The parking situation in Japan is such that everything is in very tight quarters, so any feature to make a vehicle take up less space is a good one.

You don't have to. That's only if you want the stereo to display the artist, album and song title. Otherwise it'll just display track numbers. It's kind of a pain in the butt to input all the track information, so I'd just ignore it if it plays fine without it.

They're fine. I've got 118k on my rear shoes and they've still got plenty of life left in them.

Since those options are not available on the N/A Models, they were included with blanks for adding features. JDM has nothing to do with it, since it's not built for the Japanese market. It would have been easy enough for Nissan to just make a flat dash peice with no switch blanks for the N/A market instead of making all those little plastic switch blanks. Cheaper, too! But, they went for convenience for the buyer. Those switch blanks are good for adding factory options, or aftermarket accessories. That's straight from the mouth of Nissan Truck. Go ahead, try to argue with them.

Um, he has heated seats. You'd realize that if you looked at the picture or read his post. They are switch blanks. There's not supposed to be anything there. Nissan included them for you in case you want to add extra accessories.

Your roof isn't intended to carry that much weight. 100lbs is the suggested limit. Granted, I've exceeded that before myself, but I don't recommend it. Pick up a Thule or Yakima rack as they'll support the weight much better than the factory crap. Just be sure you tie it down nice and tight!

Snap-On sells an 18V Cordless Impact Wrench that is amazing. For about the same price, you can get a 30-Gallon Air Compressor and a starter kit of Air Tools from Lowes.

It's super easy. Undo the mounting bolts holding the existing shocks in. Put the new shocks on the mounts. Tighten the bolts. Shouldn't take more than 10 minutes unless you've got a stuck bolt. Spray the nuts/bolts/mounts down with a generous dose of PB blaster for a few days before you do it. It helps to have air tools. Use a torque wrench to set the torque.

I wouldn't worry about the Knock Sensor, that won't trigger the MIL. That won't really effect the way your vehicle acts at all. 1447 will eventually melt your cats, so that's the one you want to take care of first. Here's the screenshot from the FSM of what the possible causes are. Check the EC section of your FSM for your proper diagnostic procedure.

I would avoid the external controller like the plauge. They've been known to cause serious leaks. The last thing you want is a bunch of shock oil spilling all over the interior of your truck.

I've had the best luck with NissanParts.CC. They have had everything I've needed in stock, and their system will automatically supercede any old part numbers you give.

The readiness monitors have to be set in order for it to start receiving data from the sensors. Once those monitors are set, it takes 3 trips for a constant DTC or 1 trip for an intermittent or pending DTC. Only a constant DTC will illuminate the MIL, but certain ones (like the knock sensor) wont. It usually takes a few drive cycles and about 100 miles or so for everything to be set and all the sensors to be reading.

Yes. It's not the fuse. It's the bulb or the illumination connections on the right side of the cluster.

It's behind the change tray - which is pretty much directly in front of your left knee. Give that a yank up and out, and it'll pop out very easily and reveal your fuse panel.

Well, drive it around a bit and see if the MIL comes back on. If it doesn't, then you're golden. If it does, get the codes per the proper procedure and don't reset the ECM this time.
