  1. You could also look on the tire/vehicle info sticker in your drivers door jamb...
  2. I live in Rochester. A little bit out of the target area, but, then again...it might be worth it.
  3. I've got a 99 with 32s, and I can still roast the rear tires....I wouldn't be too worried about power-loss...
  4. Bah...free front locker! Just fill it up with oil and go! LOL.
  5. It usually takes him 3-5 days to fish through his inbox and actually respond to emails. He does have stock of R50 skids, and is making/will make more if the demand is there. I am in regular contact with him, and will forward this thread to him. Email him directly with any questions.
  6. I would still rather have hubs that wont break, and don't require a warranty...I shaved the entire face off one of my warns on a rock, and it still worked. I've seen so many MM hubs explode on difficult terrain it's not even worth getting them.
  7. Or...if you've got the part numbers. Go to Nissanparts.cc, print off the prices, and bring them in to your local dealership. I've never had them not honor the prices.
  8. I've never heard of it. :tonguefinger:
  9. You have to be VERY VERY careful when dealing with Rock Auto, though. They list parts as "OEM Replacement." Those parts are actually aftermarket, and NOT necessarily Genuine Nissan Parts.
  10. Hmm...Last I checked the Xterras didn't cost $285,000. If they did have a Titanium frame, they would! And it's not even a Titan frame that the new ones are on, it's a modified, narrowed, shortened version of the F-Alpha platform, that the Titan, Armada, Frontier, Pathfinder, and Xterra are all based off of.
  11. My winter routine... Walk outside. Brush crap off drivers door so it doesn't get all over my seat. Start truck. Brush rest of crap off truck. Hop in and go. By the time I go, I usually have warm air blowing, too.
  12. Agreed 100%. I've got the KYBs in my truck now and they're crap. Pure and utter Crap.
  13. There are 3 reasons for your diminished fuel economy, other than your larger tires. 1.) Oxygenated Fuel. It doesn't burn as efficiently as pure fuel. It is oxygenated to prevent freezing in sub-freezing temperatures. The Oxygenation process helps to reduce/eliminate water molecules in the gasoline. However, you also get less gasoline per gallon of oxygenated fuel than you do with pure fuel. 2.) Your engine runs in Closed Loop for longer while it is taking longer to warm up. Since the cold air temperatures keep the engine cooler for longer, it runs in Closed Loop for a longer period of time, which uses more gas than Open Loop, because none of the sensors are activated and the ECM is controlling the vehicle based on pre-programmed algorithms, instead of sensor given data for optimum efficiency and performance. 3.) Colder Air is denser than warmer air. This is a double edged sword though, as you gain a bit of power, but lose a bit of fuel economy as a tradeoff. Denser air requires more fuel per volume unit than less dense air, as air is injected based on weight. I also notice a significant decrease in winter fuel economy, it's normal.
  14. Definitely! Except that it's kind of beat up right now...lol.
  15. I'm going to be making some SolidWorks drawings here in a few weeks...I've got rough sketches, just need measurements, etc. There will be 7 mounting points on each side for the Sliders, and a new skidplate system. It'll be cool, and expensive. LOL.
  16. I heard from Phil's Wife. She claims they are still open for business and "doesn't know where anyone got the idea otherwise." I openly told her to send Phil himself here and to VA4x4 to make right on his promises. I highly doubt it will get anywhere, but we'll see...at least it's SOMETHING.
  17. Or....have the rockers replaced with a good set of heavy duty rockers that integrate rock sliders. Oooh....the ideas just keep flowing!
  18. Don't get the KYB strut mounts. They're garbage. I've had mine installed for barely a year, and they're toast. Go with the OEM Nissan ones. They're substantially more expensive, but well worth it in the long run.
  19. The KYB mounts are junk. I installed them a year ago with my new struts and they're totally toast. OEM is the only way to go. I've had the lift installed for just over 4 years, and over 85,000 miles, and my struts still top out occasionally.
