  1. Just for the heck of it trying hooking up a battery carger to it and turn it to 200 amp start...see if it goes away(normally they will make a load noise like what your desribbing if the radios on and the batterys charging...
  2. On mine the water would run down the passger side pillar, but that was because I let the sun roof up in its spoiler mode(got for another 10 mph)
  3. You can lower the tranny using a engine puller(cherry picker?) Simon did it that way,but yeah a 5 speed would be worth it(strangly there not rated to tow as much as a auto) since I had to deal with the tranny burning up twice in mine(the second time I dont know why it burnt up,was gone in 20 miles)
  4. Flush the engine and inspect the exhaust, like B said its the y-pipe is cracked it will have a loud thicking sound, but if it breaks then its going to loud and anoying sounding...
  5. Okay but theres also a thing called a water control valve that if I under stand it right allows flowage to the heater core, depending on the pastion of the controls its limiting the flowage of hot coolant through it,like if you have it all the way over in the blue its letting in warm air,but if you have it all the way over in the red its letting in a lot of hot air...(this is with the blower motor off...)It could also be the weather stripping and/or a poor gap between the passager door and the rocker panel/fendor...
  6. I thought the heater core would only leak if the heater was on...if its not on then its not leaking,I'm pretty sure of this since it seems thats the only time they leak.
  7. The heater coil could be it,since you have the heat on so the coolant is being pushed through it,causeing the leak...
  8. I think tex had the same thing, but the trannys toasted, you need another and you should replace the torqe convertor instead of using the one from a junk yard tranny...
  9. Looking good for a 100 year old...

  10. Like in a touqe convert, like perfomance wise,or what will it stall out at rpm wise...
  11. Thats what I thought too,but mine burnt up off road...if the trannys been flushed a lot and maintained there shouldnt be a problem but if you dont know then I would replace it because the coolers probly packed all full of Sh!t and is on its last legs.A member on hear(sevral I think) all had tranny problems and flushing and changing coolers all fixed it.
  12. I've seen a 225/75 bogger...it was on a four wheeler though... 265/55/16...that was one something(not pathy) stock...I just cant think of it right now...I know it was a import truck tough...I think it was a izusu thing...or maybe a 90s corvette...I've seen them before there pretty wide...my camaro has 60s so yours are wider...its gotta be a corvette tire or some thing like that... But get the maxxis there pretty good and not to spendy,is your truck 2 wheel drive?
  13. I say mount it like a pre runner bumper, the top slanted forward...
  14. Just noticed the vibration part, could it be something on the cross member thats losend up,my tranny went out a while ago and it was slipping in high rpms(it over heated) but now that I think about it it seemed to whine some before hand(like since I got it)could it be that your not out of four wheel drive, mine would keep the hubs ingauged even after I put the t-case in 2 hi...About all I can say is get a after market tranny cooler and see if that helps, since the stock ones are junk...
  15. old age, every thing gets louder with age(me included)...could it be your rear end...or possbly you cd player(some are loud when off)
  16. Looks like something from the dawn of the dead remake movie...just right for plowing throwing herds of undead over grown rabbit...
  17. Interco makes a 27 inch bogger(or at least they did but I think it was a 14 inch wheel) all tires are diffrent sizes since there is no standerd metric size between each maker, some measure at diffrent stages, uninflated, inflated mounted, unmounted. My roadrunners where half a inch bigger then my micaline, and my good year I got was a full inch bigger then my roadrunners when the michalin popped of the bead...
  18. Are you talking about Johns auto part Edicer or another one?
  19. Just a thought but yours is a stick right? Dex 3 is what nissan recamends(if you dont want to get there tranny fluid)for there transfor cases... Yep just looked it up and its says,89 models get API GL4 75w-90 and 90-95 get Dexron ATF...So if your getting some heavy oil in your transfer case I can see a rebuild in your futher...
  20. I'm digging those sexy white walls...
  21. What kind of black coating,is it oily looking or just like it has a lot of carbon on it.It could be from rings(if oily) or a piece of carbon that has come loose out of the head...try bumping some seafoam in the gas and see if it gets better, could also be caused by a really low grade gas(that has a lot of water in it)Do you notice anything wrong, like a bunch of water coming out of the tail pipe(head gasket,a little water is ok,just condisation)
  22. I've bounced it of mine at 6500-6700 hundred,kinda of a vroom...wha,wha,2nd gear,vroom,wha,wha,3rd gear...
  23. The clicking in reverse makes me sustect its the transmission not shifting into gear all the way...
  24. The 4.3 vortec is only a good motor inthe 93-94 200 hp flavor, other wise its like 190.So really whats the point,a 3.3 with headers and a intake makes the same power. If your going to be swapping to a gm engine why not get a small block like a 305(non-vortec),they get great gas milage and have the tourqe to get up and move pretty good.A th700 tranny and a 305 would be a great combo.I say this because to switch from one make engine to another in a car isa lot of work.Just changing the 3.0 to a 4.3 will require a full electric swap, new tranny, drive shaft,t-case...and in the end you get a engine that doesnt make much more power then a 3.0 with headers and intake...
  25. What ja say!!!... Are you in four wheel drive? if so then I wouldnt be afraid of a little noise since there usally a little louder in four wheel drive.Could it be you CVs...is it like a clicking...
