  1. Take out the inner fender well. It is plastic, and it's held on by plastic rivet thingys that break pretty easily. You might want to pick some up at the dealer before you start. They are really cheap.
  2. Replacement manifolds cost about 50 bucks. Why bother welding?
  3. Why are you 'convinced' it is a thrown rod? From this discussion, it hardly sounds like you have the mechanical prowess to diagnos such a problem by trying to turn the car over with the starter. Did you try to crank the motor by hand? You might save yourself a bunch of money by having a mechanic examine the problem.
  4. I replaced my lower links with OEM from the dealer in a rocky driveway with minimal tools. I did have an impact wrench which helped. I did one at a time, and there were no re-alignment problems. I did the whole job in less than one hour. I did them one at a time, so that might have helped hold everything in place. I'm in FL, so rusted bolts were not an issue. If you are in a snowy climate, make sure you check out the condition of the bolts and have back-ups in case you break them.
  5. Can I get the bumper without the carrier and gas can mount? You mentioned it would not work with the under the vehicle spare mount, could it be altered to keep the spare underneath?
  6. Dean is right, mine is a T-13. I bought mine direct from TJM in Tennessee as a factory blem, but I didn't see anything wrong with it. I think they were just getting rid of old stock. The rims are from a Titan.
  7. I've got more than that wrapped up in my bumper. Pony up cheap skates.
  8. Change the water pump while you are at it.
  9. Why did you remove the intake manifold? You probably have a vacuum leak. Often an engine with a vacuum leak will idle ok, but die under acceleration. Spray carb cleaner around gasket areas while the engine is running. If the rpm changes, you have a vac leak.
  10. Sorry to see you have so much trouble. I have been watching your progress and hoping for the best. I wanted to do some performance upgrades on my VG33, so I was paying close attention to yours.
  11. Please keep us updated on the engine progress. If I had those rims, and didn't like the color, I would get them powdercoated. But, it might make more sense for you to sell those and buy something you prefer better.
  12. I called JWT a few months ago and they said the only offer ECU upgrades for 95 and earlier pathfinder.
  13. well I've been sitting on the fence about this one for months. I was hoping Black Panther would have something this summer, but I got impatient, and it cost me.
  14. It is a T-13. Sorry but they are not in production with this bumper. I got it as a closeout on the TJM website.
  15. If you didn't see this over at AC, here's my new TJM bumper.
  16. What the heck is the super AFC? Where did you get it?
  17. I know you had trouble with the cam installation, and last I remember you were hunting for a vacuum leak. Any progess? How is the performance?
  18. Yeah, if this guy didn't get the valve cover gaskets right......You might want to start thinking about if he installed something else wrong. Did he pull the heads? If so maybe the head gasket is leaking? He must have removed at least the upper intake manifold--vacuum leak? Could a vg33 run if one of the cams was off by a tooth on the timing belt? My guess if it were something mechanical due to the cam installation, would be a vacuum leak. Get the engine idling and spray carb cleaner around any gaskets the were removed on the intake.
  19. If you think it is a vacuum leak, try spraying around the suspected areas with carb cleaner while idling. If the idle speed changes, vacuum leak detected!
  20. How much longer on these bumpers? The picture you showed of the unfinished bumper looked like it had provisions for fog lights, but not turn signal indicators. Will they be available with turn signal indicators?
  21. Holy camber moly, does that greatly affect your tire wear?
  22. Your system may have a leak. They will cycle like you describe when they get low on refrigerant.
  23. The ARB doesn't have turn signal indicaters, so if you want them, you will have to figure something out for your 96-99.
  24. Hoppy makes a plug in and just about any well stocked auto parts store that sells hitches should have it or be able to get it in a day.
