Lookin good!

The only reasons for brake fluid to be low in the reservoir is either a leak or your pads/shoes are almost worn out. The fluid level is designed to be reflective of the lining material. Brake fluid should never be topped off without checking to make sure the rest of the system is in good shape. Also now that the reservoir is full, when you go to compress the caliper pistons for new pads it'll make a mess unless the fluid is sucked out.

2003 pathfinder... Brake issues...maybe.
Kingman replied to indyqx4's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Uneven torque on the lug nuts can warp new rotors as well. So can poor quality pads and sticking calipers. If the tech didn't get the bearings tight enough when he replaced the rotors that can be an issue. -
I go 32-35. 26 is way too squishy for me.

If you bypass the AIV you can leave the line as it is. I removed it along with the emissions stuff though. It's only function is to inject fresh air into the cat. And yes, the exhaust will be louder if you remove the cat.

Where to get oil pressure switch connector
Kingman replied to R3GGI3's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
No affect on the but the light may remain on. A simple spade connector will do for all connectors you need to replace, just be sure to shrink-wrap the ends. -
It's a closed system. No reason for it to leave unless it's allowed to. However a small leak internal or external isn't that big of a deal, and such a small internal leak won't show up on a C0 test. Even the 5 gas can have a hard time seeing it. Slow external leaks can be hard to find since the heat dissipates the coolant before you smell or see it. Look very closely every were you can for build up or scaling. Dried coolant. Having a working radiator cap will allow the system to burp it's self out and push/pull coolant from the system into the overflow reservoir. You shouldn't have to be adding coolant to the radiator unless the reservoir is dry or your cap isn't functioning properly.

Dirty how? Small burned and glittery? Or just brown and smell fine? If the former your trans is most definitely toast. Is the transfer case making the noise? May have broke the chain and it's free wheeling.

Loosened the center link bolts on my '88 on my '88 one cotter pin slot. Seems to steer easier at idle. Ordered some Hawk pads for the '04. Spendy bastards.
-
Doing so means an entire retrofit unfortunately. There's zero shared parts between the two.
-
That looks good!

All you need to do is swap the trans and a few little things. Done it before, works fine. Disregard the crank angle sensor on the bell housing.

Yes, I've seen your truck a million times. It is made out of polycarbonate. I used PVC cement. I had a bandsaw, belt sander, and a dremel to work with. I'm frankly astonished the unprotected ECU lasted this long and is still working fine. It's been a long time. Oh you bastard, you fixed the link! There was some of that in a little bottle I used to go around the inside edges.

You have a VG33... might as well do the work to a worthwhile motor lol
-
The steering rack bushings would certainly be my first suspect.

Today I finally built an ECU box for my '88. Not the prettiest thing in the world since it was made out of plastic scraps and no planer but it's better than the ECU bring out in the open under the hood with the heat, moisture, and mud.

I have a Quest fan. It fits great with some minor trimming.

I think the last time I bought from them was when they had wiper blades on clearance. $8 shipped to my door for a set of good blades was fine by me.

Those 3 lights are the indicator for an alternator that isn't charging. If you're over heating, I'd guess the belt snapped off as it runs the alternator and water pump.

Pics???

Purple power, a scrub brush, and the crushed kitty litter. Then sweep or vacuum. Works for me!

Tried smacking the NO. 2 injector when it's missing?

Has Anyone Done A Brake Upgrade
Kingman replied to christianrx7's topic in Solid Axle Swaps, Hardcore Custom Fab
You don't need a running engine to bleed the brakes. Hydroboost does bleed out normally. -
I've had very bad luck with cheap slaves. It's worth the extra money for a Nabco, Tokico, Senkei, or Nissan part when you don't have to keep replacing them.

Haven't read back yet to refresh my memory, so sorry if it's been covered. Has the rubber hose between the pump and hard line in the tank been checked?
