  1. Just to officially close this out, I called shockwarehouse and they sent me 2 nuts....Now I HAVE 4!
  2. Just so I know it was REALLY meant to be....I found the "Extension" for the basket on Ebay for $75.00, Normally around $115....I live in OHIO but my family lives in Maryland, thats where the Ebay store is from so I got the local pick-up to save shipping.....then come to find out the the center bar that goes across the middle was missing....so they knocked off $40.00!!!! Didn't really need that bar anyway. So $35.00 for the extension. I'm very happy with it!
  3. Just wanted to get the forums thoughts on off road lighting....Is there a big difference between the cheap lights (I've seen on eBay) vs. the real expensive (PIAA IPF KC)? Will the cheap-o's work in the REAL off road use or can they even get by on regular road use??? I scored a Yakima LoadWarrior Basket on Craigslist for $150.00 and also scored lighting brackets for $5.00 on ebay and was just curious for my options.
  4. I don't see the big deal....if somebody wants something bad enough you're gonna pay what ever you want....I think they look cool....I went to they're site....the pics are not what you pictured, yours are more triangular shaped, whats pictured is more circular....is that more of just like a stock photo or am I looking at the wrong item??? Just because I'm an american what does a 1" spacer equal to in MM??? They have them anywhere between 15mm to 50mm! I tour alot with bands and have been to Australia a bunch....definitely looking to do the same and check out what the Aussies have as far as R50 stuff!
  5. I was reading the posts on replacing the bushings on a R50 ...."Nissan Nut" explains how to replace with Poly Bushings....now my question....Does cutting the bushing in half with a ban saw replace having the bushings pressed in????
  6. Here's a couple of links I thought were pretty cool....especialy for me since I'm a Newbie..... Service Bulletin This one's pretty detailed, and thought was great.... How To Fix the Death Wobble
  7. Do you happen to know if the strut bearings from AC to fit a 96 are OEM since everyone seems to want to stay away from anything else? I'm the guy who had the Electronic Suspension...are my stock strut mounts/bearings the same (if still in good shape) when I replace them with the GR-2's
  8. I just got my KYB's today [from ShockWareHouse], unfortunately they arrived with both struts poking out the box uncompressed, one box had a "top nut" the other box did not. They appear to seem fine, visually. I can compress each strut by hand and they seem to return smoothly. Since I'm not installing these struts until I have all the pieces for my complete lift package, is it a problem that the struts are uncompressed?? Any other problems I used pay attention to? Any Missing Hardware? Should they have come with any boot covers?
  9. Not to beat a dead horse about the TJM T-15 Bumpers, but I am a newbie still, IS THAT BUMPER SPECIFIC TO ONLY ONE VEHICLE? IN OTHER WORDS, IF I WAS TO FIND A TJM T-15 BUMPER, USED OF COURSE, LISTED FOR OTHER VEHICLES. AS LONG AS ITS A TJM T-15 BUMPER, WILL IT FIT MY 96, OR DO I HAVE TO FIND A TJM T-15 BUMPER SPECIFICALLY FOR A 96-98 PATHY??? HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE? I travel alot, and thinking possibly could pick one up in Australia or Europe.
  10. That's my reasoning behind the whole "Make Over" for my vehicle. I've been told to replace the Electronic struts would cost $1000's. For that kind of money I'd rather sink that money into Standard Struts and Shocks With A COOL Lift Kit and Wheels! That's a good idea about rewiring...and using them for lights...Wouldn't have to take the dash apart at least. Right?
  11. I was looking through the AC Billstein Shocks section since I've been buying my parts one at a time instead of buying the complete kit at once, I have figured out through fourums that the Rancho "RS999010XL" shock fits my 96 Pathfinder but Rancho does not acknowlede that this is the correct strut for my vehicle, which I find strange. Just exploring my options since some people are going the Billstein Route. AC Does Not have a listing for a Rear Billstein Shock WITH 2" Lift....I only see a listing for Billsteins WITHOUT a lift. Anyone know the Series and model number if I decide to go the Billstein route???
  12. I'm coming up on 100,000 miles but have done no off roading....but yeah i still have the original suspension and on my 3rd set of tires. I tour alot so my truck sits for months at a time. I figured after 13 years she deserves a make over......I just ordered some KYB's for the front....I plan to buy the springs next then the Rear Shocks since I i have to buy rear shocks with some travel....I slowly aquiring all the parts, once i have all the pieces then I'll put them on.
  13. Yeah, Im the Original Owner, bought it back in 96...I'm just curious, since its totally stock, I just bought some KYB GR2 for the front....I plan to get the AC 2" lift next....Can I use the Stock rear shocks w/ Adj. Elec. Suspension with the AC Lift????
  14. Sorry about that....Didn't see ya there. Well that's a relief do you know if its worth keeping the Stock Rear struts with the ADJ. Electronic Suspension? Can it be used with the AC 2" Lift???
  15. Well, Since I got no response...I'm taking my chances and ordered a pair of KYB's GR-2 for the front......Paid $145.13 for the pair...FREE Shipping! Hopefully these will work, and the whole Electronic Suspension thing doesn't bite me in the ass. I looked underneath and didn't see any kind of wires coming out of the front stuts at all so hopefully all will be well. Baby Steps, Baby Steps, Baby Steps.............Next Step, AC 2" Lift...... Hey, since I haven't bought rear shocks yet....CAN I USE MY STOCK ONE's w/ The Electronic Adj. Suspension....With the 2" AC Lift???? Those definitely had electronic wires coming out of the rear shocks!!!
  16. I have a 1996 Pathfinder that came with the Electronic Suspension Package....There's a switch inside the cab for "Sport" and "Comfort". Can anyone enlighten me on this option? And How does it affect me putting a lift on this truck? I currently have a bad front passenger strut, which from my understanding is a dealer only part, Well into the $1000's rage to fix.....definitely not into that. Would much rather put that money into a kick ass lift/struts & shocks/wheels/tires combo. Can I replace all the Electronic Struts and Shocks with STANDARD ONES?????
