  1. Saturday I grabbed the fire extinguisher out of the rear of the Pathy & put the fire out roaring out of the front passengers side. Fuel line/hose got melted by the header & fuel was gushing down onto the header. Time to get new headers, hoses, & double check the brake lines & whatever else is in the area. Can't win for losing right now.
  2. So, I'm curious to know how the headers went? Are you happy with them? Did u end up having to use a stainless steel Y-pipe also? I need new headers also, & thinking about purchasing some of those OBX headers. Need to get this done before I do anything else & possibly sell the Pathy.
  3. Why all of a sudden can't I reply to other forums? Have had a few questions for other members & was going to add to my forums. Kinda irritating.
  4. Very impressive! Awesome work. Love the two tone color combo. Haven't seen anything like that around here or while traveling. Great ideas for others. I might try that light bar/brackets you've done. Thanks for sharing photos.
  5. SWEET! Thanks for the heads up with the body lift. Didn't think about that at all. Will work on it tomorrow hopefully. Thanks again Adamzan.
  6. I want to get this fixed ASAP so I can drive my baby. Don't want to take the chance of the condenser seizing up since there isn't any free-on in the lines.
  7. So, I went to recharge the refrigerant & started to leak out of the foam area on the ac line that is right by the master cylinder. Thinking Tires Plus screwed something up, cause it's never leaked before. So, that being said, No pressure in the lines, so I was going to take the Lower pressure line off the parts Pathy & put on this one. Does anyone know where the pressure release valve is on the lines so I can take the pressure out of the parts Pathy? Would this be wise? Can I swap them out? I see no reason why I couldn't... Thanks in advance for your input.
  8. My honest opinion of doing a 350 or 302 v8 swap.....cut all the crap out & run the vehicle like an old school muscle car. No power windows, locks, A/C, etc. Remember, it's a wheeling rig. All you need is the engine, tranny, steering, suspension, tires, and a seat for your ass. That's what I'm planning on doing when the time comes. Doors off & possibly even the tailgate. Install roll cage & drive it like you built it to be driven/off-roaded.
  9. I like the ideas for the tow hooks & also those on the rear. Yes, not suppose to use factory tow hooks for off-road tows. They are only met for shipping/hauling purposes. Tie down hooks they are.
  10. I 2nd Simple Green. I had the engine & engine compartment looking like it rolled off the assembly line. I wish I would've taken before & after pics for proof.
  11. Mine is leaking. Thinking about checking the valve cover gaskets first. They don't look like they are leaking....that leads me to the pan leaking. Not liking the options of replacing the damn seals. Can't get enough out of it if it blows up or catches fire. DAMN! Guess there is no other options.
  12. I have a question for ya V8Path.... can I drive my Pathy up to you & have you do the same for me? Give me the list & I'll get the stuff together & there you be....Just kidding. Want to do that sooooo bad though.
  13. I'm leaking some oil. Was planning on dropping the pan. Now you are making me think twice & just deal with the leak. What about just removing the cross member & dropping it? Hell, I might as well just yank the whole damn motor out & replace with a small block 350 :-)
  14. HUGE turn-on! Females knowing their way around vehicles. Doubt you would've had to have a shirt like that on to get some help;-) Did you ever figure out the issue? If not, let me talk to a buddy of mine that owns a shop & has been a mechanic for many years.
  15. What's the PITA is getting locked in your Pathy cause the locks are messed....electrical wise. I've had to sit & hit the unlock button like 10-15 time until it will unlock the doors. I kinda laughed one time when it was just the passengers side.....told the wife she wasn't allowed to leave the vehicle. LMAO! She didn't find that very humorous.
  16. The best set of winter tires I've owned were some Kuhmo's. I believe they were the Venture MT's. No longer are made. You might be able to find some left over from previous inventories. LOVED them! I'm thinking about trying the Tread Wright's with crushed walnut sheels & crushed glass in the tread. Suppose to be awesome on snow & ice. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP.
  17. Nice trim job. I need to do that too mine also. Would like to trim it right & still be able to roll a lip so it doesn't have the chance to cut/slice a tire or anything. Would like to be able to put flares back on afterwards.
  18. Yeah, I've had mine running 90 while letting my road rage get the best of me & pulled a jack-ass over on the side of the road at that speed. Yep, I was a road rage ass years ago. Not worth it anymore.
  19. I had issues like that with both my Pathy's. Replaced O2 sensor and ran like a charm. YES, ROCKAUTO is a pocket saver. I get ALL my parts through them if I can & wait time isn't long at all. I've had it say 5-7 days & had it with-in 2-3 days. Good luck!
  20. I'm still planning on taking it to my buddy's shop & have him look everything over. Want to make sure I'm not having to put a bunch of money into it soon. Wanting to get a Titan & then have Pathy for off-roading/spare vehicle only.
  21. Distributor, cap, rotor, wires, & plugs were all replaced at the same time. About two-three years ago. Everything looks good. Timing belt even looks good. Well, think I found the issue....loose alternator. I was checking the belts & the alternator belt had LOTS of give/play, so I loosened the alternator bolts & tightened everything. Seems to be running lots better. Keeping my fingers crossed. Going to drive it to work this weekend & see how it does. There wasn't any crackling or popping either. If this works, I've learned something new about what all the alternator can effect.
  22. Once my Pathy is strictly for off-roading, yes, the doors r coming off. Might try & have some tube doors like JEEP's have. Thinking about taking rear tailgate off also, but keeping the tire carrier on. Looks tight.
  23. Was shocked when I saw the pic of the Pathy in Fremont. I was ready to hop in the vehicle and take a drive. It would've been worth the 200+ mile drive.
  24. I wish I was in the area when you do find everything...I'd be right by your side beating the living @!*% out of them. You don't mess with another mans stuff. At least in my family. I have too many connections around the area.
