Maybe the tool with the Honda who diagnosed his tranny and replaced the seleniod pack could help you... B

He is right, the only way to know is check, BUT if you must guess, order the round tooth belt. Only a twit would replace the round tooth pulleys with the square... Also, check with Alkorahil in the Services section. He has excellent prices so you can probably get OEM for a reasonable price. B

Sorry, I have no info about your first question, but... I don't believe it for a second. Last oil change, I use Castrol semi synthetic, I saw the stuff I usually use and right next to it was Castrol semi synthetic extended performance that claimed I could run it for 10,000 miles and it was only 30 cents more a quart. This confused the crap out of me and I took both bottles to the manager (a guy who has a show car and is knowledgeable) and asked him WTF?? How can this be?? And for only 30 cents more? Why even sell the old style crap anymore then. Smells fishy to me, would you use it for 10,000 miles without changing it? He just looked at me for a minute then said rather quietly "Nope". I thanked him and that was that in my book. I change the the Mobil 1 in the GF car every 5000 miles and that's as far as I would ever push motor oil... B

The right way to mount it is have the inlets on the side (in at bottom and out at top) or the inlets on top (doesn't matter). With the inlets on the bottom, it can always trap air/froth/whatever in it. That's why I rotated mine... B LOL Yes Sir!! The PO had installed this, but I improved the lines, rotated it sideways so the inlet is at the bottom so it can't trap air and remounted it. I was told this was a 18,000lb capacity cooler or how ever they rate them... How may times do I have to post this anyways??

Spinning one way lets parts rub and get pushed away, spinning the other makes them rub and get bound together. I could be wrong, but this is the first thing I would look at, you may see something else and you can test other things with the rear end jacked up and the tires off, right? B

Back brakes is my guess. Something failed so pull the drums and look. Takes 30 minutes max for both sides... B

Well, I'll add a few things... Coveralls. Buy a decent pair for $30-40, you won't keep ruining clothes and are a boon when the weather is cooler. Shop Towels (heavy duty blue paper towels) about the only 'rag' I use. Chemicals!! Alcohol, naptha, thinner, carb spray, brake cleaner, penetrant, etc... I am a machinist/home mechanic for a couple of decades so I have all sorts of tools, to many to even go into other than... Calipers. Buy a dial set for $20, you won't believe you ever got by without them. I have a set of safety glasses that has a led bulb on a swivel on each temple. Great for when you are under the truck/leaning into the engine compartment. No need for positioning/holding a light, they shine where you look. Headlamps work well also, but I like the safety glasses so crap doesn't fall into my eyes... Creeper and mechanics stool is more important the older you get... I'm sure there are 100 things I'm forgetting. B
