  1. Well, if the screw came out, the rotor might have become missaligned, but the shaft should still be in the proper place. Try a new cap and rotor on it.
  2. I use Fram or Purilator filters. "Restore" is an engine oil treatment, basically just extra addatives like silicone to attempt to help seal and lubricate the system better. To me it's nothing but snake oil.
  3. Yeah, that was my choice too.
  4. That was when mine let go too, pulling out of the driveway. I heard a pop, and then the passenger side felt kinda bouncy. Easy fix though
  5. Did you damadge the radiator at all with the tree? Might have a pinched line in the stock cooler.
  6. I saw one a while back that they put a cover out of a 96+ Pathfinder in. Wasn't off too bad, but had to do a lot of fab work for the bracketry.
  7. Look for SE and LE models, most of them have the map lights (HB trucks too).
  8. McMaster Carr might carry those also. Be sure to get the high grade bolts.
  9. As we hear a sizzling sound, and hear him scream at getting hit with 1.21gigawatts!
  10. Yes it is a light, or 2....it has individual lights and switches for either the passenger or driver's side. If you have a 4 door model the wirring is there, just need the light and the metal ring it attaches to above the headliner. I got the light in a junk yard. To install just pull the trim pieces off the headliner, visors and mirror then let the headliner hang(leave the center section with the dome light). The wire with connector should be tucked above the driver's door, just cut the tape away and feed it across the top of the windsheild. Then install the metal plate (nuts for the screws already in place in roof). Then hold up the headliner and cut it following the inside of the metal plate. Reinstall headliner, plug in light and slap it up into the hole (it spring locks into the metal plate).
  11. Both on the Pathys should be the same, if you want more go for the Quest upgrade.
  12. Something looks off there, either those are 16s or the tires are a very small 31.
  13. He said he tried that. Maybe the relay socket needs some cleaning.
  14. Yes, keeping the tranny and oil pans safe should be first priority. The stock "splash guard" at the front, though not really tough will be fine till you can upgrade.
  15. I have 2" BL and 2" SL on it (sometimes wish I had the TM 4"). Light guards are Manik, got them at a local shop. As for the lights the ones on my 93 are Hellas, not bad, but compared to the Pro Comps on my 88 I would have to say the PCs are better. They were 1/4 the price, almost as well made, and have a better beam pattern. I haven't noticed any big change in my mileage between the MTs and ATs. I had the MTs on my 93, but got a nice set of wheels with ATs for cheap so the MTs are on my 88 now. I took a trip to D.C. with the MTs and was getting 20mpg, and a couple weeks ago I took a trip to Indiana and was getting 20mpg with the ATs. Keeping the proper PSI in the tire is probably the most important part, I run at 32 psi in both sets and both are 31x10.5 tires on 15x8 wheels. As for comfort the MTs aren't so aggressive that you get the bumpy ride from the big lugs, the spacing on them is close enough that they are pretty smooth. I DD with them for 3 years, and still do when I use my 88. Steering is fine with 31s, since a lot of Pathfinders were stock with them. As for the brush guard, I tend to not like them at all anymore. I got one for my 93 when I first bought it, but got rid of it. About the only good function they have is to hold lights, but otherwise they are just another heavy piece of metal that will rust sitting on the truck .
  16. Actually the MTs will look larger, but aren't, but with 6" lift they might look small compared to the lift. I wouldn't go bigger than the 31s until you upgrade the steering though. Otherwise you will be changing steering parts every wheeling trip. My truck with 31 MTs and 4" lift: Big pic so I linked
  17. 88 needs to post that pic of his when he took it apart. Same deal, black sludge in the manifold.
  18. Get the MTs over the ATs, they get high milage for an aggressive tread and aren't as loud as most. Not to mention they will be a lot nicer on the trails for ya.
  19. It can also break rods, spin bearings and tweak crank shafts if there is too much oil.
  20. I got mine new in 2001, so they might have been an older or newer design depending. The little peg is threaded so you can make it a snug fit, and the rubber pad keeps it from scratching
  21. Here are a couple of the mount and the bumper: Full size pic Full size pic
  22. Lookup OffroadX's front LSD build on AC. He did a custom clutch pack to make it tighter. (FYI, Probably a 2-3 year old thread over there.
