Now that they've fully switched over to the crappy Winter gas, I'm only getting about 12mpg. My last tank (Sunoco...25% Ethanol...bastards!) I got 8.4mpg.

At that extreme cold, I would suspect that even your electrical system would be having problems. Can you leave the truck in a heated garage and see what happens?

Wake up and go back to the old codger forums! My 32s fit fine. I've got over 80,000 hard miles on my AC coils (and they were the early ones that sagged more than the current ones). I only get rubbing when there is snow or ice build-up behind the wheels. I could probably fit some 33s now with my truck as it sits.

Your vehicle speed sensor is on the fritz. Replace it and your problem should go away.

You do realize that that is NOT a Nissan part, but an aftermarket TYC manufactured part, right? If you're satisfied using cut-rate aftermarket parts on your vehicle, go right ahead, but you can get a Nissan one for not that much more.

They sure are accessible after you take apart the engine, but do you really want to do all of that?? It's not as bad on the VQ as it is on the VG, but it's still a hassle. Just get a 6" extension with a U-Joint wobble, and the right socket and you'll be fine. There should be a little notch in the firewall where the tool can go so you can access the plug.

I was talking to him at Coal Creek `05, and he was saying something about the front driveline being the same as the 4-cylinder Hardbodies. *Shrug*

I got them on eBay for $70 about 2 years ago. They're cracked so I'm going to be scavenging them and reproducing them for my own use using some heat-treated stainless steel with heat wrap.

You're mistaken Simon. The R50 has the R180 up front, same diff as the late (95-97) 4-cylinder Hardbody pickups. It will still handle 33s no problem though, as long as you don't abuse it.

Also, nowadays, most gear oil has the LSD additive in it anyways. Using gear oil with LSD additive in a non-LSD diff will do absolutely nothing to the diff. You're fine.

I wouldn't recommend using the Bosch sensors. Nissans are EXTREMELY picky when it comes to sensors and the Nissan ECM seems to prefer getting data from a Nissan OE Part. I tried the Bosch sensors on my truck and it kinda fixed it but I still got crummy mileage. After replacing them with Nissan sensors, I'm up to 18.5mpg highway with 32s. :o The Nissan ECM wants to see the data in a sine wave format, the Bosch sensors only put it out in a box wave. As in everything else, you get what you pay for. Go with Nissan.

New: Throttle Body IACV-AAC Valve EVAP Valves and Lines ECM Intake Tube (4) Oxygen Sensors And a nice detail job on the dime of the neighboring strip mall for painting my truck beige.

The P0325 is just a knock sensor code. It will not cause your MIL to illuminate. The P0158 is what is tripping the MIL. There is a huge list of possible causes for that code, but I would start with the oxygen sensor itself.
