How to get into events/ make a name for yourself?
vengeful replied to Paffphinder1989's topic in General Forums
For the most part, all of our club events are Open-Invite. All you have to do is show up! -
well, it could also be the voltage regulator, but thats integrated into your alternator and the whole alternator needs to be replaced to fix it. Time to upgrade to a quest! LOL
-
Yeah, no....I have no idea. LOL. I've got the same code, along with about 13 others...I'm just going to milk this thing until I find another one, and say good riddance.
-
Alternator is on the fritz.
-
nope. Its not. I'm dealing with power steering problems due to the kyb bearings right now. So. Unless you want to replace your power steering pump. Go with the oem.

the vaccuum cut bypass valve code will NOT trigger the KS code. It is a separate issue altogether. Forget about the knock sensor for now and concentrate on the bypass valve. Symptoms of a bad bypass valve include a rough high or low idle speed or an unstable idle. Possibly a pinhole leak in the line too. Have it checked by an emissions specialist. Pardon my speelijg and grammar, I'm mobile.

Or....since they're not actually radar triggered, rather triggered by timing the in- and out-times going over sensors in the roadways, why just slow down over the sensors in the road (you did notice all of the little snakey tar patches all over the 101 by the cameras, right?). Or, you could just slow down when everyone else does...there's usually a pretty good reason for it. Or...do the speed limit, that's a pretty simple solution, too. You'll get better gas mileage, and you'll be less stressed out, and you'll be polluting less. It may take you 1.7 minutes longer to reach your destination, but if you're really so important that 1.7 minutes is a big deal, then a photo-ticket shouldn't be a big deal.

Get a TJM and mount it in there... Oh, wait that's right...they don't make them anymore.
-
Too much error. You would destroy stuff. What's your Zip?
-
If that falls apart on you, I've got a rear 4.636 33-spline 3rd from a 2001 Frontier in my basement collecting dust. It's got an LSD in it but the arb replaces the whole carrier so it would still work for you. $95 plus freight.

Mine is ghetto-fab. It goes up the B-Pillar and out the door. I used flat-4 Trailer wiring connectors, velcro'd to the B-Pillar for the ability to have a quick-disconnect and not have wires exposed. Photos are for the unimaginative. LOL.

Driveshaft....not axle. Sell the 2WD and just buy a 4x4 with the features you want.

Anyone Hide 2 amps in rear Cargo Area
vengeful replied to jlwardn's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
I've had two amps mounted in the under-floor cubby hole for nearly 5 years without problems. It's not really a well ventilated area, by any means. No heat issues with the amps, whatsoever. Just be sure you get a good quality amp. -
Here in the frozen crotch of NY (Rochester) I've never had any trouble starting the truck. I use Mobil1 Synthetic 5W-20 in the winter. (10W-30 in the summer) No block heater, no battery blanket. No ticking. When the gas tank is REALLY empty, sometimes it's a little slow to start, takes a couple extra cranks, but it always fires. Except that time my dumb ass caught the seat belt in the door and didn't realize it and left the damn dome light on all night...

Mine used to be nice looking...now it's taken the place of Strykers as the most beat R50 on NPORA....since his is dead and gone now...

What do You use the rear in-floor storage cubby for?
vengeful replied to BowTied's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Amps. -

Oh that's so not fair. Calmini, if you're reading this, and you have pulled your heads out of your respective arses in the context of customer service, let this be a message to you!
-
Worth a shot! Try it, take a TON of photos and let us know how it works out. You'll be a pioneer--it's never been done before AFAIK.
-
 This begs the question...WHY?

Retail price on the WD22 Navara snorkel is now $320. I spent an additional $30 or so in other parts.

Lets see... Washington, DC to Phoenix, AZ - 34 total hours Phoenix, AZ to Washington, DC - 27 total hours (different route) Rochester, Ny to Washington, DC - countless times, record is 5:40, longest is over 12 hours (snow with a trailer) Rochester, NY to Jacksonville, FL - 19 hours, then back again Washington, DC to Jacksonville, FL - the day after driving back from Arizona, 762 miles. Jacksonville, FL to Quebec, QC Rochester, NY to Vancouver, BC Yeah, I wouldn't hesitate to drive my truck anywhere, and neither should you, as long as you're up to date on maintenance.
