  1. Are your wheels just knockoffs of taos 77s?(red pathy) And I didnt see any one state this but all nissan truck wheels have 6 on 5.5 inch bolt patterns and use 12x1.25mm lugs which is the same as the chevy full size1/2ton trucks and suv/suts(not 3/4-1 tons cause they have 8) The only diffrences is that there lugs are14x1.50mm or 7/16 lugs So if you see any wheels on a chevy(69-04)full size that are for sale or in a junk yard...then they'll fit.
  2. 189179 and going, hope to hit 200k before the end of the year
  3. That blows old goats...Sorry to hear that.Hope every thing works out for the better.
  4. Ok so I'm a wd21 guy but I was reading a old issue of moter trend(jan 99) and I found a slick looking pathy. Its a copper color with blacked out grill and bumpers and some cool brushed alunium wheels. The truck was a Stillen performance products test truck. In this form it had the then new stillen power package on it.Which consisted off a 3 inch exhaust, headers, and a chrome cold air intake. All this cost 1163 bucks in 1999 and added 25 hp and 18 lbs of torqe to the stock 168hp/196 lbs of the stock power.Just wondering if any one has this product.
  5. Well since you already replaced/checked every thing I could think of I'll go out on a limb and say maybe the computer in the truck itself is going bad.
  6. Really...I dont believe there can fine you for not having a cat since your truck is more then 15 years old. MN has a law that any car less then 15 years old needs a cat and after that its a free for all.I dont thinks a 3.0 can be louder then a 454 with straight pipes but then again I dont live in the citys. It sound to me like there more watching you cause you have a lift and mud tires on it then how loud it is.There trying to get you to stop driving it because they dont like lifted trucks or there scared that it is dangerus to other cars if you get into a accident or they dont like subs (if you have them) and are trying to mess with you.
  7. I think if you use a open end you can get the bolts out ok and then slide the pan across. The exhaust pipe shouldnt be in the way but the heat sheild will be thats on the pipe. Yes I have been using the lucas atf adative since I came back from gilbert ORVP since the dip came out and shot atf all over the place causing the tranny to go into limp home mode.It went from slipping at 4500 up to nice smooth shifts and it stoped slipping. It is worth the money and I would use it. It is a quility product and Lucas has been a Great company for years.
  8. You have rust in the same places I had. I had the passager side repared except the rear most(whart you have pictured) and it has held up nicely. The front shot (of what I think is the drivers side) is still rotten on mine since I have not had the time to replace it. And the 55 top speed...are you sure its not stuck in 4hi and thats why its hard to shift?
  9. My truck has the same ground I will look tommaro to see if its vital. And I wish my frame looked like that.
  10. Do you place card board in front of it or let the engine warm up good. I let my engine warm up and place a piece of card board(not for coldness but incase a car throws a chunk of ice up at the rad. I believe you on the cooler but I have seen 2 pathfinders and a hardbody burn up there tranny because of this. Two of them where the same night(-35+wind chill) and one of the coolers had exspanded and cracked, the other had siply pluged with fliud. The other case was a 93 model that had happen during the day and I believe that was the reason the tranny burned up...but the guy that it happened to had said he didnt let it warm up after sitting for two weeks. I'm sure its not a major problem with most owners or there would probly be something on this sit about it but it still has been known to happen.
