Cut him some slack. He's from Canada LOL! J/K. As mentioned, search. There's a few write-ups with lots of details. You can do the swap. You'll have to remove the pilot converter (it's a thick washer pressed into the back of the crankshaft so you can properly mount up the flywheel. It would also help if your Pathfinder is 2wd or 4wheel drive. I think there are slight variations in the transmission crossmember but again, search is your friend. To correct Beastpath, You can use any year trasnfer case you want. 94-95 model pathfinders converted to electrical sensors and doodads but all you have to do is put all your electrical doodads onto the donor part.

I used old ford f100 coils to lift my rear when I did the poor man's lift long time ago. Since the SAS, I never got around to lifting the rear. I've been riding with the gangster lean for some time now.

Bonez, You said you had the 5.5" bronco springs in the rear of your pathfinder? Do you have current pictures of the truck with it installed? I have the 3.5" waiting to be installed and I'm hoping they're tall enough for me.

Ran into a snag with swapping out to a 300zx brake MC. the adapter I bought on eBay does not work because where the brake line threads into the adapter is SAE and not metric. Now I gotta hunt around for another adapter to make it work.

If you don't see a ground going to the exhaust manifold/heatshield than that would be it. Mine snapped off when I replaced the manifolds.

I don't know what size it is but you can use a deep socket or a crescent wrench. Removing the tire will give you more Room to work with. I have a body lift so it makes it easier to access. The valve cover gaskets have a tendency to leak over time. The typical fix is to just tighten the valve cover screws. thought I throw that in for some FYI.

What you need is a wiring diagram from THE FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL! I think there's a link to o e somewhere here.... Someone will chime in. The windows and locks run on relays and are fused at the fuse panel. I do not know where the relays are or where to add them. I'm guessing you would need to wife up the relays and buy them from the dealership or make your own. I know on the older pathfinders, we have a door lock timer that controls the locking and unlocking.

That gives me some confidence. I went to the dealership to check out their gaskets and it seems all 87-2004 vg use the updated pressed steel gasket the superseded the old rubber and steel gasket. Perhaps that's why Fel-Pro updated their design too since the VG33 uses the same type of gasket that is pictured above.

That's good to know! I would be hating life if I had to tear the upper intake off again just to replace it or plug it back in.

Oh okay. Well I found out that Ebay has some super cheap knock sensors at a kajillion % off the normal going price! Just bought one!

Well I found out my motor has a knock sensor all this time. What I'm wondering is, can I leave that thing unplugged? What are the effects of having it plugged in and the sensor go bad?

It would seem that Fel-Pro's quality has gone down over the years. My past experiences with them aren't very good when it comes to lower intake manifold gaskets (different makes, not Nissan). I would like to know if any of YOU have personally replaced your lower intake manifold gaskets with Fel-Pro ones like these: I really prefer the OEM metal and rubber gaskets as that's what came from the factory and has worked.

I know some folks ran straight transmission fluid to clean up the sludge but that took some time. ATF has buttloads of detergents IIRC. Or you could just use WD40 and brush. Have you ever used seafoam?

I checked with the parts store and it was like $60+ Online is another store. I found some wires off the xterra motor that I had in my parts bin. Need to get around to testing it.

Holy, crap. I didn't know spark plug wires were so damn expensive! I'm searching around online for cheaper sets!

I'll see if switching wires around changes anything. Trying to avoid spending money at the moment on the Pathfinder. Maybe there's a dead rat under the cap.

background info: I have a dead #1 and #6 cylinder....meaning I have no compression whatsoever. Well hooked up my timing light to number 1 spark plug wire and I am not getting any light from the gun. I pull the wire off the plug and I'm now getting light from the gun. I also hear the plug wire arcing too. I put the wire back on the plug and the light stops strobing. I test all the plug wires and they work normal except, you guessed it, #6. What on earth is going on and happening here?

It took me about a good 3 hours. Those little coolant hoses are the killer that makes it so difficult. Extend those lines to save yourself some future headaches and swearing.

Can't fit the vg33 tb on the vg30 because of the difference in size and bolt hole alignment. I still have a loose vg33 intake plenum that I can measure for you when I get some time.
