  1. they might have fitment issues on left-hand-drive vehicles as the Australian models are right hand drive?
  2. No way we are going to get those here in the states legally. Well not legal for highway use that is. Our cats are a much different set up than yours. We have a six bolt flange that is practically right out of the manifold. Your headers look like they go quite a way down under the truck. What do the headers cost without installation?
  3. Mine is a 1997 with 48 state emissions and there are two cats, one on the left, and one on the right. No four cat set up on mine or any other R50 VG33 that I have seen in the junk yards.
  4. OK, I am holding up buying another bumper to see yours.
  5. My wife just backed into my pathfinder. I need a front bumper, and I'm ready to pull the trigger. How much longer? Also can you adjust it to fit an earlier R50? 96-99 have a shorter grill, the 99.5-04 sticks out a bit.
  6. The crank has a different diameter on the snout versus the Zcar. So the pulley would have to bolt up to the pathy harmonic balancer. Why do you want to switch the pulley? To underdrive the accessories? I think I would look for horsepower elsewhere.
  7. The Stillen set up is a true cold air intake, but they are no longer in production. They show up on ebay from time to time. The offroad guys don't like the low position of the filter, and I'm not real thrilled with it myself, but I've had this on for a few months with no problem. http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?showto...t=0entry93080
  8. I want one when they are ready, but I have a few questions. Will they have turn signals incorporated? Fog light? Will they fit 96-99.5, 99.5-2004, or everything? Will they have brush guards like the TJM, a single hoop like the ARB, neither like the T-17 TJM? or will the buyer have the option? Recovery points? Any chance you can do rear too? I would love a rear bumper with a class 3 incorporated, rear step to get up to the top, and side steps like in the new xterra to reach stuff on top. Oh recovery points too.
  9. Here is my 97 with OME HD in the front, and medium in rear. KYB struts and shocks, and no spacers. It looks level to me.
  10. Isn't 99.5+ the 3.5 liter motor? If it is, the headers are different.
  11. $1200 for two O2 sensors, a knock sensor, and an oil change? That is insane.
  12. This ain't a truck, it's a 2wd unibody lifted station wagon.
  13. What's an e-fan? I found it on ebay, new in the box for $130. It's not a tire smoking upgrade, but it looks cool. I'll post more impressions after a week or so. I'm also monitoring my gas mileage. Before it was 16.8-16.9 mpg.
  14. What do you guy think? Certainly not for puddle jumpers! Anyone else put one of these in? My fresh air intake sensor grommet was smaller than the hole that was drilled in the pipe. Also the kit comes with another pipe which looks like you could mount the filter under the hood rather than under the fender well. I'm thinking under the hood warm air might be worth the piece of mind. I don't go through deep puddles, but you never know.
  15. The only offroad I do is unpaved country roads. It handles those great, but that's not really offroad. Mine is a 2WD. The shocks were shot, and it was unlevel as heck, so I put the OMEs on with KYBs. I think the HD OMEs in the front really helped with setting the truck level. The tires are 30.5" diameter. There are larger sizes available, but these were a great deal. 285-65-18 BFG ATs are about 32", but they cost about 200 each. It looks like they would fit, but I'm not sure that they wouldn't rub.
  16. I have OME springs, HD in the front and medium in the rear, but I think they would fit at stock height with the tires that I have on (265-60-18).
  17. That' right. They have to be bored out, or you will have to have custom spacers made. I bored mine.
  18. If you don't know anyone with a Titan or Armada, you can search ebay, but be patient. Don't pay those used tire dealers the ton of cash they ask. Private sellers list them all the time, so wait for someone in your area. The best way is to look for Titans or Armadas in your area with bling rims and ask the owners if they want to sell their old factory rims. A guy offered to sell me a set for 200 bucks with tires.
  19. The hubs on R50s are 100 mm, the hubs on Titans are 75 mm or so. If you want to install these rims on an R50, you must have your center holes bored. If you have access to a mill, or a buddy at a machine shop, you can save a lot of money.
  20. I just took a trip to Chicago this summer with my stock (cept for OME lift) 1997 2wd XE and I always use AC. I got 20 mpg and some of the driving was city, but very little. This was averaged over 13 gas stops and 3000 miles. When I got home, I added 18" Titan rims and BFG 265-60-18s which are about 30.5" diameter. I just calculated my mileage over 5 weeks of city driving and I got 16.9 mpg. My pathfinder has 138,000 miles.
  21. I asked AC about their cam grinds a while back, and they implied that they came up with the specs. If and when I do it, I'm going with Wolf Tech. Not worth a few bucks to me to take a chance. I don't understand why AC isn't more forthcoming on their web site about their products. Often times they do not list the manufacturer of the part.
  22. but if you are at or near TDC because you are changing the timing belt, wouldn't you want to choose a cylinder that is at the beginning of its compression stroke rather than at the end such as #1 would be at TDC. I've never tried this rag method, but if you do it at TDC in #1, seems you would have to crank a full rotation before you could stop the crank from turning.
