  1. I use a ......PELICAN CASE 1650 Fits underneath cover.....to stay out of sight. I also, can throw it in my Yakima Load Warrior Basket. Water & Air Tight, Lockable.
  2. See if this helps...... Nissan Nut Found at O'Reilys Auto Parts for $14.99 O'Reilly Auto
  3. Here's an R50 version of this mod. Rear Seat Hinge Mod
  4. I was curious about that.....I've been reading on how 33&35 x 12.5 would fit GREAT on an 15"x8" rim......especially on an air down situation, they'd keep there beads better than 10.5! Here are some links about running 33 or 35 x12.5" on 15"x8" rims. (although, realistically, I'd probably shy away from 35's and all the headaches that go with it.) Yota Link Jeeps Link Now, BACKSPACING is a totally different animal.....not sure if my 3.75 BS would clear struts and fenders after a SFD?

Timmons:Posted 19 February 2012 - 02:33 PM Just preference really, there were a few Jeeps running 17" rims that were a 315/70/17 (35's) I was advised by many people not to run 35's because or half shafts and bearings can't take such large tires in the front. I'm going with 33's and call it good. If i ever decide to do an SAS, then 35's or higher is very likely. I wasn't really a big fan of those 17's......I didn't think those would work out to well IMO. Good call on loosing those!
  6. I currently have 15x8 with 3.75 BS Pro Comps & 32 x 11.5 x 15 BFG MUD K2's with AC 2" lift. I don't want to have to buy new rims after my SFD if i dont have to (also, not fond of wheel spacers) but don't know if I could run 35's on these rims? 33's for that matter? I don't know who's running a 6" SFD with 15" rims?
  7. I GOT A VOTE!!!!!! Thanks! Whoever you are?
  8. Well you know the old saying, "If it's too good to be true, it probably is!"I recently purchased 2 Brand New Moog Ball Joints online for $19.10ea. I researched the part number for a MOOG ball joint and just Googled it to find the cheapest priced. This online store ( I don't want to bash, since they are giving me my money back), had the Moog logo and everything when I clicked it to purchase. Great Deal Right? What came in the mail was a plain white box with a small sticker on the end of the box that says PARTS MASTER made in China! AAAAGH! Not the familiar Blue & Yellow box that I was expecting. I immediately called to complain and am waiting for Full Refund! (Yes I returned them!). The funny thing is right after I ordered them I placed another order for some new Moog front swaybar stabilizer links. He insisted that these were REAL Moog Parts, but I canceled that order too. Any way, I learned my lesson. I'll be ordering my parts from Rock Auto next time around. Looking to buy new lower ball joints, front stabilizer links, inner & outer tierods.
  9. Well, after all this, I've decided to go with.....NONE OF THE ABOVE....... I decided to crawl underneath with a tape measure, and decide to go with a MAGNAFLOW 12280. It was the closest to the stock size. I plan to stick with single exhaust, Magnaflow Mufflers are Bi-Directional. For me, I wasn't too worried about sound, as much as not rusting off in a year. It's a stainless steel muffler. Eventually, I'd like to replace the rest of the exhaust with stainless. I purchased it from wUnderCarParts.com for $79.00 + Free Shipping. I wonder if I could have asked even lower? Most other places had it for $98.00. I clicked the name your price button, and I thought $79 was fair and they emailed me saying they've accepted my offer! Should arrive early next week, I'll post pics / video after its installed.
  10. I hope they don't end up looking like this guy's pick up!
  11. I spoke with Fleurys last night....he's a "MetalHead" (He usually come out to see me when I'm in Montreal with what ever tour I'm working on.) The top pic is just a regular moog inner tierod, which he still has on his truck & in good condition. The lower is a beefier tierod he's been working on and will hopefully be ready to sell. Check out his website!
  12. I thought it was the opposite.....the "Death Wobble" is more of an R50 thing IFS..... Which is usually fixed by replacing the Lower Control Arms. This is PINNED in the R50 section Death Wobble

  16. @ STALKER: Is that a polar bear I see in the woods?
  17. So you're suggesting going to the dealer or a Nissan on line shop ( like courtesy parts) and get rotors, shoes, hardware, etc.? Sounds more expensive than the high end stuff? Could be wrong thou.
  18. I know there are some high quality brake parts for the front disc stuff i.e. Baer, EBC, Brembo, etc. BUT, are there any higher quality brake SHOES / DRUMS for the rear? Also, when doing the rear brakes, how often do you replace the hardware back there? Only when it fails or replace all, along with the shoes?
  19. Oh, do tell.....could you go into more detail......what year Chevy van? Pictures? Video or audio clip would be nice too!
  20. What are the pros & cons of running 17" rims....I would figure you could run 33" or 35" much better with a 15" or 16" rim? I'm running a 15 x 8 w/ 3.75 BS, also currently running 32's x 11.5 x 15.....could I keep my same rims (after SFD 6") trying to run 33's ? What about 35's?
  21. So how did the Pathy do on this run??? My math sucks, what does a 265/70/17 tires / wheel? combo translate into 31" 32" 33" 35" 's?
  22. I just wanted to resurrect this thread.....I'm thinking this is why my front brakes/rotors have all of a sudden worn quickly!!! I'll definitely be doing this mod. (FYI , I'm getting EBC Drilled/Slotted Rotors & Greenstuff 7000 Pads). With all the new lifts I've been seeing by members here and SFD's I thought I'd bring this post back to relevancy. More info on LSV.....LSV And this one......starting at post #15........LSV / Break Info
  23. Looks good.....you opted for no winch? I wish I knew how to weld. More pics when you get the rest on!
