  1. Not like mine is even close to what you have Jim, but there are a few of us that could happen too. I'm actually surprised to come home to mine still here. I'm the only lifted Pathy in the Des Moines, IA metro area, maybe even in Iowa now. I do get a lot of looks. Neighborhood watch works wonders. Years ago, we had someone breaking into garages & stealing tools, personal belongings, & even sat and smoked cig's and left ashes in many of the neighbors MINT conditioned muscle cars. Many of us took turns with shifts watching. Finally after a week, we caught the SOB & beat the living @!*% out of him & then called the police. Set up a few people and make sure they have a permit to carry. Pop a cap in his ass or beat them until they can't walk.
  2. it's a '94 with 245,000 miles. I know the timing belt hasn't been replaced or an issue for the last few years. I could see the exhaust issue... My honest opinion now on Pace Setter headers....JUNK! I cleaned them really good, painted them with the highest temp paint there is, wrapped them & they look like they are about to rust out. Installed them little over two years ago. Loved the sound & power at first. I'll see if I can get the timing checked. Was going to call a buddy that has a shop & have him look everything over. Might even have him do the tranny swap out of my parts Pathy. New tranny sitting in it. Thanks for your input.
  3. Hey everyone, just throwing this one out there....I'll probably end up taking the Pathy to a shop & have it looked over, but here we go... Drove it home a few weeks ago. Once again, sluggish and stalling. Hard to start & keep running. Pump the gas pedal for fuel, & bogged down when applying gas. Finally got it home. So, did a little research on the site. Checked the MAF, coolant sensor and the sensor next to it. Fuel filter is good. Have had plugs, cap, rotar, distributor, fuel pump, plugs, wires replaced. I started it up after cleaning and looking over the sensors. Got it running and idling fine. I suddenly heard a crackling/popping sound come from the header area....not too sure? Sounds like an electrical connection sparking. I didn't see any sparking, but don't want to take the chance of an electrical fire or something on that order. Any thoughts & ideas would be appreciated. Gives me something to look at and also let the garage know. I'm about at wits end with this & the wife isn't happy with me putting more money into it. Thanks again for your input.
  4. My Pathy was doing the same thing a few weeks ago. Crept it home and has been parked ever since. I REALLY don't want to get rid of it. LOVE IT! Can't afford the nickel & diming. Actually looking into a 2009 Titan. This way, I can keep Pathy for extra vehicle/off-road toy. Then I'll have something to pull the Pathy places for off-roading also.
  5. I will have to get in touch with the two of ya once we start coming out to the area more. Wouls like to off-road with some locals & members. Snap some pics once you get the Pathy lifted. Good luck with it.
  6. Made our way to Silverton & Durango. Small, but neat towns. Getting ready to take the family out in the wife's Xterra & do some off-roading. Nothing extreme since it's stock. Planning on coming back in a couple years for more extreme trails. Either bring the Pathy, if I still have it, or something else. Maybe get the X lifted & ready to do something.
  7. Spending the week in Pagosa Springs, CO. did some white water rafting yesterday with the family. heading out for JEEP tours off-road around 4pm. Really wish my Pathy was running better to where we could've drove that out & hit some trails. Would've tried hooking up with some local members to go out together. Might find some light trails for the wife's Xterra. Would do more if it was lifted for clearance. Lovin' the area. Peace All
  8. I bought CALMINI kit years ago. Had it on my parts Pathy. Now on my everyday driver. Haven't had any issues what so ever. If I could do it over again, I'd probably go another route/brand to save a little money, but looks so much beefier then the AC kit. UCA's that is...
  9. I can't wait to do a decent trail run. Like water crossings & some mud. Haven't done rocks yet. I have burried my hood in a DEEP water hole that I didn't realize it was that deep. Pulled right out & impressed a few JEEP owners. Will be doing more once I get a truck to trailer the Pathy to better off-road parks. Iowa has nothing. Suppose to be getting a very nice park in Ft. Dodge, IA. Can't wait. Will keep everyone posted once it gets to where larger vehicles can drive through.