  11. One word of advice. If you live in a cold climate like I do...do not install a aftermarket tranny cooler since the fluid will thicken up and cause the tranny to burn up since the factory cooler was placed in the rad to heat the fluid on extremly cold days.I have not seen a good tranny in a junk yard in my area with a after market cooler because of this. But then again most of those coolers where placed on the front of the rad.I dont no if they can be placed any place esle then this but it seems like a really bad idea.Having Ice cold air blow on to a cooler that is working to cool the Atf fluid. If you decide to install the cooler any way I would at least put a piece of card board in front of it in the winter months. Also since you get a lot of snow in your area then why not get a small plow(plows for RTV's work nicly since there not as heavy as others) I am having one made with out the hydros so it mounts to a receiver style hitch on the front. Also since your in wastington where I dont think they salt the roads in winter then I dought you will have any frame rust issues unless the truck came from a diffrent area. And yes the pathy will work really well in snow.I live in MN and we get our fair sare of the stuff and I rarely ever have to ingauge Four wheel drive even when theres a foot+ on the roads. Also bewarned that even if the manuel says its shift on the fly 4 wheel drive I have tryed this and it will only produce loud noises and reduce T-case life. Also since the prevics owner did not keep records I would change the t-case/diff(rear at least) and tranny fluid and filter. And Dex 3 is fine for the tranny you dont have to go out and get the nissan factory stuff. And if you have a LSD you are made for the winter since this works awsome in the snow for traction. And I have gotten 23 mpg before and my truck has the 4.60 rear diff gears. My last outing I got 22 mpg going 65mph with a 5w-20 oil and I had about 300 hundred pounds of stuff in the back,I had taken my K&N filter out and installed a newer(still for the same truck) Fram air filter so 20+ mpg can be done. Have fun with your truck, treat it right and it will last a long time.
  12. I thought the 94-95 pathys had the tranny cooler problem solved by the factory.Since the 94-95 rads are not the same as earlyer models?
  13. Chevy SSR cup holders are kick ass...the fold up in to nothing so you can mount them on your auto tranny tunnel...a lot better then the single cup holder in side the center consel
  14. Wow I came in at the wrong time...please every one put there cloths on,hell this aint poho(wheres every thing good) OK So also about every hundred pounds you lose you gain about a tenth of a second in the 1/4 mile. Also I dont think my pathy can weigh 5k since my old k20 weighed 5200 with 37s,smitty built bumpers, roll bar, and all tanks filled(3 of them about 78 gallons i think, hell it only got 4 mpg so it needed the all the gas it could carry) and thats a big truck thats lifted. I think your thinking of the gvw which is what the truck can weigh legaly loaded.
  15. It getting jacked again... I had my blinker fluid and tire oxygen changed and it cost 350...Most people dont change there tire oxygen anuff and that is why there tires go flat...I'm doing my part in saving tires lives.
  16. Where you at you've been gone a while?

  17. I dont think mixing the same weight oils is a big deal.I has to mix super tech and napa oil once and it ran fine and didnt come out looking any diffrent then any other oil.
  18. Well going to gilbert witch is about 150 miles from my house I got 21.73 mpg going 60-65mph.I used 87 octange and a fresh(other then a little K&N oil on it) Fram air filter and 5w-20 motor craft synblend oil.I liked the mpg but I will not say that this oil is a good oil,I think it was just to thin for my engine with 187k on it.
  19. Well since the 360 doesnt really have that much after market suport compared to the none FE engines I think it would be pretty hard to push 400hp from one. That f150 sounds like its been parted out and put back together with junk.its a 79 yet ford stoped making 390s in 74-75 I think, the dana 60 in back is a good axle but a 14 bolt is just as good and you can find parts any where since chevy has been making the same basic axle for about 30 years, I dont thinks I've ever seen a hd 44 but my 76 k20 had a 44 in front and my tire range veryed from 33-37 inchs and it was a 454 putting about 280hp(going throw a th400 and 37 tsls, chassie dynoed) to the ground. Futher more a Highboy with a 460 is worth 2k since you could fit 40 inch tall tires on these monsters stock and they where built to last, not like todays trucks. And a 460 maybe a smog moter but thanks to its size it will walk over 390s all day long.
  20. Usally caused by extreme Rpms I'd check for a hose missing...causing A vacum leak...mine did this and it was a missing hose on the back of the engine. The Fuel pressure regulator hose.It plugs into the intake. It would suck if you checked the timing and it turns out to be a hose.
  21. Mine does that but I found out if you keep clicking it(not turning the key all the way off) it will start. It used to happen all the time but now only once in the while.
  22. You should of body stomped that A-hole. At my old house that was the reason my dad sold my(my moms) 76 monte(ran, little rusty but the engine was falling out,bad mounts) I miss that car but we had like six or seven in the drive way or back yard so she had to go. (the guy next to us had rabbits, piles on Crap, and junkers all over but he was the guy complaining.
