All of the above are possible and your tumblers could be crapped up. What condition is the key in ? Do you have a heavy key ring/fob ?? So, these can bugger up the ignition lock over time. Try squirting graphite or silicone spray in the hole first... B

Hey MZ, since you put it like that, I think your truck may be running hot... When you idle, the fan is blowing really hot air from the radiator through the condensor, not allowing it to cool/condense properly. My temp NEVER reaches 1/2 way, but I have a new radiator and fresh coolant... How old is you coolant, what condition is it in ? Is the inside of your radiator scaly or crappy ? How old is the thermostat ? Do you have good flow ? You get the point. One of the first mods I will do after damage control is done is install a temp/oil pressure/volt meter gauge cluster. Had that in my old 720 stock and it kept me from breaking down a couple of times. Why don't Pathy's have it ? Wait, I have a cheapie XE, maybe SE or LE have them ? Anyway, how old is your AC juice anyway ? It may be a combo between the two... B

Idling, traffic, stop lights and a lead foot all can make a big difference. That and O2 senser, but you just changed that, didn't you ?? If it gets better milage with AC, don't complain !! B

Hmm MZ, thats a thought, I'll stop by the local fire station and ask; even if they say no, I'm sure they could tell me what material to use... FLAp, the key here is to have it clamped down and get straight even bends. Also, it is 3/8 thick so it takes some force and needs to be cooled in position, if you let go it creeps back to origional. It cant be done on the driveway... B

There are several threads about that here. Use the search function and/or look in the garage. Yes, there are a few tricks, do's, dont's, etc. Too much to relist, and I haven;t done it myself. Probably #1 is spray the body bolts down well and several times with a penetrant... Last big thread on it was by Mr Pickles I believe... B

No, mine was only jimmied open on the ignition side... It doesn't fall off, just looks bad. One other thought I had is that POR15 makes some sort of epoxy putty that is basically machinable so you may be able to 'reconstruct' enough for a screw to bite into and drill a hole (or form it around a straw or something). I know mold makers like it so it must be good stuff. Go to POR15 site and check out if it's compatable with plastic. Maybe other epoxys or something like JB weld would work. Maybe you can just cross drill something to give the stuff something to hold on to. It's not like it needs a lot of force to hold it on. Problem with glue is if you adhere it together, you'll need to get back in there in a few weeks. Murphy's law you know... My vehicular concerns are much greater than plastic bits right now so I haven't messed with it yet... B

Header wrap may work in a pinch, but I'm more thinking a solid if possible and the area I need is basically 1'x2' minimum. I found something called mineral wool or rock wool that I can get in sheets, but I'm not yet sure how brittle it is... Nomex probably isn't the right thing (and I probably cant afford it). Thanks for the input though !! Come on, you engineers, fire fighters, contractors, or welders got to have some suggestions. Personally, I think it would be handy to have a sheet of some fire proof material around, but then, maybe you dont smoke as much crack as I do... B

I haven't heard of that special edition... Did you try a web search ? With there were better pictures on that site, I cant get a good enough look at that front guard myself... It does jutt out a bit far and low which will affect your approach angle, but then that probably doesn't matter to most people. Conversion factor is .62 miles to 1 km so it has about 118,000 miles on it. Thats not bad at all. Hmm, all I could find is the mention that the film tour Cold Fusion is sponsored by Nissan Pathfinder. Just sounds like a marketing gimmick, although maybe it comes with a ski rack or roach clip or something... B

Mines broken also. For a fix, look to see if there is still anything for the screws to bite into. If so, go with a larger diameter/longer length (whatever is appropriate)self tapping (although many others will work) screw to hold it together. If not, junk yard time baby... Virtually any color should be fine as you can always paint it to match the inside of your truck and then you have touch up paint left over for other things... B

Ok, I got some sheets of UHMW polyethylene that have skid plates trapped inside of them so I need to do some hot forming to let them out... Since I'm unemployed, I no longer have access to the 8' steel table I used before. I need something fire proof. I'm figuring the material will be some sort of construction material, but not necessarily... The parameters are that it can not be too brittle as there will be some C clamping and maybe BFHing going on. Hopefully, it doesn't have to be more than an inch thick. It can be a flexible material like a woven mat, but the softer it is, the more difficult the job will be. I tentatively plan to clamp the fire retardant material to a saw horse or deck with a layer of sheet aluminum or steel on top of that, then clamp the PE to the top and start torching and bending. Any ideas to get me looking in the right direction ?? Thanks much y'all ! B

I think the cheapest I have heard someone pay for them was about $350 and depending on shipping,etc that doesn't seem too far off. It's kinda 'you get what you pay for' scenario.. B

Good one !! Yeah, the whole dealership car sales is such a racket !! I worked at one when I was younger, but didn't last long. I just wasn't enthusiastic enough about cheating, pushing and ripping people off... Some of the things I had seen though One of my favorites was the salesman who has so many DUI's that he had no license for 2 years or so. Imagine a car salesman who cant drive !!! I still have my car salesman ID. Every once in a while I'll accompany a friend to a dealership and when the sharks start circling I dont say anything, just flash the ID. Immediately their attitudes do a 180 and they basically just swim off... LMAO B

LOL k9sar... One problem with calling the factory is that it is not unusual for the stealerships to install options themselves. Sometimes its jsut things like window tint and pin striping, but I have seen them go much farther than that... B
