Saw those, anyone have experience with them? Meaning, are they decent quality?

Anyone have a good source to get the front turn signals? The lenses on mine are about dead, lots of cracks and getting brittle, also the socket for the bulb has completed corroded away on the passenger side signal. Any place online to get the whole assembly cheap?

Might be able to do this puppy myself then if there isn't any custom pipe work needed. That will definitely save me some $$$.

Wheel, how long have you had the Borla on for? How is it holding up? I have a stainless steel exhaust system on one of my cars and it has been over a year and it looks just like the day I installed it. Where as the exhaust on the truck right now is looking pretty done for. I just need to try and figure out when I had this recent one put on. Has it been a long time or short time. Will have to dig through receipts tonight.

Ok, just so I don't miss anything when and if I get around to ordering stuff: Headers Cat back exhaust New cat Anything else I need to get? Slick, I will go back an reread about the oil filter relocation kit. I installed one of these before on another car. Oh, anyone know of anyone in Northern Virginia to get this exhaust installed by or are the headers a DIY but just a lot of time? Right now I am all about saving as much $$$ as possible.

Next question, just confirming. Since I have an auto trans I will need to get the shop to fab the crossover/y pipe? Also, looks like I will need to relocate the oil filter as well?

Animal, where did you get your exhaust from?

They have been using the 300Z studs. I just think the main problem is with an aluminum head and a cast iron manifold you are going to have problems with different cooling rates. Plus I have over 300K miles on the truck so the studs last for awhile but I have seen my fair share of them.

Ok. Looks like I am definitely going to have to do something. Got on it a little last night and must have blown out a hole in the exhaust before the muffler. Truck has a nice deep throaty sound now. =) What sort of cost are we looking at? I priced all this stuff out years ago and can't find anything now. Patz, how much did you get the Borla for and where? 88 where to get the headers from and which ones? I think Thorley makes ceramic coated ones? Spent some time reading up on going this route before and just recently. Then the question is where to get it all installed so I don't get bent over on price. I would do it myself, but I don't think I am going to have the time or equipment to deal with the manifold studs, plus all the headers I have installed in the past on other cars have always been a b@#ch to install. Actually threw one set across the garage once after spending an hour trying to get them on. Funny thing is after I threw them, they went on without a problem. =)

I was thinking about going with the headers just for the simple fact that I keep throwing money at the exhaust manifold studs. Same shop has always done the work on the manifold and studs and I have used them for several years and know the mechanics that work on it. Just trying to decide if I just replace the current pipes or do the headers and the pipes. Reality is that last time I replaced the exhaust system I should probably spent that amount on the headers and pipes.

Well a couple of the manifold studs have broken again. I have lost count of how many times this has happened now. I think this might be the 6th time. To make matters worse, the rear exhaust hangar broke causing the rear tailpipe to sag. This then caused the pipe to crack right after the muffler so now I have an exhaust leak there as well. And to top it off, the Pathy is due for inspection and maybe emissions next month (March). I think I can probably get away with the exhaust manifold since it seals up once the engine heats up, but the rest of the exhaust probably won't pass. This will be about the 5th time I have replaced the exhaust since I have owned it. I am thinking about replacing the parts myself this time round to save some $$$. Any suggestions? Anything out there that might last longer for an exhaust system?

I think it has to do with the tranny somehow. Anyone know what part to replace or should I take it to the stealer?
