  1. Just weld 2 bars with holes to match the upper holes on the stock frame mounts and legs down to the tow hook mounts, not hard at all.
  2. The frame side are the same mounts for all years, 87-95.
  3. NP, I also have about 6 used tie rods I keep for trail spares if you need any of those too ( all 90+ type large taper). I usually pull steering linkages when I find a Pathy or HB in the JY. I gave my last pre 90 one away at URE, need to restock sly .
  4. Just run a snorkle so it is plumbed into the cab in the passengers floor board, once she is tiered of the sucking sound between her legs she will gladly let you put one outside.
  5. I have a 93 stock CL sitting in my carport if you need one for a temp, it's just barely worn, but not beat on at all IIRC. Eventually it is going to L&P.
  6. Yeah, most heat and fire sheilding is a glass product now, at least since the 70s.
  7. All the custom body work and he half assed the inside I like the "idea" of the tilt front, but it's stupid. The rear looks nice, aside from the color(s)
  8. I think all you need is 31s and a locker and you can go just about anywhere. Add some slidders, skids and a good bumper if you are worried about any body damage.
  9. Probably your hatch switch, common problem, search the 90-95 forum.
  10. It's a Jeep thing, I don't wanna understand.
  11. I remember when they started putting dummy CHP cars out on the roads in San Diego. They would just park a marked car out on the Highway to try and keep people honest, because everyone slows down when they see the PoPo. That is actually a peeve of mine, people going the speed limit see a cop and decide to slam on their brakes
  12. Get a hampster and put him in a wheel for the Zuk
  13. We used to do the 2 litters with foil balls and toilet bowl cleaner (hydrochloric acid type). Fun to watch them distend before they bang
  14. We were playing with fire this weekend, found out synthetic brake fluid makes a pretty green flame, and that black powder loads make a nice little "poof" when thrown in.
  15. 90% of those "power chips" are a resistor you put on the MAF sensor wiring.
  16. If everything checks out, it is probably a bad sensor on the pinion. My sensor crapped out about 2 years ago, brakes are fine but no ABS and an annoying light.
  17. Also depends on how far you are going into a rebuild. Are you gonna overbore, or just rehone the cylinders, rehoning can be done at home. Are you replacing the pistons and rods, or just the rings (also dependant on if you overbore). One major thing you ought to have done is get the crank checked for wear at the bearings and might as well have it rechecked for balance. For the heads; Regrind the valves, get new valve seats and new seals, have the cam checked for wear on the lobes. Replace the valve springs, can probably keep the old retainers though. Something else you could do while it is fully torn down is smooth out any rough casting spots inside the block, but be carefull not to grind any spot too thin and cause a weak spot at a water jacket or oil passage. Tons more little things, all depends on what you want in the end and how far gone it is now.
  18. Never delt with a speedo cable on one of our trucks yet myself. It should have some sort of retainer in the dash, and maybe another on the firewall. As far as interchange, it should be the same (man vs auto). As for the guages, IIRC there is a voltage regulator for the cluster on the back of the housing somewhere, a little black or silver box, that could be your problem.
  19. I actually have a HF set of snap-ring pliers, the larger size ones are OK, but the tiny sized ones are crap. Busted a prong off one. I paid like $3 for a set of 5, and for all the times I have used them, it's been a good deal.
  20. The guy I used to work with had an older model of this one: Pro Tools Bender . He had the hydro asist which was slow, but much easier on the muscles.
  21. Have a shop do all the mill work and do the assembly yourself.
  22. Cheapest black one I could find, AutoZone $35
  23. I gutted mine, removed the rear seats, added a cover to extend the rear floor and bedlined the entire floor. Pic too big to post
  24. Why do you want to switch to hubs?
