Yes, Craftsman Torque wrenches are warrantied for 3 months I believe. Thats because a lot of people use them as breaker bars which will destroy them in no time. I have been using the same torque wrench for 8 years (properly) and it still works great. IMHO anyone who does a fair amount of wrenching should have a decent 2', 1/2" drive breaker bar. A pipe and ratchet can work, but for the easy of use and safety factor, I'll take the breaker bar. It's not like they are expensive and its a drag to be 1/2 way done with a job with a broken ratchet, bloody knuckles and still have to finish the job... Been there before... :furious: B

Thanks for the valuable info snosnk !! The tap trick makes sense, but i decided mine didn't need replacing, so I didn't consider the options. Still... The WD21's have the same carrier set up for the throw out bearing. I didn't bother with it and bought a new one for $15 and pressed the new bearing in. After replacing everything, my throw out bearing still barks the first few shifts, but goes away... I ignore it as I know everything is brand new and like to think it did it right. B

It was probably a 4x4 block he is talking about. I have seen many of them dirt biking and they are usually bulldozed in to keep 4x4's off the trail for various reasons. Yes, they are a he!! of a jump on a dirt bike, enough to be careful. If you tried it slow in a 4x4 its a guarenteed high center, and if you went fast its 50/50 that you do a forward roll. If you went real fast, you are 10 feet in the air, and I have not seen many trucks that can deal with that, much less make it back out or over the next 2. If you have not seen them before, trust me, they do their job well. Maybe I'm wrong though ? B

They are pretty wimpy other than torque, but the point with them is that they run for more than 500 miles at a time and dont piss oil all over the driveway. Friend of a friend put 80k on one with no repairs !! Vast inprovement for Hardly !! I know the Isle of Mann TT well. I check it out, and my dealership head mechanic goes every year. Yes, but then thats not saying much... You have heard of TT races ? Harleys are masters of the BTB races... Bar To Bar. While they have improved considerably since they hired engineers and built the EVO motor, they are still barely acceptable in the current market, and usually get considerable aftermarket parts immediately. Consider the price also. I bought a top Honda cycle with 5 year extended transferable warranty out the door for 12K. You cant find a Hardly Ableson close to that price alone. My bike beats a Hardly in every category. If you have excess cash you can afford toys. If you are like me, you prefer value. Harleys look nice and are fun to ride aroung town, but the obnoxiously loud pipes and ego attitude of the riders makes me dislike them even more. As I said before, I have seen some nice Jeeps !! Even a Cherokee that was lifted and had 36" tires. If I was to set up a trail rig, I'd probably start with a Jeep (CJ) due to their size, the mods available, etc. I take that back, it would be a Nissan D720. Again, not being rich, having a dedicated trail rig is not remotely possible. I certainly don't want one as a daily driver... Nice Yota (toy) Red !! It looks like a lot of fun and fully capable. In my book, 20 year old japanese trucks are some of the best made vehicles out there. Geez, I wish I didn't have to sell my 83 nissan !! B

Yeah, the parts list for the Pathy can mount, but consider it a midlife reconditioning. You'll get another 100k easy ! Old cars are nice, but take a lot of love. 65 VW convert baja, 78 Superbeetle convert, 87 BMW K75. Thats 3 out of 5 that I have, and they keep me running in circles to keep right (or drivable)... The only one thats perfect is the CBR1100XX, and it needs tires and clutch soon ($600). Yikes... I need to find a rich woman !! What year Mustang ? Late 60's right ? Yes, there are several write ups and threads about it. While 'search' is a good place to start, lets face it, the search function here is lame. It takes me a LONG time to find what I am looking for. I agree Vengeful... SolidWorks is the most straight forward, intuitive CAD I have ever used. I drew a part my first day that I never figured out in 3 weeks with AutoCAD. While I never really got the hang of AC (self learner) it is a powerful tool in the hands of a guru !! Oops, I forgot Mechanical Desktop, although it is very AC like... What is it you do that you know CAD so well ? Showing off the skill I have in a trade I have labored in for almost 15 years ? Yes, yes, yes... It is technically a bearing as it is a "load 'bearing' surface". pssd Sheesh bro, I was just being precise... The real reason I pointed that out is when I was ordering parts, the manual talked about bushings and the web site listed it as a bearing which made me wonder if it was the right part.... It wasted some of my time to figure the imprecise nomenclature out. Just wanted to save someone else the confusion. B
