  1. Squeaking belts have nothing to do with the way it runs...
  2. Yes, but a crossmember or two may be different.
  3. Have you checked the transmission cooler to see if it's clogged or not? It's a common problem in the older WD21s, '87-'95, but any cooler can clog up. I may need to be flushed or replaced and is starving the transmission of fluid, which if that is the case it will take the new transmission out as well. Maybe try swapping the Transmission Control Unit from the other vehicle as well.
  4. Sad day man, but you gotta do what you gotta do. But just because you sold the Pathfinder doesn't mean you're not welcome here, we all gain knowledge and experience with our rigs that shouldn't be thrown away.
  5. When I was visiting with MY1PATH a while back we took a gander at my pins since he had a few laying around. He said his took him all day just to pound them out. One came out fine on mine, and then the other refused to move and we beat on it with a pin punch and sludge hammer for a while. Heating didn't help either - so I can easily see how they can be a pain.
  6. 6x5.5" lug pattern, 15x8s, 4" of backspacing.
  7. 15x7s will work just fine, but the better choice if the option is available are 15x8s. Search around, there's a ton of info on the subject...
  8. Now that I think about it, a kid in my Diesel Tech class had the same problem and the fix was a new dimmer switch as well...
  9. Dimmer switch could be shorted out.
  10. Bosch plugs are bad...NGKs are the best to run.
  11. I could use an alternator pulley machined down to 2".
  12. I had that gauge too on my old '87, it was extremely accurate down to 1/16 of a tank. Pretty amazing for the age and mileage on the rig.
  13. 2-4 gallons for mine usually. It depends on it's mood, but I can drive for quite a while with the light on.
  14. Oil gets thin, things start to tick.
  15. There's TONS of threads on it... MY1PATH has the complete system in his truck, it's pretty badass. I'm sure he'll chime in...
  16. I like it with the flaring, but it would look better if it could be mounted more flush like MY1PATH said. I've been wanting to get one too, I think they look badass.
  17. Sounds like a bad lifter tick.
  18. Yeah, you'll want to replace those bushings and cups as soon as possible. It's called the compression or tension rod and it keeps the tires on a straight vertical plain when going over bumps and what not, instead of having a tendency to come back towards the passenger compartment. Mine were beyond toast, and every time I hit a bump or pavement imperfection the steering wheel would shake and you could literally see the front tires wobbling in different directions, which is really quite dangerous.
  19. 189,766 miles. Bought at 177K in August of '09. I drive too much...
  20. That's the one I have installed already. Thanks. I have serious problems giving my money to people who don't know jack shyit about cars and jog me around based on what a primitive computer says, or people who don't speak clear enough English to understand what I want. It sounds like you run a good store, you should move to Vancouver, WA and I'd gladly pay you for parts I need.
  21. As long as it's a 3-wire heated sensor with a thread of 12X1.25 it will work. I bought one from Rock Auto and it was an 18x1.5 thread, whoops.
  22. Ha! Every Shucks I've been to, the people tell me I can't do certain things because it's not in the computer. Like Bosch Icon wipers won't fit - I walked out there and put them on right in front of him, I told the guy I needed a thermostat and relay wiring kit for an AFTERMARKET AND NON STOCK electric fan and he refused to find me one because his little computer didn't show a part number for my truck, and they say that you can't put headers on an I6 engine - again walked outside and showed him point blank, rear drum shoes/parts on a '76 CJ5 must be "special ordered" and are expensive when they are the same thing as a 70s GM half-ton truck part number and everything, I can't use DOT4 brake fluid in a DOT3 system, etc. It's things like that, which happened just about every time I've been in, that lost my business. Even if I tell them first thing "it's an aftermarket set up," the first thing they say is "okay, what kind of vehicle is it?" and start typing it into their computer. Then it's "oh, we don't have that for your vehicle." At this point I'm almost laughing in frustration. At least at NAPA I can have a conversation about trucks and what not with the people there. Shucks, they stare at me like deer in headlights. "Uh, uh...uh...uh..."