  10. Hey all, Wife & I are wanting to take our boys to Mt. Rushmore this June. Curious to know if anyone out in that area knows or some reasonable priced cabins close to that area? Looking for a 2bedroom, kitchenette, & bathroom. Been looking on line, but thought I'd check with some of you that are in that area.. Thanks for the info. What about some off-road trails in the area also? No, won't be driving the Pathy out. Driving the wife's Xterra. Thanks again!
  11. AWESOME! I just got done dealing with the exact thing. Pisses me off. Guess I'll be busy this weekend looking things over. I really want/need to hook up ancold air tube & filter. The original hose is messed up from doing the body lift. I didn't move the bracket & the air box at all.
  12. I have a faint smell like that also. I think it's from having my exhaust ending under the rear seats & I have a tear in my transfercase shifter leather boot. I think the smell is lingering in that way. I'm sure the Pacesetter headers I installed aren't sealed 100% like they should, but preatty darn close. Isn't there a sealant out there where you can run a bead around the headers/manifolds and the heat will help seal the sealant into the groves that aren't sealed by the gasket? Maybe I'm smokin' something?
  13. k, fyi, nissan dealership has a complete kit for the license plate lights for $35.00. Guess I'll be ordering one tomorrow.

  15. I"ll have to do some checking. Yeah, he was pacing my speed & pulled me over for going faster then what I thought I was doing. Speed limit was 35 & I was between 35-40...pushing about 37-38. He asked if I knew how fast I was going & told him....I didn't realize that the bigger tires you go with, the faster you'll be going.....I figured the larger the tire, the slower you would be going. NOPE. I'll have to look for a universal adapter.....
  16. Alright all, got pulled over the other night for not having license plate lights. I bought new bulbs & no lights. Did some checking & the connectors were bad. Where could someone find the small adapters/extensions that plug into the wiring harness & then the bulbs pop into this? I've already looked on Rock auto & JcWhitney. Really don't want to pay dealership price. Thanks all!
  17. Stabworthy, that rusted out frame pic looked just like my now parts apathy. Yes, mine was that bad. That's why its a parts apathy now. Iuusually take the power washer and blow my frame out every time I wash it. Spring time might be a good time to shoot something inside to help.
  18. I've heard somewhere down the road that once your fuel light comes on, you have about 30-35 miles until you run out.
  19. Parts Pathy I got 21 in the mountains, but most of the time was 15-17. Current Pathy I'm around 12-14. That is 3+3 on 35's.
  20. I'll look @ my new tank sitting in the Parts Pathy. It's in the box it was shipped to me in from the shop.
  21. Once they straightened the bumper, the fender popped back in place. I was really surprised. Theonly issue I'm having isthe turn signal isn't working. Out of everything done & free, I can't complain. I'll get it fixed. If not, hope I don't get a ticket & can get some bumpers welded up & redo the wiring for the turn signals then.... REALLY interested in getting a Titan....then I won't have to worry so much about the little things with the Pathy..It can be a spare vehicle or just my off roader....

Ok, Here it is....I put new half shalfs, upper lower ball joints, inner & outter tie rods, & new shocks up front on bot sides....Took it to Tires Plus to get it alligned & have brakes checked.... They drove it into the wheel balancer. Broke out the drivers head light, side turn signal, buckled the fender, & bent up the bumper. They are willing to fix everything for free. Here's the thing....they will fix everything, throw in a new center link & double check the wheel bearings & replace if need be. Write everything else off, if I'll take as is.....I have the fenders from the parts Pathy I can replace them myself. Everything else is new & free....They even replaced the old master cylinder & installed a new one. Would you call it good & replace the fendersyourself? Oh yes, I did mention I did want the bumper straightened up so it's no smashed against the front.
