  1. Yeah, mixing oil "brands" isn't going to hurt anything, as long as you run the right weight. Heck you can mix weights even and it wouldn't hurt the engine as long as the weights are within the range that the engine can use.
  2. What a waste of good bacon!
  3. The MAF is about the same size as the throttle body, so there isn't much gain unless you swap both.
  4. My manuals only let me down once, in a tight spot had to do a bunch of short (about 3') manuvers forward and reverse, basically left me in 2wd trying to negotiate a rock pile. Never broke one, but have heard of a lot of breakage with them. Manuals are just as prone to failure from my wheeling experiances. Especially WARNs, the hardware they use tends to be to hardened and snap easilly rather than give a little. For a while there was a lot of talk about where to get better bolts for replacements, but have't heard anything lately.
  5. Wow, Nissan just can't get the tranny coolers right, STILL! What is the tranny on the 05?
  6. No questions huh? The service manager at my local dealer took a look at mine (front belt wouldn't retract), and said the were just dirty (and they aren't), ie made an excuse not to fix it.
  7. A kid named Bach did a custom coil-over setup. The mounts didn't look the greatest, but I never heard of any failures. He tore it off and went SAS pretty quickly after he made that setup, and sold it. So who knows if it was realy worth a damn or not. If you don't care if you have them sticking through the hood, mounting them off the UCA shouldn't be too hard. The issue with running them to the LCA is there is no room to fit them really.
  8. True, but they do everything possible at the dealer to avoid paying to replace one.
  9. Would be my first thought also.
  10. Yeah about the only "repair" that can be done (without stitching) is to put a backer piece of leather behind the rip and glue it together. There are som hot melt fillers that can be used to cover it, but most will peel right off of something that is flexed a lot. As for the stitching, you can take the leather off and re sew it on a machine if you have one, then re apply it to the seat.
  11. I'm just waiting for the Obama Storm Troopers to be going door to door and taking our vehicles and leaving Chinese immitation Smart cars in everyones driveway.
  12. Actually I went back an looked at the thread (on NOAS) and the poster mentioned them, but didn't post any other info.
  13. There is a guy in my club that has a custom (home made) H233b/D44 hybrid. Basically H233b center chunk and third, with the rest being D44 parts, including the inner shafts, just had them recut IIRC. Another popular axel I haven't seen mentioned (if it was I missed it) is from older Toyotas.
  14. Wild guess based on what you said the dealer did: Maybe they did something to some of the tranny wires while doing the flush?
  15. Yep, it's pull varies depending on what is needed, but it is always turning. If anything would wear quicker it would be belts, but even that is just marginally more if any.
  16. As long as your fuses are correct, nothing should get over amped.
  17. You can buy brass ones (I can lookup where if anyone is interested). but they are like $60.
  18. Yes you can, I did it once on my 93 and it needs done again . They are just plastic bushings, so they are basically made to fail. Part numbers: BAG of 12: 48544-41w00 individual: 48544-01g00
  19. I saw one on a Hardbody do that once, right side. Only the first 1/2" of splines were gone, so not sure if it slipped then stripped, or if it hadn't been fully installed.
  20. Good to hear you don't have to pay for fixing a flawed part.
  21. Most of the drivetrain actually; H233b, R200a, TX10a, hell the engine is still a VG series, just tweaked a hair from ours.
  22. You can pull one from the junk yard, but it's a gamble on how long it would last till it snaps too.
  23. Not a particular song, but Iron Maiden's Eddie comes to mind, lol.
  24. I'd get a 180, and no new housing needed.
