  1. Well, as of right now, I checked the codes again & it's giving me 55, which is nothing wrong.....We'll see how things go in the morning.
  2. Ok, the F'ing check engine light came back on half-way to work this morning. The code is coming back. Back to the drawing board. I'll fill everyone in once I get it figured out. Perfect timing before the holidays.
  3. GOOOOOOO BIG RED, Go BIG RED! That goes out to all you Nebraska Cornhusker fans.
  4. Code has cleared & Pathy running alot better. That's what the problem was. Sorry, I've been sooo use to having the Code 33 for the last few years, that it must've been stuck in my head. Code 35 Exhaust gas temp sensor is what was wrong & I replaced. It screws in under the EGR & plugs into another plug that runs the back of the engine into something? Sorry for the confusion.
  5. I've already replaced my O2 sensor when I redid my whole exhaust from the headers on back. We'll see what happens. My buddy was saying he had to run very little steaming hot water through the system/engine to break the carbon up & out. I'd think something a little better for the engine would be a better way, but he's had great success doing it. I figured using injector cleaners & what have ya would clean the carbon out? Just an FYI.
  6. Just an FYI for those out there that aren't too familiar with diagnosing problems. I've been getting a Code 33, whitch is the EGR Temp Sensor. I took 1 out & replaced with the one in my other parts Pathy. Ran fine for a few days, & then it was coding 33 again. Just ordered a new sensor. If this doesn't work & it codes again, a buddy of mine that is a mechanic & works on alot of Nissans, said it could be carbon build up in the EGR tube. The copper looking tube. I'll keep everyone posted on this topic & let you know if I have to do what he's done before to clean out the carbon. VERY RISKY, so don't just go out & try it if you don't know what you are doing.....
  7. Well, it was simple & worked for a few days & now back to the Code 33. I'm wondering if I should get a new one, or if it's the plug that plugs into the back of the sensor & runs down the back to something? Hmmmmmmm...I'll have to see if I can find a sensor for cheap & try that before I get into the other plug.
  8. Damn I love those older Pathy's! Like the 2dr's with the little side windows.
  9. Can't wait to see that when you're done. The flanges aren't on yet. I was wanting to have them welded to the headers & also the Y-pipe & then put a gasket in between. I purchased 4 flanges from Rock Auto. If I had a welder & knew how to weld really good, I'd try it myself.
  10. So, I'm wanting to have some flanges welded to the headers & the Y-pipe so I can tare the exhaust apart if needed for tranny work & things..... Would you take to an exhaust shop, or someone that knows how to weld & does things like that? I'm tired of the clamps not holding & having to put exhaust putting over the gaps to quiet the exhaust. On a very tight buget now since we bought a house & trying to get things paid off. Also, I've been told to take the headers off to get the flanges welded on correctly & alsos been told to keep the headers on the engine....which is best? Thanks a million for all the info!
  11. yep, just like my wife tells me......I'm a retard. I found the sensor & it was loose, so I tightened it up & ran codes again & fine now.
  12. I've replaced the EGR control valve. Not too sure on where the actual sensor is.....I'm gunna go back out & do some more looking. Tired of the Check Engine light coming & staying on. Wasn't on before. Anyone have/had this issue & know where the sensor is? Thanks for your help!
  13. So, I'm thinking about getting some 33's. I can get 4 Crager Soft 8 rims for $150/OBO. I just need to find out what the BS is. Thinking about getting 33" General Grabber MT's....3 good ones for $250. Gunna see what they have for a 4th & maybe a 5th for a spare. Just curious if I should spend that money for USED tires.....
  14. Balln, Ur a bastard! Just kidding, I'm just jealous of your toy! I've been wanting to do up a Pathy for years. I saw a Pathy body @ a hobby shop anout 10 yrs ago, but didn't have the money to get the RC. Maybe some day. Looks SWEET!
  15. those are the same wheels I'm running. Not too bad. Nothing to write home about. I'm looking into getting some black steel wheels or something like so...
