  1. Replaced the alternator belt finally with one from Autozone. My other two belts were Autozone belts as well. The alternator spins freely with no problems. I found out after installing my new belt that there was a groove cut into the old belt by the upper timing belt cover. I was wondering if anyone had this problem. Mine seems to be in awkward angle.
  2. I will probably do the same thing but with a busted recovery strap and my Tundra It looks looks like I will be using bigger bolts where I can. The bolts that came in the body lift are indeed skinny and give play in the sleeves. There's already enough "play" for the sleeves to move around in the frame bracket holes. One thing though, I will have to replace ALL my body mount sleeves as they are bent. I may get lucky and get them bent back straight by putting them in a vice (which I don't have) and pounding it with a BFH. The momentum of the accident pulled the the bolts downward as the body moved forward and the frame moved backwards. and I would assume all the bolts are all straight. The rear body mounts and mid body mounts are now my main concerns are they are threaded internally and not with a simple removable nut. I still need to hit a junkyard a cut the front body mount bracket so I can graft it onto mine. I'm still missing it. My body shop mistakenly threw my old one away.
  3. Make sure the coil pack is hooked up probably. maybe it got disconnected
  4. This happened to be before but I can't remember what I did wrong and what I did to fix it.
  5. My pathfinder was in a front end collision a long time ago. To sum it up, frame stayed but body shifted forward. What I need to do is remove all my body bolts and pull the body rearward somehow and line things up straight again. What I'm scared though is that once I do, the rear bolts and mid cab bolts won't line up since they're slanted. Also, the rear body brackets are cracked and squeak annoyingly over bumps and turns. A. How can I pull the body back with limited tools and living at an apartment complex. I have my portable welder and my booger welds are true. B. Do I remove all the bolts and pull the body backwards, or keep the bolts in and move them backwards? C. Think this is work for a body shop to handle?
  6. I had to cut/bend the fender well to get access to the studs/broken studs when I replaced almost all of mine with 300zx ones. It's a PITA without a body lift. Even with the body lift I still had problem accessing the studs because of angle and room to work with. You might have problems with the heat shields. I had the cut of the bolt heads. Also removing the manifold flange bolts were hard to get as they were rusted and froze. soak the bolts in pb blaster or some kind of super penetrating stuff to break the rust and corrosion.
  7. There was a guy who put something together and ran coilovers adapted to the 4" trailmaster kit. He sold it to a guy with a Hardbody. I remember seeing it over on 4x4parts.
  8. i'll pull off the belt and spin the alt and see if it grinds or anything.
  9. Don't have a sunroof. I can see why folks search high and low for the cover.
  10. I was messing with the pathfinder and checking if my cigarette lighter was working and pulled the fused. Fused was fine but when I pulled it out, the AC clutch disengaged (AC was on). Put the fuse back and the clutch re-engaged. Yes, things have been going downhill for my pathfinder lately.
  11. What's strange is my AC and power steering belt are the brand as my alternator and are not having the same problem. the Alternator belt squeals when I put a load on the engine. Maybe I'll just try another brand of belt.
  12. Yeah, I rode without the headliner and it was even worse! I guess it's time to take another trip to the hardware store.
  13. Summer's here and having a black pathfinder doesn't really help. My AC is blowing somewhat not so nominal (45-50*F) but it's still rather warm in there. My back gets sweaty (cloth seats) and it's not as cool in the back for the passengers. I have legal tint 35% in the front and I think the same for the back. Anyone have this problem?
  14. both of them look the same. the maxima and sentra are dual speeds. and the ac fan is independent from the other.
  15. I have a gates alternator belt (9370) and I've noticed that the belt has been stretching over time and I have to tension it since it squeals and now I'm almost out of bolt. I am wondering if anyone has been having this problem as well?
  16. ratcheting? I can only adjust height on all of mine.
  17. Should work. Is that a custom grill with lights molded in or what? Looks spiffy.
  18. there's quite a few people running those fans. I personally had one until i broke the shroud and threw back on the the fan clutch. you can run dual thermostats or run a single with a manual switch to flip it on high or shut it off for water crossings. I cant remember if the maxima fan had dual speed or not. I know the quest fan does. The topic has been covered numerous times and I used a wiring diagram that someone had here for the setup.
  19. I'm seeing if I can have this company put together a bumper for us together by modifying their current line. It'd be a tubed bumper.
  20. I love mine and It will fit on a 93 as I have a 93. Parts are interchangeable. on all 87-95 pathfinders mostly.
  21. I have to have an additional ground spliced into my original wire harness as it no longer runs right without it.
  22. ^^^ do you have a part number for this?
  23. You just have to be really carefully. I Just used some windex or similar, let it soak, and scrape away. Took me forever and I ended up damaging 2-3 grids. they burned through the tint
