Slick
Hmmmmm..... did anyone else get this email? sambone1321 Nissan wants you in a video l!!! (I Promise this is NOT SPAM) Hi there, I'm writing from TBWA\Chiat\Day Advertising in Los Angeles. We are doing a video for our client Nissan, and their Pathfinder model. The video is all about Pathfinders from all years, and we saw your posting on YouTube. We would like to use your video (FILL IN THE URL HERE) for our video. It will be edited into a montage of lots of Pathfinder videos and shown at the Nissan headquarters in Nashville, and perhaps later on the web. I assure you this is NOT SPAM and this is NOT FAKE...if that's what you are thinking. You can Google my company TBWA\Chiat\Day to see that this is definitely an advertising company. If you are interested please give me you email address ASAP so I can give you more details and send you a release to sign as soon as you can. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me. Thanks again...and HURRY...let's get your love of your Pathfinder in this historic piece. RedPath88
I wasn't bichin at anyone, just my way of makign a note of it. Some people would PM a mod, I complain in PoHo (and generally see results rather quickly ) mid-week Monday! I Know Hmmmmm..... did anyone else get this email? Company does exist, address matches directory listings, Nissan is a client, the group she claims to be from exists in the company, but I could not find that lady's name attached to any results. But her listed numbers do fall within a reasdonable grouping of likely numbers for that office (LA branch) Look them up using an online directory and call the front desk, ask to speak to her. Then you should know is she is real or not.
Pezzy
CHIAT Day is definitely Nissan's Marketing company - I worked with them at my last job.

Then you should know is she is real or not. yeah, I was skeptical and called... here is the latest. I just scanned and emailed back the waiver... I also suggested she come to NPORA to find Pathys Thanks for taking an interest in this project. Basically, the idea of this campaign is to show lots of footage of Nissan Pathfinders by using consumer videos that are posted on YouTube. Attached you will find a release which is pretty much giving us permission to use your video for our ad campaign. Please read it over and sign as soon as possible. If all looks good and you have signed the release you can either just scan it and email it back to me or fax it over to the fax number below (no need for a cover letter, it will come straight to my inbox). The fastest way the better if you don’t mind…time is of the essence and I would love to include your video in this segment. It is possible that you will be able to receive a copy of this final product, however we are not quite sure if it will be possible yet. Please be sure to include both pages in return and please be sure to call me if you have any further questions. Thanks again! TheCrow
I got the same message as Slick in the first post and was contacted by another one from the same company . All contacts seem to be geniuin and I think it would be no harm if they use some footage of my Pathy . The same Sam Bishop as mentioned in slick's post has sent me a video footage release to be singed so they can use my you tube videos . I think we can all contribute and may ask them to have a Special thanks to NPORA at the end of their intended video release for Nissan , what do you say ? Zibi
Pretty cool, but I'm surprised at the lack of professionalism employed by the lady. Stupid marketers, you would think they would know better than to use a multitude of exclamation points and write it as though it is an email to their friend if they want to convince people of its genuineness. morpheus
I hate to be the voice on the other side, but how does that saying go... If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. In this day and age, with all the scams, etc.. going on, I hope this is all legit, not something that will come back to bite people in the bum.
