Hello my far north brother... 1 sounds like theres a bad conection. 2 didnt know they had tool boxs. 3 Could just be sticking close and opens up after a little bit of time.Turning the key one way in the rear door opens the door and the other way opens the latch(at least on my 95 it did but I'm the guy I didnt know there was a key hole back there for the first 2 years of owner ship) 5 Sounds like a brocken belt, worn tie rods or your getting flat spots on the tires. Ask the shop to check the blinker fluid while there at it...

Well I have 3 245-70/16s on mine and a 245-75/16...the 70s fit just find but the 75 is a inch bigger since my roadrunners are bald.My spair is a 235-75/15.I love'em but I wouldnt mind some 33s or even 44s so I can finally complete the leaf lake trail in gilbert but I need a new tranny first. And a leason I learned, all tires are not the same size even if they say so,goodyears are a little bigger the some others.
-
Hell my 95 does that, has always done it and will always do that.Click,click,click...grrr-vroom...brat-brat-brat... But mine has gotten better,it used to be that I would have to wait like ten minutes and turning the key the intire time, but now its 5 turns at most when it acts up.On mine its the little plunger valve thats on it will some times not retract all the way so its not engaging the starter...

-
Could it be your shlyanod...(cant spell it) my camaro did it twice and it turned out to be a bad silanod...just a click, and after it sits for a bit it will start...but only once and it will die as your driving down the road and refused to start again until you replace it.

Simple Solution To "trunk Hits Head"
nismothunder replied to JesseLivingston's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
poor maro(coming from the guy who uses a ice scraper to hold the hood open) My nissan does that but I've learned to live with it... -
I think kingman had the same thing wrong with his old pathy,I think he said he went like 20 miles and used half a tank of gas...I dont recall what was wrong with it though...
-
Ok...so some models came with 31s ffom the factory...so why couldnt you just run skinny 34s... I must say...skinny tires arent all that great on snow,my 95 has 245/70-16s on it and I must say that the wider foot print helped a lot.It floats on top of the snow in stead of digging down in to it.But it all depends on how you drive,if your afraid your just going to spin then get the skinng ones. For winter tires...in the size I metioned above I would say get RoadRunner ATP's(or apt's I forget how the names spelt)I got 2 brand new at Fleet Farm(not sure if you have them out in co)and it was a night and day diffrence between my old dueler 486s and the roadrunners(meep meep)...

So break the one thats on there now off, drill the offender out and then your good(if that side is a little loose go around it (or around the bottom of the cap) with some silicon... Dark brown colored fluid...I will say that you have oil in your tranny(engine oil)I believe that was the problem with mine, since I had a leaky main seal and I believe oil was getting in around the dip stick tube...
-
My 92 GA has the same thing, all of them did,its not the torqconverter it self but the switch that turns it on and off...
-
Could just be that the fluid is bad in the tranny and needs to be changed...could also be fuel filter, plugs building up with oil since your rings are starting to go and the oil burning off as you increase RPMs.Could be ice in the fuel lines(dump a bttle of heat in it to fix) A former buddy of mines shadow did this (it also would be silent when on the gas but as soon as you got off it would be loud as hell) and he just lived with it.Dizzy cap and rotor(my 95 was poping and sizzling down the road until I replaced them and there was a big power increase after replacing them)Hope this helps in any way...
-
Headers would be something that would help it out,get rid of the cast junk manifolds and replace them with better flowing stuff that they should of left the factory with...

Are you sure you have day time running lights, are you talking about parking lights,or could you have your fog lights on?

I think you could fit 44s with just a wee bit of trimming. -

Auto Trans Can't Make Up Its Mind
nismothunder replied to RustyButTrusty's topic in 86.5-89 WD21 Pathfinders
Yeah,it should be hot, when its cold the fliud is all in the pan,you need to have it at the save part while running,if its at the safe spot when cold then your probly a quirt to a quirt and a half low.If it was me I would change the fluid and dump a bottle of lucas tranny fix in it to see if it helps... -

Are you checking it,by placeing it on level ground and letting it idle until the fluid is moving and then maneully engauging each gear(putting it in each gear spot and then bring it back to park) or are you just opening the hood and pulling the dip stick out, whipping off, replacing and then looking again... This isnt a joke but could you be looking at the oil dip stick by mistake...(tranny onpassger side by fired wall and oil on driver side coming out of the engine)
