  1. Yeah, you're story is what I was thinking of.
  2. Did you do any work with the engine that required pulling the oil pan off?
  3. There are 2 main places our trucks will leak gas (at least commonly). The first is the little hose that connects the 2 fuel rails at the front of the engine, in the cold things seam to shrink up ....and the hose becomes loose, usually just tightening the clamps will fix it if that is the leak. The second place is around the fuel sending unit, there is an O ring around where the sender goes into the tank that can fail and cause fuel to leak when the tank is full and fumes to come out otherwise. Since yours is only on cold starts check the hose on the engine.
  4. Mine is auto, no mods needed for the Pacesetters.
  5. My Pacesetters went on preatty easily, just had to adjust the angle of the EGR tube so that it threaded straight.
  6. Yeah, I saved a copy of the one Adam took there. I'd like to see the one you are talking about then.
  7. If you plan any mud or water as a regular thing, don't do a cone or cold air style system. Get a snorkle.
  8. The water pump is the one the fan is attached to (not the bottom, that is the crank).
  9. The length adjustability of them is what I'm looking for.
  10. WOW, how did I miss this? I'd be VERY interested as I have been thinking about making my own. Are you making upper and lowers? What about Panhard bars? My plan was to make replacements for all 5 links with JJs.
  11. Not only are they overpriced POSs, you also have to re-engineerd them your self.
  12. Back to rotors and to turn or not to turn: With how cheap they are, it is usually chaeper to buy new than to pay a tech an hour labor to turn your warped rotor.
  13. I thought that they only made like 6 for a test run and never put them into actual production?
  14. I bet I have a pic of it. I've been wanting to do a chop top on my 88 since I bought it so I have collected pictures of other ones to try and figure out the best way to go about it, and how to cover up the rear afterward. The problem there is you would almost need two vehicles to have enough spare metal to make the parts(and it would be HEAVY), or go completely custom ($$$). At least Ramon, you can buy a "Crew Cab" Hardbody in your country. It was never offered North of the border.
  15. Tried ? I got a couple links by typing in "Nissan transmission rebuild kit".
  16. It could be your waterpump telling you that it wants to die. They have a weep hole that will leak when they need to be replaced. I had a "mysterious loss" of coolent and could not find the leak until one day I turned the engine on and just closely examined everything until I saw the little drip from the bottom of the water pump. BTW, if it is the pump, might as well do a Timing belt job since it has to be removed to remove the pump.
  17. Yeah I cut my openings to fit and still have stock grills too.
  18. I think the 93+ all had the 5x7s front and rear. FYI, they are small 5x7s compared to most aftermarket ones.
  19. It is a custom thing, no one makes them pre-made for our trucks (at least I'm pretty sure they don't). To make a heim link you need: 1 left hand thread heim 1 right hand thread heim 1 left hand threaded tube end 1 right hand threaded tube end 1 piece of steel tube cut to length That is just to make a single link, you would need 2, one per side. Not to mention the proper bolts, spacers etc. You would also need to make a custom center link to accomodate the heim ends. What works best there is to make a single long link, ream out the idler and pitman then use a single long bolt to attach the tie rod and the center link together on each end.
  20. I've had my fuel filter cause that kind of issue, and also I had a cracked coil (plastic cover was cracked on it)that caused the engine to just die for no reason.
  21. Yeah, they carried a motor mount that would bolt right int our frames. At one point(about 6 years ago) I think Advance Adaters was looking into making a Nissan-> GM kit and vise versa, but they dropped it do to lack of interest.
  22. Checked your fuel filter lately?
