Put new headlight bulbs in the '04. Been tapping on the passenger side for a week now and it finally quit for good. I put the GE Xenons in, side by side they do actually appear brighter and thankfully not blue.

Yes. The Xterras and Frontiers remained VG33 until 2005.

Chevy Master Cylinder upgrade

Tahoe in particular, not on the hydro boost end no. I did do brakes all around on a Denali yesterday. It stopped fine but I still hated the pedal feel. I'm not entirely sure why GM even uses the system on gasoline vehicles in the first place. There are so many others of the same size, different makes, that stop great with standard vacuum systems and less complication. Oh... the '07+ 1/2 ton GM trucks use a standard vacuum system as well, what gives? -

Damn, sorry to hear. Replace the sub harness as well for sure. It corroded over time and can cause changes in resistance seen by the ECU. -

To be honest, its the system its self that makes it feel mushy, though not as bad as the older trucks. Anything hydro boost from GM has come in leaking out of the MC. 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks or vans alike. In all reality the power is definitely there and it's a viable option... I just can't stand how they operate. -
Haha. Got the airbag recall taken care of and they even washed it for me. How nice...

I'd actually suggest an OEM Nissan sensor. Personally I've had very bad luck with aftermarket ones not reading correctly and causing more issues. -

They are a constant problem, weekly we have them in the shop with leaks (bad seals in the MC) and generally awful brake pedal feel although not using the Kelsey-Hayes ABS system could help it a lot. Have never been a fan... The only problems we've had with Ford's rendition is the swivel line from the power steering reservoir blowing off the MC. It's messy and you lose all pressure for power steering and braking almost instantly. They make beefed up lines for this. -
Yeah no sheit... I've got a shimmy/ steering wheel wobble from 40+ to freeway speeds but goes away around 70, generally worse when cornering. It's also intermittent-ish. 3" lift and wheel adapters. My first plan of attack is to install manual hubs so the CVs aren't constantly spinning at an obscene angle. My alignment is spot on and I've rotated the tires. There's nothing loose whatsoever and the adapters are perfectly flat and torqued. It's starting to drive me nutty. I have a hard time believing alignment will cause a shimmy as I've never experienced it. But stranger things have happened...

Stuff works good. Redline? I use it in my '88 and it stays plenty cool.

Detailed the interior.

Agreed. Should be locked up tight with those temps and sound like a school bus.

And got an airbag recall notice in the mail. Nice.

I hit a forked tree branch in the road and it flipped up and THWACK. It'll pop out I think and the scuff should buff out. Hopefully...

Put a dent in the door.

It could be. Although one thing to try is pinch off that brake hose while the wheel is free and apply the brakes, see what it does. If it still locks up its not a brake issue. Brake hoses can collapse and not allow the caliper to release.

GM hydro boost sucks... that's all I have for input. -
No I just snipped the end and put a ring terminal on it.
-
I had the same issue, it was a fusible link connection at the battery.

Sounds like a CHTS issue... temp sensor for the ECU so it can adjust fuel and timing trims. -

Energy Suspension bushing sleeves too long?

They are. Just cut them down to fit. -
Took a cut off wheel and die grinder to the factory bose speaker baskets. Had to make room for the Audisons. Took as much material as I could get away with and they just barely fit.

Changed the oil the filled up the '88. Then parked it in the garage. Ready for the next time I have the urge to drive it.

Nice
