little fabbing. Advanced Adapters (Aggressive Offroading) is who you want to get in touch with for the transfercase adapters. Good luck!
  8. Statikus! Sweat a$$ pic! What does everyone think about those front fenders on a Pathy? I think it would be KICKA$$, but I don't think there is an option for the Pathy's, unless I can find a bodyman to do the work for me.
  9. Jdub, :cool2: I like the 6th from the bottom also. What would something like that run...cost wise to fab? I guess I'm just wanting something for looks right now. In the future once I have the engine and lift done, the heavy duty boys are getting fabbed for the front and rear. For Mr. Pickles, purchase what you want and get it CHROMED! Thanks for the imput everyone!
  10. sly I've seen some Toy's and Jeeps with these, but no Pathy's. Has anyone seen any Pathy's with a Prerunner on one before and how about some pic's of some with them. I'm thinking about ordering one for now until I get a custom front & rear bumpers fabricated. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance. 94 Pathy
  11. Why would you want to change from auto hubs to manual. That means you will have to get out and change them over before blasting through/over things. They are already to go with automatic's! Just curious? I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but clsoe! Ha Ha Ha!
  12. Just an FYI...Nissan 300ZX's last year of production was in '96. I was in the middle of negociating on a '96 Convertible Twinturbo...
  13. pssd darn It! I'm pretty sure that the axle is same as stock. I told them exactlly what I needed and the exact model, year, ect. The original did the same thing. That is what I thought was bad. How hard is it to fix the bronze bushing? Guess what I'll be doing on my next weekend off.......Thanks for the info! -alcohol-
  14. Well, that isn't the problem. I tightened those up last night and only one was loose on the passengers side, but not where the problem is. I can reach up and grab the halfshaft behind the spindle and move it up and down. I'm wondering if the grease seal is missing or something that goes in the area to support and seal the shaft. I suppose I will have to disassemble the hub and double check all the parts again. I'll try to post a comparative photo of the right & left side shafts for everyone to see what I'm talking about. Thanks again for your help!
  15. I need some help here! When I purchased my Pathy, there was this cluncking sound coming from the passenger side of the vehicle. I crawled under to see what I could find out. The driver's side half-shaft was tight and I couldn't move it up and down, or there was no play with it. The passenger's side on the other hand did. I figured that the shaft was bad, so I replaced it along with all new upper and lower ball joints on both sides. For those guys/gals out there that have replaced these before, you must disassemble the hub. I tore down the hub piece by piece. Laid them down in order so I knew which one went on next when reassembling. I can still move the shaft and it still cluncks when driving over bumps and turns. I've basically given up and said :furious: "F-it", but I know I must get it fixed. Any suggestions? I'm pretty sure that all the pieces to the hub assembly are there. Should I tear it down again or is there something I'm missing? Thanks ahead of time for all the help! Travis (94 Pathy)
  16. JKOPP, Yes run your ecu codes first. Try pulling your fuel pump fuse with the engine running...This will release fuel pressure. Put fuse back in and check all hoses. Double check the gaps on the plugs, fuel filters are very cheap, might want to replace with new one to be on the safe side. Cracked or loose hoses will play hops with your power. As for your fuel pump, you will have to remove(drop) your fuel tank. Your fuel pump is inside your fuel tank. It's not difficult to remove and replace. Good luck!
  17. Chris, Yes your pathy has a knock sensor! It is directlly below your manifold. Dead center towrds the back...You'll have to take the lower manifold off to get to it. It's not hard! If you want some pic's and some info, I'll email them to ya. I replaced mine on my '94 Pathy. I've helped out a few others on this. I really need to try to do a write up and place it on the forum for others. Need anything let me know. Travis
  18. My '94 was doing the same thing. I replaced all the obvious parts you could think of. Not happening! I ran codes and found out it was the knock sensor. It is located under the lower intake manifold deadcenter of the back of the block. It's really not that hard to do if you turn wrenches. Just remember to label where things go, so it is a lot easier to put back together. That is my recommendation. Good luck!
