So I talked to alex and this is a post from him through me I switched one of the shock ends from a 1/2in Heim to a 15mm poly bushing. On the non-resi 7100s, you need to mount the shock body on the bottom, or the tire will hit the schrader valvev at full stuff. The only resi shock that will work is one with a flexible extension. the resi shocks with hard-mounted reservoirs will not fit without custom modification. You can get the conversion bushing from an off road parts store. particularly for ATVs That is all, just passin on the word, and clearing up some questions, questions that would have otherwise gone un-answered

Come on ppl!!! They are designed to help with kangaroo-car accidents...kanagroos in australia are like deer here in america. They are designed to help guard the car, while being more gentle to the roo Though even with that if you hit a kangaroo at 60mph......its DONE

Okay so my plan is to go back to my friends and see if my CV is still good after that trip(not making any noises) and if it is im going to go ahead and just replace the boot. That is because im a poor college student...that and NISSANDOMS47 stole a bunch of money from me...so ya in a bad situation right now. But ill post up and tell yall what im doin Andrew

Thanks for the quick replies, I tested out the 4wd by enguaging the hubs, and driving in the parking lot in 4wd high, and 4wd lo, and I can still Mall Crawl quite well . Anyways since thats the case im going to see if its the same thing once i get back from my trip, if so im going to try and just replace the boot, and put on new clamps and put some new grease in. No use in spending 65 bucks if the axle isnt broken. Im currently trying to find a write up on how to remove the cv and put on a new boot, but its a no go Any help?

So today I decided to wash the pathy, and get her clean, while washing the front passenger wheelwell, I noticed some grease on it, that wouldnt come off, so I get down to look and my jaw drops when I see the CV shaft and the boot. This is what I saw This is what it should look like So this is the first time I noticed it, but it looks bad, my questions are how do I fix this? does the whole CV Shaft have to be replaced now? Whats with all the grease that came out? And is it SAFE to drive in, because I have a 3 hour drive back home at 70mph the whole way that im making on thursday. If I do can it cause any damage. The Hubs are unlocked, which leaves me wondering how this happened. It looks as if the top ring on the boot came off and took some of the boot with it

You still havent fixed that light??? lol -
Thanks guys, I really appreciate all the help, I have been reading in a few other places that you should change your oil soon after, and also that you can hurt the engine by doing this, that there is soo much buildup that you can hurt the engine, note that i have 90k and its never been done, and I have quite the lead foot
-
Im not looking at my engine now, but it seems to me that the throttle body is sideways on the VQ...thus there is a problem, kinda hard to pour a liquid sideways lol
-
Okay so I looked into the engine compartment and saw a @!*%load of different hoses and stuff, im going to take a pic and ask you exactly what hose lol.....engine work scares me
-
I would reccomend using the search function and searching Sub Frame Drop Lift
-
So im bored and I was thinking of seafoaming the pathy. I have never seafoamed the pathy and its got 90k on it. I have the VQ, so where do yall put it? What lines or do you just dump it into the fuel tank?. I really think that I should do this, but idk where to put it. A pic would help also lol

Which Suspension lift package?
01silvapathy replied to OR99.5Speed's topic in R50 FAQ's & Pinned Topics
Then have fun replacing the CV's The real task that the hubs accomlish is less stress on the CV's because of the angle of the cv shaft after lift. If you get them yes you will have to get in and out to lock and unlock the hubs, but for most the gains of using hubs offset the negative things. They also make the pathy turn and glide alot more, and you gain like 1mpg more -
So tyler sinc I have a newer R50 I should go with a 16x8 or 16x10 and backspacing of 3.75 for both correct? And Im going to be running 33x12.5 KM2's, this has confused me alot lol

SOOOOO......When are you building mine?

01silvapathy replied to FUELER's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
So im going to go get some tomorrow, and install them cause I can barely see anything (stock bulbs in a 2001 ) And you only needed one package right? And how was it to take the bulbs out of the twist lock bases? Thats the only part im worried about.