  16. Okay, not the collectors, but the exhaust flanges. I have them ordered & should have them in a few days. FINALLY get the darn exhaust finished. Now I need to figure out how to drill holes vertically through the frame so I canrun a bolt through top to bottom to bolt my hitch up. Don't feel like paying someone to do the work &/or have it welded on. Frame is just a bit crunched from an accident, so the factory holes don't line up. Need to get that done in a week or two before we move. Need to hook a trailer up to the Pathy.
  17. I'm laughing my ass off just reading this! Yes, I did take the C clip off. I do understand about stupid times like that. Been there done it, but not this time. Gunna try again tomorrow with having tomorrow off. Want t otry & get those on the Pathy & get the new shocks on. We'll see.... Thanks for all the info everyone.
  18. Frame holding the Pathy up. The front torsion bar is out of the bracket attatched to the lower control arm. I have an extra jack stand holding the front of the torsion bar up so it's not hanging. Releaves pressure on the splines in the rear adjuster bracket. I guess I'll just beat the piss out of it & hope I dont damage it. Wanted to get those on & the new Pro Comp 3000 series shocks, & then get it realligned again.
  19. I tried heating it up, but might not have been long enough. I have the front end sitting up on a jack stand. U'd think as hard as I've bangged on it, it would give some what.
  20. So, the reason I've started this thread is because I'm stumped right now on how to get my CALMINI torsion bars out of the Parts Pathy. I've taken a socket extension & a ballpeen hammer, air hammer, & have even tried hammering on the adjuster bracket to break the torsion bars loose or even out of the adjuster, but nothing. Yes, I've soaked the hell out of them with PB Blaster. I'm lost!
  21. Thanks Tungsten. I also finally found an old thread of mine talking about the measurements of things also. Now, I need to find somewhere that sells them for not soooo much. I might actually try welding them myself. Bro-in-law has some gas tanks that he's letting me keep & use for welding.
  22. I'm soooo sorry to bothering people with this stupid question that I think I already know the answer too.... So, I'm wanting to finish the exhaust & be done. I want to have, I believe, the "Collectors" welded onto the headers & the Y-pipe so I can bolt & unbolt when needed. If I recall, someone please correct me if you haven't put your Pacesetter's on yet, measurements please, the tubing diameter is 1 1/2" & collector diameter is 2"? So, I'm looking to purchase 2" collectors to have welded onto the headers & Y-pipe? Yes, I know I'll need to get gaskets/groumets for sealing in between. Thanks a million for your info & again, sorry if I have answered my own question. Been looking & haven't seen anything with measurements/diameters.
  23. Gotter done Billy! I went ahead & put the original torsion bars on again, until I can get the CALMINI torsion bars out of the adjuster that you have the rear adjusting bolt going through. Hammer on one to pop out & nothing. HOLY COW! Soaking them now with PB Blaster. Try in a few days. Might try & heat them up & let cool down & then try it again. Thanks again for all the info & help everyone! Hope all had a good Memorial Day weekend.
  24. Ok, the splines on the lower control arm sleeve that the torsion bar slips into are stripped. So, do I buy new, expensive or not?, or just take one off the parts pathy & put this bad one on that pathy & be done? Thinking about taking one off the parts pathy to save some money. I can always buy new ones later & replace them.....
  25. Alright, So, what shocks are people running with? I was going to order CALMINI's all around so they match the lift, but they are 3 weeks out from getting the front shocks in. I was going to go with JcWhitney & order the Rough Country Nitro 9000's, but not ment for Pathy's with 3" suspension lifts, so they are out. I'm now looking @ Bilstein 4600 series & Rancho RS9000XL's from 4x4 Parts. Not really wanting to fork out a bunch of money for shocks, but I guess I really have no choice. Just curious what others are running besides Rancho's. I have Rancho 5000's on now, but haven't really been happy with them compared to the CALMINI's. Can't really wait 3 weeks. Thanks for all your input!
