  1. Got the crank in and got some measurements for the bearings. Times like this I wished I had a bore gauge. Rods look good but I'm concerned about the mains. 1 and 4 are within range loose specifically 0.051 but 2 and 3 are out at 0.078 limit is 0.090 so I'm good in that aspect. I'm wondering if it's because I'm not getting a good torque reading with me doing it upside down. Also number 4 bearings were stuck (snug fit) to the crank when I removed it. 2. There's someone here who made half doors Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
  3. You clean the master switch? maybe the plug is loose on the driver door panel? Faulty fusible link near battery?
  4. My rear right body mounted cracked and ripped when I put my pathfinder on it's side. I welded up what I could back there together and i plan on welding in the frontmost right body mount bracket after I fix my motor. I currently do not have a bracket up front which is causing my fender to sag and rip off the body. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
  5. Spent the last hour or so trying to muscle in thr crank and girdle from under the truck with no luck. Im not sure how accurate of plastigage doing the reverse method. Going to try again and use some cambuckle straps to suspend the crank in the air. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
  6. I did something similar and took some bilsteins for a Chevy truck and drilled out the sleeves larger. To do it right, you'll need to press the sleeve out and drill it. Or maybe you can find a Machine friend make you some new sleeves. Other option is to cut the stock shock stud off and weld in thr right size stud for your new shocks. 7. Reground crank to the last size possible and new turbo oil pump. I messed up using a worn pump originally. New bearings of course too. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
  8. I have no idea how many grooves. I'm guessing 5. The VG33 guys could help you out. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
  9. Here is the link: http://s2.photobucket.com/user/cuongnutz/library/SAC/Nissanpowersteeringpump The truck could really benefit from power steering cooler. The reservoir gets really hot that I can't even touch. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
  10. Let's try this again Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
  11. A lot of the guys here run the Smittybilt winches. Fast spooling and great no questions asked warranty. I have the HF 12k used for a price you'd be stupid to pass up. It's slow and I have only used it to respool using the rear hitch. I'll build a bumper when I get the engine and transmission in order again. Nissannut has builds of his on his web page Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
  12. Getting ready to drop the transmission again and redo the ****** sealant job a shop did a long time ago on my t case. Hoping to get some progress with engine rebuild build 3.3.2. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
  13. Funny, I converted to an xterra pump based on what Nissan nut's experience. Hoped it was worth it. I did take pictures of the internals between the two for comparison which can be found on photobucket Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
  14. How is your battery? Get it tested? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
  15. I did it both ways. Seeing how I was gutting the innards, I ended up rebuilding the whole thing. I would keep your original trans only and if only you had all the parts to do it. You would need the said shaft, the adapter housing and t case. Getting shaft is hard since it involves some slight disassembly of the front section of the trans to remove the c clip that holds the shaft in place. Most people just buy the 4wd trans and tcase attached. Also I do not know the crossmember differences for the r50s. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
  16. Manually was done with key only on outside. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
  17. The housing is the same between a 2wd and 4wd. The difference would be the input shaft length for 2wd and 4wd for the transfer case and an extra clutch disk and steel I believe. I can't remember if first gearing was the same for the car 50s. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
  18. Perhaps you switched a plug with it? Whats wrong Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
  19. Man that's sad to hear. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk

  21. I'm going to have to check my oil pump when I get around to installing mine.
  22. I had my injectors cleaned locally and found out one way completely dead.
  23. Just be aware you are going to be nickled and dimed to death doing a budget SAS build. Cost effective way is to know how to weld and make sure you have everything ready to go in one shot. It would be a waste of a high pinion to go spring under. Leaf springs are always the cheapest route of course and quickest to do. I know of a guy who can set you up quick and fast if you want to go spring over front and rear. One day I'll go coils but until then my fine with what I have as I don't wheel much anymore.
  24. I still use them from time to time but I'm pretty much in the same boat you are. I mostly use Nissan parts deal and courtesy depending on final price.
