Will 6 hole rims off a 73 jimmy fit a 95 pathy
Slick replied to chazmo's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
all the rims ( all 3 sets of them) i run on my pathy are off chevys...... they are 3.75" BS or 4" BS......... (the sets differ) -

i managed to drill into the broken drill bit, then ended up drilling the hole to 5/8th and putting a bolt in there. it works better than the stupid studs, and am highly thinking about drilling my other set of heads to hold bolts instead of studs too.... when doin my way of extraction.. please PLEASE be careful of the water jackets.. you can only go down so far before you hit one and then yer fubard. i am not saying my way is right or good.. but it was my last resort. a machine shop would be able to remove it but they would need the head to do so. check out B's write up about removing broken studs http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=5361

depending on your location (looks back east somewhere) i'd say offer him $500 or $600. $1,000 seems a bit high from what i can see.

I think I am about ready to give up on my 95 SE
Slick replied to zack1978's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
*ahem* lemme just say if anyone should have given up on their pathy and jumped ship long ago it shoulda been me. i have over $3,000 invested in mine, no lifts (except JGC coils) and have never managed to get past the motor (well.. not far)..... it is a labor of love.. and i will tell you..... when a pathy gets sick....... she pukes for a long time before recovering. so the love/hate relationship begins. Brakes, and the above mentioned maintenance are all just that. "routine"....... it has to be done at some point, and will no doubt not have to be done for a long time to come. $500 for fluids? WTF i did all mine (except tranny) for under $100.. and it took 1 afternoon. I used valvoline gear oil. Works great. How bad is the frame rust? fixable? remember.. even if you do sell the pathy...... EVERYTHING needs maintenance...... -
my bad... i just woke up.. gimme a break man!!!

i got my thorleys from summit for $338 (chrome nickle plated.. 18 months later and they are still a beautiful chrome/blue color), no heat shields required, then i got a high flow cat (nothing special as far as the name) that was $50, and a flowmaster 50 series muffler ($80). I installed the headers myself, then had a shop order the hf cat and FM muffler, and install 2.5" pipe throughout for $400 all incl. BTW: i am in CA and my set up is CA legal. i think the difference in headers is the egr port on the RH header...... but someone can correct me on this if i'm wrong. -bounce-

looks schweeeeet! nice work! that door dent can be pooped out relatively easily if you whip the door panel off and give it a good bang a couple times.
-
usually yes, but auto pathys factory tranny coolers tend not to be so swift, and the tranny can stillf ry itself. bypass the stock cooler and slap an aftermarket cooler on there.... it will help a LOT in the life of your tranny.
-
have you had yer tranny fluid changed ...... ever? do you have enough tranny fluid in there???? do you have an aftermarket tranny cooler? cuz if you don't... even if you fry this tranny.. i HIGHLY suggest you get one else guess what...... you'll be there again. has anyone checked yer torque converter??? :contract:
-
they could have knocked a wheel weight off... or it could be a fubard alignment..... check yer tire pressures too
-
seond that notion! :cool2:
-
i'm waiting for mine to spit out a mouse
-
check it at working temp with the motor off
-
oh yeah.. my XE also has heated mirrors..... 2 years later i found out after workin nights.....lol
-
that's total BS. like venge says. they're making excuses. my brand new RMS leaks on the motor i just installed... but that's my fault.... and it's their fault YOURS is leaking... get fed up n open up a can of whoop ass
-
:cool2: ryan! now.... build me some for my 4 door......
-
if it doesn't wallow or feel super bouncy over bumps or rattle n clang over bumps, or when under moderate to hard braking the pathy doesn't sway front to back,.. i wouldn't worry about it..... just like us women.. gravity takes over after a while...... if it feels "not-as-stable-as-before" then you may need to look into some new susp parts...
