  1. Is that your cost on bulk hose?? It's way spendier where I've seen it. Pray be just getting hosed.
  2. It's not supposed to do that. That's the solder joints in the box going bad.
  3. Hose from the pump to the hard lines would be a good thing to check. They can deteriorate in the tank and you lose fuel pressure at the rail. It's very common if hose not rated for high pressure fuel injection is used, or fuel rated hose in general for that matter (low pressure EFI or carb).
  4. Pull the filter off and see if it's clogged again.
  5. LH cylinder head behind the timing belt cover
  6. Yes, those factory fusible links and connections are janky from the factory and are becoming a more common problem as these rigs pound on the miles.
  7. I hate anything auto lock. I don't care what it is. I'm going to try disconnecting the ignition switched 12v and see if it does anything weird. I know it will disable that part but I'm not sure whatever else will go a long with it.
  8. Changed out the oil for 5w-40 synthetic. After starting it I realized the alarm I installed auto locks the doors when the ignition is turned on and unlocks them when it's shut off. Not cool at all!
  9. Merry Christmas everyone
  10. Got the lock/unlock part of my alarm install done. Works, but I didn't realize the 2-doors don't have actuators in the driver's door!
  11. I drilled mine out and used a fine thread nut and bolt. Didn't even think about helicoiling, would have been easier in the long run.
  12. Started installing the alarm I bought for it. About the only good spot to mount the module with the length of wiring I have is on the transmission tunnel under the stereo tucked away. I wanted to mount it in the kick panel under you rear speaker but not enough wire.
  13. So, have you by chance ohmed the old and new injectors to make sure the impedance is the same?
  14. I just put a set of Duratracs on, smooth sailing to 90.
  15. Well, I'm not him and since he's not around anymore I'd like to shed some light. The firing order is and always will be 123456 for our VG engine for balance. Fuel was delivered in batch fire meaning for TBI engines one injector fires per bank every ignition cycle. Being a carburetor now, this doesn't matter anymore.
  16. The Xterra oil pan is identical to the WD21s, so using that pickup tube would be the best bet.
  17. Found an annoying squeak that came from the grill missing a few screws on the bottom. It was driving me nuts! Wonder why they were done, *ahem*, Kyle... Then fixed a bad solder joint inside the ECU that was causing the engine to die when I hit a bump just right. Luckily when I closed the hood it died so I got the clue and tapped on the side of the ECU. Easy fix. Vacuumed it out too. Had a few pine needles on the carpet driving me nuts.
  18. Here's a complete kit for the manifold studs. http://store.acadianasportscars.com/bk056-0030 Or if you want stainless but you might have to drill and tap to 10mm http://store.acadianasportscars.com/bk056-0045
