Yep, reason being that the body can trap the exhaust fumes and allow them to travel into the cabin area of the vehicle. Also, if there is any sort of backfire, it could potencially cause a fire under the body (burning rubber undercoating would smell lovely don't you think?)

If I were you I would leave it 2wd, look for a long arm kit for the front and lock the rear. OR, just go straight to a SAS and not bother with an OE 4wd setup.

Does the spacer material need to be aluminum, or some sort of metal? Could a high density plastic be used? (BTW, hope you don't mind, but I shared this thread with the peeps on the NOAS foum.)

My wife drives my 93 all winter. Check the boot over the T-case shifter(the rubber one under the leather), if it is torn the smell might be wafting up through there.

It can create more problems if not done properly. I have had no trouble using the stock wiring in either of my Pathfinders. I used the connector adapters that they sell for $5-$10 and pre connected everything with soldered connections and heat shrink. Complete plug and play.

Yeah, it's not hard work, but it is a lot easier with a full lift to work with. I did my cat-back in the driveway and it came as a 1 piece unit, all prewelded so I had to fish it around the axel. Then it just bolted to the flange behind the cat, and to the stock hanger by the gas tank.

Should be able to get a high flow cat and a cat-back for less than $300. I think my Gibson cat-back was $160 or some odd from AC.

Yeah, SL/BL both make no difference with tranny type. If you want a BL kit that is ready to go for your 95 go to AC 4x4parts.com, they have the same Performance Accessories kit, but they have added in the correct bolts for the rear of your truck.

I've been told I did a 2 wheel in the air "wheel stand" once trying to bump my 93 up a stepped slope, my spotter's eyes bugged out and he started waving his hands at me. He said I had about 3-4 feet of air (which freaked my wife out as she was in the passenger seat). There are a few here with still shots and video of them getting full 4 wheel airborn, check the "Truck of the Month" winner for last month for the latest one.

I used a vinyl paint on the dash and it has lasted pretty well. However I used standard paint on the rear panels and in the cargo area they have scrapes in them (though I am rough on it and carry tools and materials in there). I had sanded and primed them, so aside from the scrapes they held the paint well. (FYI, I tried that Krylon "Fusion" first and it was complete and total crap!)

They sell the indiglo gauge covers (goes over the stock gauge face) on ebay. Or you can pull the bulbs and swap to a blue bulb.

Best to get a GPS and measure via that. On my 93 when I traded up to 31s my speedo was pretty good up to 45 then it started to go off, at 65 my speedo reads 61. However on my 88 when I swapped to 31s I found out that my speedo was dead on and had actually been off with the factory wheels/tires.

The molding work looks good, but the angle looks like the gauges will be pointed at the ceiling?

For all that, might as well look into the Icelandic ones also, they make the real wide ones. Dealing with and aranging payment and shipping from either country is a PITA. You would probably end up paying at least $1000 for flares after shipping, duties and such.
