Even though I have done no off roading per say, I curious what many of you do, DO YOU USUALLY HAVE PASSENGERS IN YOUR VEHICLE.....If you have children, Do They Go With You??? Car Seats for Children? 5 Pt. Harnesses? I ask because I'm married and have a 4yr old, wondering if any of you take your families/friends OFF ROADING? Safety Issues I should look out for? Also, Friends of mine go off roading almost every weekend in a place called WELLSVILLE, OH. Anyone been there...been there once and its a blast lost of Buggys and Small SUV Trackers, Suzuki Samuris, jeeps, etc. I'm curious how a Pathfinder would do there?

Hey, keep me informed on how your speedsensor situation turns out, as far as replacing/fixing it, cost? price of parts? etc. Eventually, I'll get mine fixed but it just keeps falling down the list of priorities.....LIFT FIRST! Lol. I've been using my GPS as my speedometer! Its pretty accurate.

Mine are both broke....but are still in there, just flopping around....will fix when I finally install lift.

I'm willing to take a guess...... Speed Sensor Is your cruise control working???? I willing to bet its the speed sensor! I still haven't got mine fixed yet!

I'm talking about wheel spacers.....I know it will look funny without the proper wheels and tires, besides it's just more incentive to get those big 32" mudders w/ black rock crawlers!

Whats a FLOTATION 32" Tire??? Also, i know my stock wheels are 15 x 7 BS??? Can these wheels be used w/o spacers on the AC lift??? I Have a 1996 SE. Can these rims be used for general hwy use maybe? The reason I ask is that I'm still aquiring parts to complete my lift....Wheels and tires were last on the list....If i could use my stock rims at all until i get NEW WHEELS AND TIRES I'll go ahead and install the lift, but I don't want to spend any money on spacers!

So I guess that's the difference between the NX4 and the Snake Racing spacers.....The NX4 spacer sandwiches in between and the Snake Racing spacer mounts at the top???

What is the difference between the strut boot kit / bump stops between the two pictured ????? Do you have part numbers for either one?...I'm gonna replace mine with lift install. Should any of the strut rod be showing after install with the combined boot cover w/ attached bump stop, does it stay up on its own? I noticed that the other one comes in two pieces.

Those Tires Look GREAT! I ordered my springs this week from AC....Now I'm deciding what Wheel/Tire Combo I should go with. I will be getting strut spacers to level out. I just love the look of 32"! I'm going to go with some sort of Black Steelies...15" or 16" x 8"....I don't know. In any event, what would my tire sizes be if I get 15" or 16" to achieve 32"??? Can Anyone talk me out of it and go with the recommended 31"? I value everyones opinion on this forum! Thanks.

Thanks for the info, yeah, the thought crossed my mind, especially since he broke the old one coming out, i wonder if he did the same putting in? I think I might have to go the dealer route this time....so much for trying to save a buck! So would it be your best guess that the speed sensor would have broke before the gauge? I assume that the cruise control not working coincides with the same problem (Speed Sensor)?

I don't know why I didn't ask this along time ago, I guess I got distracted from all these "Lifted" Pathys.... Anyway, My check engine light came on about a year and a half ago right after my Speedometer stopped working....I had my local Autozone check the code for the engine light, and it came up as a bad "Speed Sensor" Of course its a Dealer Part Only....I had a local shop replace the speed sensor but that did not fix the problem....speedometer still does not work. All the gauges work fine. But the Cruise Control does not work either. Do I have a Bad Speedometer Gauge? Its the NON-Digital type. Unfortunately, this has affected my Odometer reading as well, stuck on 98,000 miles. Any Ideas?

Well, I just ordered my AC Springs, So next on my long list of stuff to get will be strut spacers...I like the Snake Racing ones. I understand the 35mm ones would be the closest to the ideal 1" spacers that everyones wants to achieve, but how would the 50mm ones do???? Yes, Warn Manual Hubs are on my list too! Other than that are there any other issues i need to look out for? Or should I just stick with the 35mm?

I have a stock 96 SE 4x4 with 265 70 15's but like LAXMAN 0324 said mine are alloy not steel.... I removed my running boads since and that seemed to give a little more ground clearance or at least the illusion.

I AGREE TOTALLY, My lift will not be installed until I have EVERYTHING.....including strut spacers, Black Steelies and Tires! Im buying mine piece at time.....I already have GR-2's and Ranchos for the rears. I'm ordering AC Springs next and saw that they sell strut towers with bearings and was wondering if anyone else went that route or if anyone had problems????

The reason I ask is that I was under the impression I needed a Min/Max of 3.75 to 4in. back spacing with the AC lift.....I have a 1996! I don't know the backspacing of my stock 15 x 7's

I'm purchasing my AC lift springs sometime this week for my 1996 SE 4x4.....This will add to my growing list of parts I've slowly been accumulating over the past few months since I've joined NPORA. So far, I've bought Struts and Shocks (KYB-GR2's and Rancho RSX999010's). Much more to buy, But LAST on my list was going to be Wheels and Tires. I'm gonna go with some sort of "Black Steelies", have not decided yet. But my question is....Once I have the lift on, can I use my stock rims and tires for normal highway use or is it definitely out of the question?....Definitely no off road til wheels and tires are proper! I believe my stock rims are 15 x 7.....tires are 265 - 70 - 15. Or should I just wait until I buy new wheels/tires to install lift? Also, the never ending question....What wheel size/ tire combo does the forum suggest / prefer? Mud or AT Tires? Should I stick with a 15" or move up to a 16"?

Which Company Did You Use? Where'd you get em?

Are there any special steps when making the switch to Synthetic Oil??? Also, TC, Front and Rear Diff??? Or do you just drain out the Regular and replace with the Synthetic?

As I was filling my gas tank today, at a whopping $2.09/gal, I was wondering what kind of gas do the rest of you guys use? I've been using the cheapest as possible. Especially with the way the economy is. Should I be using a higher octane? What about additives or synthetics?
